Wednesday June 9th ~

 The secret of your future
is hidden in your daily routines...

Sniff has his routines, another reason I love him so
much.  He keeps me consistent, and I know what he needs,
and when he needs it.  He loves to bask in the sun early in the
mornings before Arvid gets out of bed.  As soon as he hears
movement in the bedroom his basking in the sun is done.

He loves his dada, even though I am the one who
tends to all his needs.  He does love me as well 😻
Seaweed still everywhere around us.  Smelly!

Yesterday we were without water for some hours.
Arvid wanted us to go into San Juan, but I was
really not in the mood.  I was preoccupied with
Marbles and how she was doing after surgery.

Everything went well.  She stayed overnight and
I will also be keeping her overnight at the vets today.

Just to be safe.  All our kitties came home the same
day, but Marbles will be released in the wild again, so
better to be safe than sorry.  I missed her this morning.

Myself and another lady who live in our complex
are working together to spay and neuter Marbles
and MacGyver.  These two are the friendliest and the
only ones I can actually touch right now.

Eventually I will consider spaying and neutering
a few others on my own.  We have to start somewhere.
 Today I saw 2 new babies 💔😢 It's a vicious cycle.

A brand new day begins.  Arvid says he's not bored
as yet in Puerto Rico.  says he's not ready to leave nor
does he miss Fort Lauderdale as yet.  Sniff and I do.

I miss my home, at the same time I hate the thought
of leaving the kitties.  I am so torn.  If it were not for
the kitties I would push to go back home ASAP.

The above was at home in Fort Lauderdale.
We have a good life.  Won't complain, but I do
miss that feeling of home where we belong.

I long, as every human being,
to be at home wherever I find myself...

Sunday February 7th ~

 Sometimes what you’re looking for
comes when you’re not looking at all....

Sunday.  What can I say. Covid is getting to me
today a little too much today.  I miss my parents and sisters.
Imagine, Arvid has not seen his mother since the summer
of 2019.  For sure he has to get there this summer
Covid or no Covid. She is after all in her 90’s

Last night we had a friend over for drinks and
some nibbles.  Was very nice.  Lots of laughter and
good times. Even Sniff was happy to have company.

Last night I also made a batch of Cosmos.
Very good, but boy so very strong.  Lasted me
the entire night, and even so, at the end I had to
dump some of it.  maybe a little more today as
we relax?  Quiet Sunday Sound good already.

Today I plan to make dinner at home. No takeout😃.
Usually on a Sundays we do takeout, but Arvid and I feel
like having steak, and Arvid does not like when we do
it as takeout.  Steak, baked potatoes, Béarnaise sauce
and a little salad. I’m already anticipating my meal,
but not the clean up.  Goes with the territory

Not much happening here.  Soccer today ⚽
Some cleaning up after last nights visit.  It’s a taking
it easy kind of Sunday. Just like last Sunday ðŸ¤« Time
to chill on this beautiful day.  Happy day to all.

Take time to be quiet...

Monday May 18th ~ REOPENING TODAY!

Today is not just another day.  It's a new opportunity,
another chance.  A new beginning.  Embrace it...

We are open and ready for business.  That
is South Florida, Fort Lauderdale and Miami,
the last 2 counties that were left to reopen.

Happy, happy, but as of right now Arvid and I won't
be doing anything any differently.  We will still self isolate
at home 😒 Arvid say, "it's just being cautious."😕

I am ready to go places, explore again, but I know
it's not happening anytime right now.  Waiting
until Arvid feels more comfortable with it.

Monday.  I am so ready to see what happens next.

I am so happy and grateful for all the
 amazing opportunities coming my way...

Happy Friday ~

I’m convinced of this: Good done anywhere is
good done everywhere. For a change, start by
speaking to people rather than walking by them like
they’re stones that don’t matter. As long as you’re
breathing, it’s never too late to do some good...

Crispy colder Friday morning here in Fort Lauderdale.
I am enjoying the coolness in the air.  Of course it means no sitting
out again on the balcony.  Arvid is not fond of the cold.

I don't think I will ever stop missing having my
parents close by.  Many of our outings takes
us right by the house they used to live in.

Today most likely Arvid and I will be going to
Fort Myers to look at a car for a customer.  If all goes
well we will be driving home with a Corvette.

Last night we worked late.  We received a car around 8pm.
Both Arvid and I had to do some pushing and moving
cars around.  Was not bad to be out working.

The only thing Arvid was concerned about was
if we were going to make it back home in
time to watch his TV shows.  We did.

While he watched TV, Sniff wanted more
brushing, so he had a good 10 minutes of it.

Good day to all, and I hope this is the start of a great
weekend ahead.   Remember,  If you have only one
smile in you give it to the people you love.

Nothing will work unless you do...

New Week ~

Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience...

Sunday was peaceful and quiet.   We spent the day
enjoying scenic Norway.  I love the colors of nature combined
with the colors of the the houses in the horizon.

Here are a few of my favorites from the last few days:

I love taking pictures of the houses.  Set against
this stunning background that is scenic Norway.

Over the weekend we went to a car show.  Pretty nice cars there.

We also went to Lovoyea.  There we saw swans.
Fierce swans.  One tried to attack me.

Like any good summer day in Norway, we had rain.

Soon we would have been a week already in Norway.
I miss my little Sniff too much and can't wait to
see him soon.  For now it's time to make some
 more beautiful memories with everyone.

Beauty is grace and confidence. I've learned
to accept and appreciate what nature gave me...

Friday Again ~

I've learned over and over that life
happens on its own terms, not mine...

The concert may hot have been that good, but we
still had a good time.  These two started the celebration at
our apartment, and then I of course drove us all to the concert.
Seems like I am always the designated driver.  That's
what happens when you don't drink I guess.

I woke up at 4am because I couldn't sleep, and also because
I wanted to be at the lab by 6am to get the bloodwork done.

I really have not been feeling that great lately.  I'm sure
it's because of all the tests and the different "stuff" going into
my body.  Hopefully soon this will be over for this year
and I will be back to feeling like my usual self.

I got to the lab a little before 6am.  Thinking I would be
one of the first, no such luck.  Almost 20 others thought the same.
The wait was no that long.  One hour and I was done.  After that
I headed to the hospital to Nuclear Medicine for my body scan.

Other than having to lay for an hour without moving all was OK.

After the body scan I had another
scan of my throat.  That was a little
more uncomfortable because
 I had to really hyperextend.

Now it's over, but just heard
 back from Nuclear Medicine
that I MAY have to repeat the
body scan tomorrow.

I'm a little fed up and tired
with these tests, but I know it's
something that has to be done.
  Hopefully only once a year.

Back home Sniff is asleep.
Arvid is out and about already.
I have the morning all to myself.
The way I feel  just want to go to
bed and lay there for the rest of
the day.  Yes, I do not feel that
great right now.

On the other hand it's Friday.  Not up to doing much
right now, but hopefully that will change in a few
hours.  It's getting cold again today and we expect
to see a lot of rain in the next couple of days.

Happy Friday all.  Enjoy the weekend and live life
to the fullest.  You never know what tomorrow
holds.  Truth is, I have no idea what will happen
between today and tomorrow either.  Life!!!

Write it in your heart that every day is the best
day in the year.  Things turn out best for people
who make the best of the way things turn out...

Saturday ~

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts...

Any day that includes a good cup of coffee is a good day.
Allergies have been a little better so very happy about that as well.

May your Saturday be one filled with positive vibes,
lots of laughter and always a reason to be grateful for.

Sniff Sniff.  Full of love and affection.  That face, impossible
to not love.  Yes we love our Sniff Sniff very much.

Everyday I remind myself that we can't reach for anything new
if our hands are still full of yesterdays "junk"/"sorrows"

My Brutus is always in my thoughts and in my heart.  I know I
love Sniff, but sometimes I do feel guilty because I know
that both Arvid and I are probably holding back.

I keep reminding Arvid and yes me that Sniff deserves all the love
we can give to him.  He's not Brutus.  He's our Sniff Sniff, and he is a
good, good kitty.  I hope one day I will be able to call him "my baby"
So far I just can't bring myself to do it.  You see Brutus was/is my baby.

It's been 2 and a half years now since our Brutus died, and 2 years
Shadow died.  Time makes that agonizing, gut wrenching pain more
bearable, but time has not erased a single memory of what I am missing.
Sniff has made life so much better today, and for that I am grateful.

I miss you.  I don't know what else there is to say...
