Monday June 13th ~

Monday is like the rising sun.  It's time to shine brightly...

Talk about hot, this was yesterday and the
rest of the week promises to be as hot if not hotter.
I am definitely not liking this right now.  I loke cooler
temperatures.  Not winter, just a little cooler.
As in maybe as in 35 degrees cooler ๐Ÿ˜‚

A new week begins.  I only we had more rooms at AHL.
The calls coming in to rent a room is constant.  It just
goes to show the lack of living quarters ๐Ÿก available
for the people here in Branson.  Very sad indeed.

Whenever I know I will probably have a room available for rent,
it's rented even before the tenant leaves.  I have one room which
I was told for the last two months that the tenant will be leaving
because she need to be in an assisted living place.  That room
is already spoken for by many.  Unfortunately for all ๐Ÿ˜
my tenant cannot seen to have a date for her move.

To all a good day. May the new week be one filled
with positivity and may we work hard to achieve
those goals we set out for ourselves ๐Ÿ˜€

Believe you can, and you're halfway there...

Saturday ~

Happy are those who take life day by day, complain
very little and are thankful for the little things in life...

Early mornings.  The temperature is cooler and the ocean
breeze makes the walk so much better.  Not many people
are out at this hour, and I like it.  When I go walking
I usually just walk only within our complex.

It's just me, the birds, the mountains and some stray kitties.
I have taken to feeding the kitties, but I have to do it in such a
way no one sees me.  It's sort of not allowed to do so, but they look
so hungry, I just can't bear to see them this way.  Every morning
I carry dry foodies and a canned food.  I leave it in a designated
spot, and as of now just one kitty goes and eats.  I'm happy.

Some days when I just want some additional quiet time
I go to the pool area and read or just listen to music.  Very
relaxing and also very quiet.  Unfortunately, the pools
and the gym are still closed.  COVID! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜•

Sniff is counting down the days to Halloween.  He sure
hopes it passes fast so that we can start to count down to
Thanksgiving.  Living the life of a leisure kitty he is.

Saturday is already warm and sunny.  Not complaining
because many have it cold already, and would be glad to have
the warmth we are experiencing.  Always grateful.

We should always remember to not always brood over
our misfortunes, but be thankful for what we still have.

Life in Puerto Rico is never boring.  Always something
interesting going on.  Even the chickens find the "scenery" to
their liking.  Happy Saturday all, and may it be a great one.

When asked if my cup is half-full or half empty,
my only response is that I am thankful I have a cup...

Saturday March 27th ~

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world...

Humor always makes everything seem better.
At least for a short while.  One is transported from a bleak
situation to something "better"  Laughing and smiling
frequently alleviates some of life's stresses.

I saw the above posted on Facebook.  It made both
Arvid and I smile.  Hope it does the same for you.

Today my reminiscing take me back to California
and time with Rima and family.  I miss them very much.
California right now seems so very far.  Everywhere
seems far when you literally can't leave your home.

We all have our ways of coping with the current
situation.  For us it's the balcony.  For Rima its her
tropical outdoors and the sound of the birds chirping
away.  Life is what we make of it after all.

In Australia Reshma is enjoying what time she has left.
It is now mandatory that she returns home to the USA.
Right now she is OK with that.  All things considered.
For now she still has some time left to live her down
under adventure, which she is doing quite well๐Ÿ˜.

In Norway our granddaughters are spending lots of
time riding their bicycles.  Vanessa the youngest, learnt
how to ride hers.  Something good in every situation.

Sniff as always is relaxed.  He does different things
at different times of the day.  By 4 in the afternoon he is
sunning.  He loves the sun.  He's a Florida boy after all.

As Arvid did with Brutus, he now is doing some
of the same with Sniff.  Just a few days ago, Sniff was
not doing so good.  Not eating and just sneezing.

Arvid went on his knees. by Sniff's food bowl and
sang to him.  Like Brutus used to do, Sniff ate some
foodies.  Was a beautiful moment.  For us it was.

A beautiful day here again, only difference is we
cannot go out of our homes, even so we are enjoying
people watching from our balcony.  We are grateful because
unlike many, we keep ourselves busy with little
things to do while enjoying a pretty view.

There is always hope, even when you are at the
lowest point of your life.  Keep believing.
Whatever you are be a good one...

Happy Days ~

No one has the power to make you
happy or unhappy unless you allow them...

One year ago I was visiting Mala and family in
Vermont.  There was so much snow.  Today for some reason
I was thinking of the snow and how beautiful everything
looked banqueted in it.  I love the warm weather, but
snow is beautiful.  Especially at Christmas.

Here in Fort Lauderdale it is nice and warm.
Palm trees everywhere and boats passing by.  Definitely
the absolute best at this time of the year.

Arvid has been on a foodie journey lately.  Now he's
sampling things that at one time he never would have.
Thank you Branson for opening up his taste buds to so many
deliciousness the world has to offer.  I am happy also because
now we can enjoy some of the foodies I like... together.

Wishing everyone a happy day.
Friday tomorrow, and that's always good.

Life is too short to be anything but happy...

Happy Happy ~

Happiness is not something ready
made it comes from your own actions...

I have seen happiness and I have seen love, and this is what it looks like.

Wer arrived yesterday in Norway.  We went to Arvid's mom,
and then to Michelle's.  As soon as the door opened we saw
these two faces.  Before I knew what was going on Aleah
jumped on me and wrapped her legs around my waist,
and I had the best hug I have had in a very long time.

A long hug.  It felt so good.  I adore these two little girls,
but being far away sometimes that feeling does not come
across to them on Skype.  I can't speak the language, but being
right next to them.  A whole different story.  You don't
need so many words to show love and to feel love.

Any misgivings I have about Norway just left.  These
two make it worth every second.  Of course we
love seeing everyone as well, but these faces.
How can you not just LOVE this?

Happy days are here and the weather could
not be any better.  Loving it right now. And we
did have our first hot dog as we landed.

Wishing everyone a great day.  Today we all get
together, and as a special treat we get to see Aleah
dance in the public square.  Lots of fun today.

Life is so much better when you're laughing...
