Sunday February 12th

You cannot protect yourself from sadness 

without protecting yourself from happiness..

Nothing in this world is permanent; change is the rule of nature. 

No matter how challenging your day is, it will still end, and tomorrow

 will bring you new energy and hope. It is the same for pleasant days 

as well.  The journey starts at one point and ends at another.  

I'm a little  sad right now.  Emotional is a better word, but

 in a few days it will be better.  I just loved doing something each 

day with my mom.  I also know they are happy to be going home.

Sunday.  Back to our usual routine.  Just Arvid, Sniff and I. 

 I like it, but I enjoyed our outings with mom and dad.  

As Nirvana would say, "it be like that sometimes."

Arvid is his usual restless man.  Who knows now that 

he's not looking for homes for my parents he will be back 

looking at cars and wanting to go to car shows 🚗. 

Thank goodness for music. Last night Arvid and I "discovered"

 a new place for music.  The Franklin Social in Naples.  Small, 

cozy and just very cute.  The food is also very good 🍕

Tuesday February 7th 🌴

Never let the fear of striking

 out keep you from playing the game...

 What a day yesterday.  Busy from the moment we woke up,

 but then the afternoon was much more relaxing.  Spent it 

with mom and dad and then we met Arvid and toured the 

downtown a bit.  Downtown is very small, and we like it. 

Of course we had to take mom to our favorite pit stop.

  You’d guessed it.  Downtown Pizza.  My dad did not come

 along which was disappointing because Arvid was all ready 

to take him to have a few cold ones.  As Nirvana

 would say, “it be like that sometimes.”

Mom and Arvid shopped downtown while I held the

 bags 🙄. Can’t believe Arvid went windows shopping. 

Of course he found something and after getting

 my approval that I also liked it, it was ours.

Today will be a lot more relaxing.  Thank goodness no

 long drives like the last few days.  We are both tired driving. 

This has been so far a perfect 2023, and the year

 is still young. Can’t wait to see what the next 

few months have in store for us.  Excited

  I’m happy and I’m grateful and yes, I have begun with

 doctors and everything is starting all over again.  I feel 

good and I know everything is going to be all right.

A good day to all.  Sniff is by my side right now and life is good. 

 Mornings are quiet peaceful time with just Sniff and I.

Sunday December 11th ~

 Appreciate every little beautiful moment in every day of your life. 
Give it a try and you’ll see the world from another perspective...

We had a nice and quiet day yesterday.  Arvid and Sniff 

enjoyed some soccer, I baked my bread pudding which 

came out okay, but unfortunately not a complete hit

 with Arvid.  Said he prefers the rice pudding.

I actually missed going to my radiation therapy.  I have 

met a few ladies there and it is always nice to converse with them, 

an no we don't talk cancer.  We talk about everything else.  There's 

lots of laughter and a lot of getting to know each other. 

 Life is strange.  You meet people under so many different 

circumstances, and you find out they all have a story to tell, and I 

don't mean about the cancer that is also affecting them.  People 

are just interesting and heartwarming.  I look forward to going

 because I look forward to talking to my new friends.

Not much planned for today.  Unfortunately there are no 

soccer games on the schedule. These are the times when Arvid

 is most restless and does something "crazy"  Most times I like

 that something, other times well not so much.  As of lately

 he has been pretty "calm" in the "crazy" department.

Last night there was a fly or something buzzing around. 

 Let's just say, Sniff got no rest.  He cased the fly everywhere,

 even though we never saw it, Sniff was on the alert.

That fly kept him busy all night long and meowing most of 

the evening as well.  Always fun to watch Sniff go on the prowl. 

 After all, he's not the bravest of kitties, but he sure is a hunter.

Perfect happiness is a beautiful sunset, the giggle of a 

grandchild, the first snowfall. It’s the little things that make happy 

moments, not the grand events. Joy comes in sips, not gulps...
