Wednesday July 30th~

Make this day your best yet by focusing 

on the good in every moment...

 The birdies are so close, but yet it feels so far away.  

They are still not staying very long on the deck, 

but they do sit right out of reach where we can

 still see them.  Very frustrating for Sniff.

The other day Arvid and I just had to get out for a bit.  

What better place to go to than Andy's Frozen Custard.  

I don't know about you, but after having Andy's Frozen

 Custard I would choose it any day over ice-cream.  

What is the difference between ice cream and custard?

The primary difference between ice cream and frozen custard 

lies in the presence of egg yolks and the production process.

 Frozen custard must contain at least 1.4% egg yolk solids,

 while ice cream typically contains less. Custard also tends 

to be churned slower, resulting creamier texture. It was hot,

 so Arvid and I ate our frozen custard in the car with AC.

Lately since we have been indoors so much, we have 

been watching way to much TV in between of everything else. 

 Even Sniff watches with us.  The thing is whoever gets up

 from their seat, it gets "stolen" by Sniff.  Last night it was

 my spot that was taken.  Ne never moves after that.

To all a very good day.  While I wait for my wildlife friends,

  I will enjoy the sunrise and a piece of heaven from Norway.  

Once you've had this chocolate, you will never eat any other.

Halfway to the weekend! Keep pushing forward...

Wednesday October 23rd~

If the only prayer you said in your whole 

life was, 'thank you,' that would suffice...

Every morning Arvid starts his day reading the news, 

and as always I get my share of it from him.  Usually it's 

always about climate change and how the world is doomed. 

 Maybe, maybe not.  I like to think that we humans may find

 the way to save ourselves 🙏.  Just a positive thought. 

 As Arvid always says, "It's not looking good for the 

younger generation as in our grandkids."

 A few more pictures from our Sunday outing. It was 

another very beautiful day.  The weather was good, food

 and drinks were good and the palm trees were swaying.  

Of course there is Halloween decorations everywhere.

There was also a nice breeze coming our way.  Made for 

a perfect outdoor dining experience.  As we were dining we 

overheard the people next to us talking to the waitress.  

Both the couple and the waitress were transplants 

from Fort Lauderdale.  They were discussing the pros 

and cons of both places, but they all ended up with, "that's

 why we're here."  That's the same I can say for Arvid 

and I.  After all was said and done, we chose to 

live in Fort Myers, and we have no regrets.

It is always a treat when we do go to Fort Lauderdale. 

 After all it's where both Arvid and I have lived most of our lives.

  It's beautiful, there are many restaurants we love, and we get

 to see a few people and do a few things we like, but at the

 end of the day it's good to go back home.  Strange how when

 we think of home, we now think of Fort Myers as such 🌴.

Sniff's having one of those "I'm not ready to face the 

day "kind of day right now.  Yup he need more sleep 

and he sure gets it.  We have a few things to do today 

again, so it's a happy busy day once again for us.

A good day to all.  Remember that humor makes 

everything better.  “Have you ever noticed that 

anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and 

anyone going faster than you is a maniac 😂😂?

Never regret anything you have done with a sincere 

affection; nothing is lost that is born of the heart...
