Friday January 30th~

Reality continues to ruin my life...

 No one says that Thursdays can't be a little 

special. Middle of the week.  Cold as hell. Just

 the right time for a little something extra.

I keep saying how cold we are here in Florida, 

but then I see Rima's temperature in Virginia and

 I realize we have nothing to complain about.

After lunch we stopped to feed Legacy.  Of 

course she was not there.  Too early for her.  I went

 back in an hour or so and she was there waiting 

on her mat.  Once again she is very skittish. 

Yesterday though a cold day, warmed up nicely

 in the middle of the day.  It turned out to be a beautiful 

day once you were in the sun.  As always, Arvid

 took no chances. He was dressed for winter.

To all a good day and may 

your weekend as they say, be full of

 inappropriate behaviour and fun.

Go to heaven for the climate

 and hell for the company...

Thursday January 29th~

Accept who you are. Unless you're a serial killer...

 Starting off the day with a little humor and a

 few pieces of advice I found online.  You take from

 it whatever suits you best. It goes without saying 

that it is still too cold for us here in Florida.

As usual Sniff is taking it easy.  No 

stress in his life.  Happy for that.  Humor 

is presented as a defense that can "soften 

some of the worst blows that life delivers"

As the "boys" watched soccer, I went to have 

a mani-pedi, then I went to feed Legacy.  I was

 there early this morning, but she wasn't.  Luckily

 she was there in the afternoon waiting for food.

It's already Thursday.  This week has 

gone by fast.  Today I do not cook.  Happy for 

that.  Good morning and a good day to all.

The trouble with having an open mind, 

of course, is that people will insist on coming

😕 along and trying to put things in it...

Wednesday January 28th 🥶~

I wasn't made for winter, I want my flip flops...

Yesterday was cold. Today is even colder🥶

 We spent the day at home except for me going

 to the grocery store and going to feed Legacy.

I went at my usual time. It was super windy

 which made it seem colder that it was. Legacy

 was not there, but I left her food and clean water. 

 She’s smart. Does not come out in the cold. 

Sniff and I spent quite a lot of time covered

 up watching TV. No soccer yesterday, but Arvid 

stayed busy doing whatever it is he does.

The remaining of the week will be very cold. 

The heat is on so when in, we’re nice and warm. 

A good day to all. Please stay warm also. This cold

 in Florida has lasted longer than ever so far🥶

Morning is here, bringing a fresh start, new 

opportunities, and a chance to chase your dreams.

Tuesday January 27th~

Florida Cold: When you see ski jackets, flip-flops,

 and sweaters with shorts, all at the same time...

 Yesterday was just a quiet day at home

  the skies were very dark, but by noon the sun 

came out.  We did have a little drizzle with the 

fog in the early morning.  We need the rain,

 but it still has not really fallen much.

Usually my knee pain is bearable, yesterday 

sure was not one of those days. It really hurt;

 I almost didn’t make it back from our walk.

Legacy was around.  I left her food but she

 never came to eat it.  Yesterday she was once 

again acting scared, but the food was left in case 

she came I really don’t think she’s starving.

Sniff spent the day sleeping and just

 crying for food.  He gets soft food twice a 

day, but he wanted more  didn’t happen.

The rest of the evening was quiet, getting colder and 

windier.  Waking up to a colder morning, but still much

 better than what many are having.  All our families and

 most friends are having extremely cold weather❄  

The day started very cold, but the sun is shining.

Monday January 26th~

Each week offers you a new

 canvas—paint it with purpose...

 First he woke up on his warming bed as if

 wondering what is going on and why have I not 

been fed already.  Then he goes to his mat and

 waits for his food.  It happens this way every

 morning.  And so a new week begins.

Start the new week with a fresh perspective, 

focusing on new goals, a positive mindset,

 and, most importantly, taking action.

Bad weather is what most of our friends

 and family are currently experiencing. It’s

 just one big snow storm after another.  I’m

 so worried if they should all lose power. 

My sisters all received a good amount of snow. 

 Last Nina mentioned they had 21 inches in her 

hometown of Pennsylvania.  As of today I do

 not know if they have lost power so far.

Meanwhile here at home, Arvid, Sniff and I 

enjoyed a warm Sunday.  We had a very nice 

outing with outdoor seating. The place was packed, 

food was good as were the drinks.  There was

 also live music.  Could not be any better. 

 Afterwards we walked around the marina a 

little enjoyed the boats and had some entertainment 

watching couples paddle boarding.  Afterwards we came

 home and we went to feed Legacy.  A bit later than

 usual, but she was there. Sitting and patiently

 waiting. She’s getting friendlier every day. 

The new week so far does not look too

 busy, but if things go the way we want them

 to it will get busy.  For us busy is good.

Sunday January 25th~

You should never feel guilty 

for allowing yourself time to rest...

 Going to feed Legacy has become part of my daily 

routine, and I really enjoy it; especially when she 

does show up.  Which I will say if 99% of the times.  

Yesterday I went early in the morning to clean her area.  

Not expecting her to be there.  She was, and had already 

been fed by someone else.  So I cleaned up, put fresh 

water and left.  I went in the afternoon which is my 

usual time.  She was there.  Waiting for foodies.

We have been enjoying a few days of warmth.  

Branson is having 11 degrees Fahrenheit (-12C).  

Rima right now in Virginia is also having 11F 

(-12C) with tomorrow going down to -4F (-20C).  

It's cold in her town of Berryville, VA❆

I can't complain when it gets cold here again on 

Monday.  Though it will be in the low 30's F (2C) it is

 still better than what Branson and Virginia is having. 

 The iguanas will be dropping like crazy again.

Sundays somehow are always a bit

 slower and more relaxing.  Either that or

 I have made myself to believe so. 

I’ve decided to be happy

 because it is good for my health...

Saturday January 24th~

Fill your weekend with sunshine 

and your heart with joy...

 Yesterday I did the Trader Joe run. Yes, bread 

for Arvid and few things I like for me.  It gave

 me a chance to get out a little on my own.

We had a quiet lunch at home and then 

I got caught up on some housework and a

 bit reading.  Reading relaxes me. Whenever 

I have some free time, I read.  If the book

 is boring, I always read the ending first.

Later in the afternoon I of course went

 to feed Legacy and then Arvid and I did our

 Friday outing. She was not scared anymore.

We started out at Luminary.  Great views

 and the perfect place to watch the sunset.

  The views did not disappoint nor did the sunset. 

Luminary rooftop bar is a favorite place for sunset 

seekers.  Almost impossible to get a table during 

that time.  We happened to be in luck yesterday.

 What was annoying were some extremely loud

 people sitting right behind us.  They ruined the rest 

of the evening.  I don’t understand why people have to

 be so loud.  I find it completely unattractive and lacking

 of class and manners.  Because of that we left shortly

 after the sunset. So did another group of people.

 Even the wedding party was annoyed.

The evening was still young so we went to

 Ford's Garage, downtown.  It’s the perfect spot 

to see everyone and everything.  It was a perfect

 evening to sit outdoors and just enjoy living.

Everything looks so much better at night. 

The lights, the people and just life in general. 

 Downtown was very busy. Filled with people, 

laughter, life, entertainment. I always love it.

Friday January 23rd~

May your day be full of small wins and big laughs...

 Yesterday morning while we were having 

breakfast the fog rolled in, and it remained foggy 

for quite a few hours afterwards.  Interesting to

 see  and luckily after we came back from

 mom and dad the fog had cleared up.

Waking up this morning to fog once 

again.  Not a usual thing but two days in

 a row makes for a different kind of morning

 pictures.  Not bad, just a bit different.

We went to mom and dads and they also had 

early morning fog, that cleared up while we were 

there. Arvid assembled a few things my dad had 

bought. A cabinet and some shelves for the garage. 

As mentioned before Arvid looks at this as 

exercise. Yesterday he had a good one. 

On our way back home we stopped into a little

 Bistro by us. It opened up just a few month now and

 they specialize in all kinds of sandwiches, salads

 and delicious cafes.  I had to try the cafe latte. 

Did not disappoint.  The sandwiches were also 

very delicious and huge. I still have half left.

While Arvid watched a soccer game I went to feed 

Legacy. She was on her pink mat. Waiting for her

 foodies. She ate then took a break to lick 

her food off her face. Happy Legacy.

The fog is still hanging around.  Friday and our 

usual would be to go downtown.  Back to beautiful warm 

Florida weather.  Makes for a good outing later today.

Sun on my face, worries erased...

Thursday January 22nd~

Acknowledging the good that 

you already have in your life is the 

foundation for all abundance...

 Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful day. 

Legacy was back on her spot and she didn’t act 

scared   Hopefully that will be the same today 

Arvid of course had a few soccer games.

 Both he, Sniff and In watched. I only watched

 it on and off.  Pretty boring most of them.

After the game we went for our walk. 

Perfect ending of the day. It was warm and

 we enjoyed another beautiful sunset. 

Life’s simple pleasures are always the best. 

 Throughout it all Sniff had quite a few naps, but 

always close to us.  Morning is here and Sniff is

 been patiently waiting for food on his mat.

To all a very good day.  Today we visit

 mom and dad, and yes my dad has a few things

 for Arvid to assemble.  Good times ahead.

Gratitude turns what we have into enough...

Wednesday January 21st-

If you are always trying to be normal, you

 will never know how amazing you can be...

 Yesterday was quiet. Well mostly.  Arvid always 

has something to do and somehow I am always part

 of the plan 😂 Sometimes I would like him to do his 

errands alone. Just like I do mine. One can hope.

Heat is still going since the apartment is really cold 

otherwise, the outside temperature is not bad at all.  Yesterday 

I saw that Florida in many part had the same temperature

 as Alaska's state capital. Yesterday here in Ft.Myers we

 also woke up to the same temperatures 37F (3C) 

 Today is looking much warmer.

In the afternoon I went to feed Legacy.

 Once again she was not there.  The landscaper 

guys trimmed the trees in her area, made lots 

of noise and I guess that kept her away.

 Her area needed a good cleaning so I 

cleaned up.  Collected the trash, someone had 

opened a can of food and left it for her. She 

ate half the other half I trashed because 

I’m afraid of the ant infestation. 

I really don’t like when they leave the 

food in the can. She can get hurt.  Anyway, I

 cleaned up. Left her fresh water and dry food. 

Back home Arvid was still watching TV.

 Sniff was asleep but keeping an eye on the 

game every so often. Both happy as a clam. 

As the week progresses, it is also going

 to get warmer.  More like Florida, less 

like Alaska.  A very good day to all.
