Time to say Goodbye~

Memories even bittersweet

 ones, are better than nothing...

 I have been fortunate these last few days to

 see and be able to feed Charley. Usually she just

 takes off and if I don’t catch her at a specific

 time she’s gone.  I’m already missing her. 

 I said my goodbyes to the neighbors and to friends.

 It was a little sad to say the least. My birdies and squirrels

 have enough food for a long time.  I have scattered a lot

 of food in several places for them.  I even left a

lot of goodies for our Gerald/groundhog

I look forward to going home, but I am also a little sad. 

 Summer in Branson was good and I’m happy to have 

made some more friends.  The day gave us one of the 

most beautiful sunrises, and we've had many. 

I feel extremely lucky, extremely 

grateful, and a little bittersweet, too...

Monday October 13th~

Life is not always perfect. 

Like a road, it has many bends, ups

 and down, but that’s its beauty...

 The weather tells us that it's about time we

 were going back home to Florida.  Happy and 

at the same time a bit sad.  Sad because I will 

miss my birdies, squirrel and Charley.

As the new week begins the possibilities are endless.

  Pretty soon we will be back home in Florida🌴

Yesterday Arvid and I had dinner at Guy Fieri's

 Branson Kitchen.  First time going there and definitely

 we will be going back for the chicken wings.

As always I am woke up early.  Went out and 

scattered foodies for the birds and peanuts for the squirrels.

  At the same time I got to enjoy the beautiful sunrise.  Life

 is good, even when many days you feel like quitting.

If life were predictable it would 

cease to be life, and be without flavor...

Sunday October 12th~

You don't know if tomorrow will 

come, so do everything you want today...

 As I once mentioned before, one of the best

 steaks I have ever eaten has been right here 

in Branson.  The place Capone's Speakeasy.

Since they are closed on Sundays, Arvid and I 

went there for dinner yesterday.  It did not disappoint.  

Aside from their steak being so delicious, their Caesar

 salad is also one of the best I have ever had.

 and I have Caesar salads quite often.

Yesterday started out very foggy and cold, but 

as the day progressed, it was warm with blue skies.  

A beautiful day.  It had Sniff just gazing out the

 window enjoying the scenery and wildlife.

As always Sunday are somewhat more relaxing than 

the rest of the days.  Not sure why, but it seems that way. 

Sundays I make bacon and eggs for Arvid.  I don't usually

 eat bacon so for me it's just toast and a sunny side egg.  

Every Sunday.  At least as far as Arvid goes.  

All is good here.  We have been driving around and

 I am enjoying all the Halloween preparations.

A happy Sunday to all.  Hope you are enjoying 

the change of weather like we are.  A little cold is 

good.  A lot of cold, then we start to worry 😂

You never want to look back on life and wonder 

why you didn't dance in the rain or grab that kiss.

Saturday October 11th~

Life was always a matter of waiting 

for the right moment to act...

Saturday and once again the games/soccer

 is still on hiatus. All of last week there were no 

games.  Arvid sure had to work to stay busy 😂

These colder days sure bring beautiful

 sunrises and sunsets.  Lucky me, I always

 seem to find that right "moment."

Sniff sees me coming to take a picture and 

he will turn away, but more times than not I do ge

t a good shot of him.  Happy, happy.  Also, Charley

 has been waiting for me these last few days.

Arvid and I met with our good friends and we had

 a very good time.  George is funny and he kept us

 laughing all evening long.  Goes without saying we had

 some yummy appetizers and delicious drinks.  I think 

my drinks were the prettiest, and tasted great 🍹

The morning greeted me with fog and a bit milder 

temperatures.  The day will be warm, sunny and clear

 blue skies.  You know we have to get out and enjoy it.

To all a very good day.  As I was leaving foodies

 for the birdies and squirrels under the various trees, 

Charley caught up with me.  My food bag always

 has food for everyone.  Happy Saturday all.

Most of us live in a fog. It's like life is a movie we arrived to

 20 minutes late. You know something important seems to be 

going on. But we can't figure out the story. We don't know 

what part we're supposed to play or what the plot is....

Friday October 10th~

Every moment has the possibility to be beautiful...

 The summer could not be complete without 

Arvid’s hot chocolate.  Summer became Fall and 

with colder temperatures, hot chocolate is what we

 had.  Arvid considers this specialty.  I have to say, 

he does make a really good hot chocolate.  

Mostly soundtracked by cats meowing a 

Billie Eilish song, these AI-generated fantasties 

tell tales of cheating, revenge and violence and are 

being watched by millions.  Me included 🙈.

When you are feeling a bit restless, Andy's Custard 

is always a good choice.  That's where we went a 

few of days ago.  Happy that we both like it. 

 It is the BEST frozen custard.  A must try.

We were there by sunset and the cooler temperatures 

made it a very pleasant outing. Of course we walked

 around a bit, checked out a new place with chicken 

wings, and of course I had to take a bunch of pictures

 of the Branson Ferris Wheel.  It was a good outing.

Yesterday afternoon all of a sudden Arvid

 asked me if I would like to go out and have a drink. 

 Of course I said yes, but then I asked how come? 

 He said well we need to celebrate the good news.

Who am I to disagree.  Maria Bonita it was.

If all goes well, tonight we will go out with some 

good friends.  We both look forward to it.  After all, 

they were the ones who got us hooked to Branson

 and to being hotel owners.  Our first two hotels 

were a trade from them.  Best trade ever.

The mornings are cooler.  It seems like Sniff 

misses his heating bed.  Every morning I heat up his 

linens in the dryer so that it's nice and toasty.  Now 

he waits until they are warm before laying down.

Friday.  So many possibilities await us.  To 

all a good day and may the weekend ahead be

 a great one.  Ours is looking good.  Weather 

wise we are experiencing beautiful days.

No amount of guilt can change the past, and no

 amount of worrying can change the future...

Thursday October 9th~

The secret to life is finding

 joy in ordinary things...

 The other day Arvid and I went to Big 

Cedar Lodge.  This has been the only place we 

have seen deers every time we go.  At least for 

me.  Arvid has seen them in other places.

At our condo we do not see deers.  I do miss

 them.  When we had the house I saw just about 

every wildlife imaginable, but still happy because 

we do get to see lots of birds and squirrels.

I do see Charley everyday, but she does not 

come for food everyday.  That only shows that she 

has more than enough at home.  Happy about that. 

 When she does come, I always have food for her.

Arvid has been having some busy days helping 

out whenever he can at the hotels.  As he says, 

"I'm busy."  Yes, he's happy to be busy. 

It's not having what you want, 

it's wanting what you've  got. Be simple 

enough to feel the true joy of life...

Wednesday October 8th~

The simplest pleasures are 

sometimes the most extraordinary...

 A few of our favorite places have been visited. 

 One of those being the Table Rock Dam scenic outlook.  

Table Rock Lake has over 800 miles of shoreline.

We have been to Star Bar countless times. It has become 

Arvid's favorite hangout on Fridays with the boys.  Best part

 is that we just have a two minute walk to it.  Good food and 

even better drinks 🍸Arvid and I will miss these outings.

Definitely our most favorite has to be The Landing.  

Be it during the day time or evening. There is something

 about being by the water that soothes and calms you.

We both enjoy just walking around

 and enjoying the ambiance there.

Some of our favorite restaurants happen

 to be there and also a few favorite shops.

One of the reasons Branson is

 so attractive to us is The Landing.

Once can never forget Landshark Margaritaville.  Maybe 

our most favorite place to have drinks on a Friday night.

To all a very good day.  Arvid and

 I still have more to see and do, good thing 

Star Bar is not that far from where we live.

Sniff and Arvid are still asleep.  Normal 

for Arvid, but not for Sniff.  Guess he's 

still very tired from stalking birdies.

If you look for happiness in simple things, 

it becomes very difficult to be unhappy because 

access to simple things is very simple and easy...

Tuesday October 7th~

Every season is ice cream season...

 Yesterday Arvid spent the morning listening to 

educational/informative videos about one of our

 investments.  He listens to it everyday, me 

just whenever it is really important.

Monday was not too exciting, but since we

 had a chore to do downtown we took the opportunity 

to go to Kilwins, located at The Landing.  

I remember one of the very first times going 

to Kilwins.  My mom and dad took us there.  

This was in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

It has since become a favorite, and we try to 

go at least once or twice when in Branson.  We also 

have a Kilwins not far from us in Fort Myers.

All is good here in Branson.  By the end of the day

 yesterday Arvid got really busy.  You know he was 

happy.  Sniff and I took it easy and just chilled.

Life is simple, it's just not easy...

Monday October 6th~ New Week

What you do today can 

improve all your tomorrows...

Arvid and I have a few things going on

 this week.  Some work and some fun. We will 

be staying busy, and nothing beats that.

Yesterday we had another very good outing

 at The Landing.  When the weather is good it is 

the place to be.  At least for us.  You're right on

 the water, and that makes all the difference.

We once again went to one of our favorite places

 at The Landing.  The food never disappoints 

and the ambience is always very relaxing.

Here in Branson the weather is beautiful. 

 Makes being here the right thing to do.  Back home

 in Florida we are still having rain just about every day. 

Not fun at all.  That being said, Florida is home.

To all a very good and productive week ahead. 

 Life may not always be the way we want it, but there 

is always something good in each day.It’s a new week

 with new beginnings. Happy new week ahead.
