Monday March 16th~

Look for something positive in each day, even

 if some days you have to look a little harder...

 The new week is here and it holds a few exciting

 things for us.  It's a week closer to hopefully Arvid's

 brother visiting. Fingers crossed that this works out.  

I am also very excited and do hope he visits.  I 

know Arvid is definitely counting the days.

Yesterday I had a few hours with mom and dad. 

 Was relaxing and as usual I brought home food. 

Today I just have to cook for Arvid since

 I will eat my mom's food.  So happy.

We have had a little rain.  As I left mom and

 dad's the rain just came down.  Back home

 Arvid was still watching the soccer game.  

Afterwards we went to Pinchers for our Sunday 

outing.  I am not really crazy about their food.

  I had the snow crab.  It was okay, but the time

 before it was much better.  Best snow crab was

 in Key Largo.  I would go back just for that.

After lunch I went to feed Legacy.  I also stopped

 by her on the way to mom and dad's earlier in the 

morning.  She was there both times and Newbie was

 also there in the morning.  Both ate, so I was happy.

Sniff is being Sniff difficult and moody

 right now.  Yesterday morning as Arvid was talking

 to his brother Sniff got mad and really jealous. He 

meowed/cried non-stop.  The same he does when 

we Facetime with the girls.  He does not like 

Arvid Facetiming with anyone. Possessive.

A few errands to start the day.  Sadly 😂we

 have to do them together.  I like doing my errands,

 and my things on my own but Arvid likes to do

 things together. Gotta do what you gotta do.

Once the week begins we get so busy that 

before you know it it's over.  Good and bad.  

Time unfortunately waits for no one.

To live a fulfilled life, we need to keep creating 

the 'what is next' of our lives. Without dreams and 

goals there is no living, only merely existing...

Sunday March 15th~

Because life is short and lacks a

 rewind button, it is essential to enjoy the ride, 

make meaningful choices, and embrace the

 journey rather than just the destination...

 Arvid and I took a trip yesterday to Port Charlotte

It's just a 45 minute drive from us; we met with one

 of the real estate traders  arvid always hoping to get

 something going.  Now to wait and see We’re always 

optimistic that something will happen  if anyone 

knows how to make deals it’s definitely Arvid. 

 

Once back home I made lunch  our schedule is such 

that I usually start early because you never know when 

we have to run.  By early afternoon I’m usually tired because 

I do everything at home that has to do with cleaning cooking, 

Sniff, grocery shopping.  Everything.  Arvid wonders 

sometimes why I am so tired when he is not 😱

Yesterday I was really tired. I look forward to 

having some alone time when Arvid goes to Norway  I 

really can use the rest. Yesterday after lunch I washed and 

folded  2 loads of laundry and then went to Trader Joe’s

 for his bread.  Today I still have laundry and change

 of bed linens.  It’s a good thing I don’t have to

 cook on Sundays  it’s kind of a recharge day.

Today I plan on visiting mom and dad for 

a little while Arvid watches soccer. It's always a 

good time.  The week was very busy so we did not

 have much time to go over   We did take a trip

 earlier in the week so that was good too.

Hopefully today will be more relaxing. 

 Sundays usually are. It gets me rested up for the

 new week.  In our life you never know what 

happens.  We take off without notice.

All is good Sniff has been playing a little 

with one of his flying toys.  The truth is he just 

wants to bite off the elastic string  he’s bitten it

 off in several places and I just knot them back

 together it’s getting shorter and shorter.  Sniff 

bites everything in sight. Me included💚

Around 5:30 yesterday afternoon I went to

 feed Legacy and she was there, the key is going 

an hour later than what I did before. Time

 change affected her schedule as well.

Back home Arvid was still watching soccer.

 We spent a quiet evening at home with

 Sniff watching a movie on Netflix.

A good morning and a good day to all.  Sunday

 and I’m looking forward to not doing too much 

today.  As little as possible if I can help it.

As they say, life comes at you fast.

 It can change in an instant...

Saturday March 14th~

I've learned so much from my mistakes, 

I'm thinking of making a few more...

 With the heat and this drought we are experiencing, 

the poor wildlife have no water at times.  On one of our

 walks I did notice a tree trunk shaped as a bowl.  Now 

when we go for walks I carry a big bottle of water 

for them also.  Boy is my food bad heavy.  

Arvid and I ended up going downtown for a little

 outing, and since we were both busy during the day we 

really did not have anything to eat at home.  We ended 

up having dinner at Ford's Garage. Always interesting to

 see what state is most visited here in Fort Myers.

Our waiter was from Kansas City, Missouri.  We 

chatted with him and I found out that one day he just 

decided he was not going to live in the cold anymore.

  He packed his bags and moved to Fort Myers. 

 I asked if he had any relatives here and he said no, 

but that his mom has a friend living in fort Myers Beach.

  Dylan had been here for two months and working at 

Ford's Garage for one.  He says he loves it and though

 he loves Missouri he does not miss the cold.

Yesterday as we walked to downtown it looked like

 the rain would come down on us at any given time.  The 

skies were dark, but we were lucky we got home just 

in time before the rain came.  It rained pretty hard. 

 Florida is grateful for any rain it gets right now.  

Most of the state in is a serious drought.

On our way to downtown I always stop to feed Legacy. 

 She was not there neither was Newbie, but I cleaned up

 her area, left clean water and food.  All is good here at

 home.  Sniff and I got up early, he ate and now he's back 

to bed.  Another "busy" day for us.  Happy for that.

Good morning all.  Looks like we

 will be having some more rain.  Yay!

For after all, the best thing one can

 do when it is raining is to let it rain...

Friday 13th~

I would be more worried about 

Friday the 13th, if my life wasn't already a 

never ending series of unfortunate events...

Good morning, it's Friday the 13th. 

 Just warning you before you make any

 plans at wood cabins by the lake.

 As I had mentioned in a previous post, 2026

 has three Friday the 13th.  Today is the second 

one and the last Friday the 13th falls in November. 

 Do I believe in this?  No I don't but the aura

 around it is always fascinating.  Either way,

 be careful because you never know what 

can happen on a Friday the 13th.

Anytime we go downtown we always have a good 

outing.  Yesterday we went to one of our favorite lunch

 spots, Ichiban.  It never disappoints.  Hopefully we will

 be able to go there with Arvid's brother if he comes.

Arvid and I had a very good day.  Of course

 he "celebrated" with a couple of Kirin Ichiban. 

 It is extremely hot right now in Forth Myers.

Winter is not over with.  Yesterday Nina and 

David have a heavy snowfall in Pennsylvania.

Thursday March 12th~

Just take things as they come.

 And, as you go through life, find as 

much good as you possibly can...

 Aside from not getting anything done 

yesterday, it turned out after all to be a pretty

 relaxing day. As always there is something 

that needs to be done. I did some grocery

 shopping and some other mundane chores.

Arvid watched soccer as usual, with Sniff 

by his side. Because time has not changed yet 

in Europe, the games start an hour later, hence 

ending an hour later. Perfect time to go for

 a walk and then feed Legacy and Newbie.

We enjoyed a pleasant walk downtown.  Always 

something to see.  It's warm and people are enjoying 

the outdoor life. When we got home I was able

 to catch some of the sunset, a happy day.

Nothing much planned for today.  Lunch 

probably downtown.  It is after all Thursday.

To all a very good day.  Take it easy.  Take it as 

it comes and in the process have some fun.

Wednesday March 11th~

When one has a grateful heart, life is so beautiful.

 Our families are breathing a little easier today.  

My uncle is doing better and if he continues with this 

trend he should be back home in no time and back to his

 shenanigans. Everyone is super happy and thankful.  To 

those who put in a good word for him, thank you also.

I am still hesitant to check my eagles page.  I do check

 once a day soon little E26 will be fledging, that is taking 

her/his first flight from the nest.  M15 is super dad. When 

E26 does leave the nest she will be prepared, because her dad

 taught her everything she would need to know to survive.

Everything that was supposed to happen yesterday

 did not, that means that today we will be busy again.  

Yesterday we did a lot of cleaning. We moved things 

around and boy did we have a lot of “hidden” dust.

In the afternoon I went to feed Legacy and Newbie. 

Neither of the two were there. I even went much

 later than usual, but maybe I have to go even later. 

With the time change, it’s still very bright. 

Sniff had some good cuddle time with Arvid while

 he was watching the soccer.  Afterwards he had cuddle 

time with me. Perfect way to close off the day.

Morning is here.  Sniff and I have been up for a while.  

Peaceful and quiet.  Just me and my thoughts.  Sniff already ate 

and is back in bed with Arvid.  To all a very good day.

Tuesday March 10th~

It makes a big difference in 

your life when you stay positive...

 Yesterday we went over to mom and dad's. Mom 

is having a difficult time, after all, her baby brother

 is in the hospital and no one knows what will happen, 

we wait. Of course we are all praying for a miracle.

We spent a couple of hours with them.  Arvid and my 

dad did a few things and yet again, my dad found another 

clock for Arvid to hang.  When we were in the car heading 

back home Arvid said to me, "your mom and dad have

 some fancy stuff in their home."  One thing about my dad,

 when he gets something it is always of good quality.  Their

 clocks were all adjusted to the new time via satelite.

  Arvid is a little behind at times in technology.

Yesterday I was not able to go walking with Arvid. 

 I did go to feed Legacy but she was not there.  My guess 

is I now have to go an hour later.  Legacy's "clock" also

 adjusted to the time change.  To my surprise there was another

 little kitty there.  Exactly like Sniff.  Of course I left enough 

food for both of them.  For now I call him Newbie.

To all a very good day.  Today we will be busy.

You need an attitude of survive. You’re not

Monday March 9th~

 Hello Monday! Welcome, new week. I look 

forward to all your challenges and successes...

The new week begins; and once again on not 

such a good note.  Yesterday we found out that 

one of my uncles, my mom's youngest brother 

is in the ICU.  He is not doing great.  Please

 say a little prayer that my uncle wakes up.

2026 has not been a good year so far. 

 So much death.  So much tragedy.  At times 

you ask yourself if you can take anymore.

 Truth is, what else can you do. 

 Life goes on with or without you, but the 

heartache,grief stays with you much longer.

  You don't talk about it all the time.  You carry on.  

You move on and when you find yourself alone

 your thoughts take over.  At least that's how it

 happens to me.  Not easy, but you learn.

The above is so true for those who have experienced

 loss.  Lately our family has experience more than 

enough.  It would be nice to have happy times.

Yesterday Arvid and I had a very nice outing, 

but honestly my thoughts were far away, thinking of

 my aunt, cousins and my uncle.  Not to mention all

 the family who is not here and not sure what 

is going on.  Life is definitely not easy.

Arvid and I were not the only ones 

enjoying a relaxing outing at the beach. 

While one may feel shattered by life's 

hardships, the capacity to continue living,

even with deep, lasting scars—persists.

Sunday March 8th~

If at first you don’t succeed, try,

 try again. Then quit. There’s no point 

in being a damn fool about it...

 Funny signs are proof that the world has a 

sense of humor, often turning mundane warnings into 

unexpected moments of joy and irony. These signs frequently

 highlight the absurdity of daily life, transforming simple 

instructions into hilarious, memorable experiences.

The hanging gardens sign is right across the

 street from wehere Legacy is.  It is also the place 

where the rest of her siblings and mama lives.  At 

least that's what Abe, one of the guys who work there

 and who also feeds the kitties.  I provide the food.

Yesterday Arvid were about to head out downtown

since we could not do it on Friday, when suddenly 

it looked like it was going to pour.  Of course we

 didn't go.  I just went to feed Legacy and the 

birds.  Luckily she was there and not not scared.

We really hope Arvid's brother visits us this year

 since  Victoria and Michael could not make it.

  They have a lot going on in Norway and they 

considered it best to stay put and take care of 

their own stuff first.  Business before fun. That is

 the smart move, but we always have such a good

 time with them.  I really look forward to seeing

 everyone this summer in Norway.  Our three 

granddaughters are getting so big now.

 We would love to show his brother where

 we live and do a few things with him. Would 

be great for him and Arvid to spend some time

 together and do a few things on their own.

Sniff had a very relaxing day yesterday.  Of course 

he was being difficult to eat, but somehow Arvid 

always manages to get him to eat some food.

When Arvid wants he is really patient.  He goes

 to where Sniff has his food and just taps it and gently

 talks to him while he, Sniff eats.  Works everyday

 and now I think Sniff expects to be begged to eat.

Sunday and the day is looking good.  No rain in our

 forecast as yet.  We really need it, at the same time it sure 

does not allow us to do what we want to.  In the big picture, I 

do hope we get the rain we need, only not when we are out 😂

Everybody wants happiness, and nobody wants pain, 

but you can't have a rainbow without a little rain...
