Hello Beautiful Day ~

Life is good.  Sometimes we forget...

Yesterday was all about J's apartment.  It's an 

amazing spot.  It is so beautiful where he lives that Arvid 

said to me, "we can even live here.  Would you like to move?"  

Of course I said yes, but no we will not be moving.  

We LOVE his place.  It has everything you need.

We spent a few very good hours with J.  Both Arvid 

and I look forward to the next time we can visit.  There is

 everything we could need.  Right at his doorstep.  We already

 saw a few restaurants and would love to try it out with J.

J's building has 4 hot tubs and it has the most

palm trees I have ever seen in a condo building.  His 

pool area puts ours to shame.  Big time.  It's just

 the most amazing outdoor space I have seen.

We all loved it.  It looks like a hotel, but even better.

The hammocks in the "social" spot are very cool.

My parents also took us out to dinner yesterday. 

 Today Arvid and I have the day to ourselves and

 so do my mom and dad.  They also enjoy that.

New Week Already ~

Tomorrow is often the busiest day of the week.

Start where you are.  Use what you have.  Do what you can...

Just when we start getting used to the so called "good" weather,

 we are hit with more tornado weather, rain, thunder, lightning and more flooding.

  Just hope this will not be the trend.  Once again Sniff is scared and has

 stopped eating.  Just when he gets over the last bad weather, the next 

one hits us.  It's getting to be very annoying now.  Wish it would just

 be summertime weather.  Warm and beautiful sunshine.

Here at our two hotels fortunately all is well.  No flooding or major 

disturbances.  I do have a very concerned citizen living at Almost Home.

  During the last tornado warning she got out her bull horn and at 

1 am started knocking on everyone's door.  

She was yelling that they should all basically evacuate their rooms 

and seek cover.  We do have a safe room for this. All was OK.  

The wind was howling.  Heavy rain, thunder and lightning, 

but noting serious.  Weirdest thing is that I am getting

 used to this crazy weather in Missouri.

Looking forward to the new week and to what it holds. 

 Already Tuesday.  Almost Home is still at 100%.  Hopefully we will 

be able to get all the approvals required for opening the pool.  

So far we are looking good.  Pool is sparkling clean, but a tad

 bit chilly since the sun has been in hiding.

The new week promises to bring sunshine and some more

 rain showers.  At least it will not be cold. Warmer/hot 

days are here to stay.  Happy about that.

Hello's From Chicago...

Home is an invention which no one has yet improved.
Home is any four walls that enclose the right person....

Greetings from Chicago.  

The apartment looks really good even though it was closed up for 8 months.  Pretty soon 

Arvid and I will be enjoying the balcony and the views while Sniff sleeps like the baby 

he is.  Hopefully he will get used to it, and like Brutus enjoy life here in Chicago.

Scenes from Chicago.  Brutus no matter where he lived with us, he always found the

 best spots to enjoy the views.  I am missing him terribly right now.  As we came

 into the apartment I felt like my heart was breaking again in pieces.  

Yes, I love Sniff Sniff, but remember that for 9 years Brutus was my life.  We took him

 to Chicago from 2010 until last year.  We took him to the Bahamas.  It will take me 

some time, but one day I will get there.  For now I have to make sure Sniff Sniff

 is good and has everything he needs. Sniff Sniff is good for us.  Yes he is.

Good morning everyone.  It's good to be back in the Windy City.  

Brutus, mama and dada came home without you...again.  I love this city, but I loved

 it more because you were here with us.  I miss you so very much, but now we

 have Sniff Sniff.  I love him, but Brutus you will forever be my baby.

Let the good times roll..
