Because you can't argue with all the fools in the world. It's easier to let them have their way, then trick them when they're not paying attention..
Something I "stole" from one of my Facebook friends. Whoever said common sense was common? In our kind of work, we meet people from all circles of life with as varied a background as can be. Something that stands out is always their lack of common sense. I have always taken this for a given. I mean common sense is so basic, now I know differently. Most people have none. They can talk and talk and talk, but what it comes down to is pure ignorance based on a lack of common sense.
All the education in the world cannot compete with plain common sense.
