Tuesday August 12th~

Tuesday is a day to finish what's
left undone on Monday and prepare
 for what's coming on Wednesday...

A quiet day awaits us. Not always a bad thing. It "forces"
me to  do a few things I have been putting off for quite
some time.  Like ironing some of the clothes I have not
worn because of how wrinkled they are.  Ironing is
not a favorite thing, but it needs to be done.

Even Sniff looked at me and wondered what
on earth I was doing.  He's not used to see me
ironing.  As long as I can help it I usually
don't.  The dryer works just fine for me.

Mornings are busy here.  Especially for Sniff.  Squirrel
shows up and eats everything in site.  This keeps Sniff
very occupied.  That combined with the birds.  After
they are done so is he.  The he goes back to bed.

Branson, Missouri, has a total of ten roller coasters,
with seven located at Silver Dollar City. Silver Dollar
City offers a variety of coaster experiences, including the
Time Traveler, the world's fastest, steepest, and tallest
spinning coaster, according to Branson.com. Just
more fun activities happening in Branson.

Wishing everyone a good day.  Furry friends have
been fed and everyone is happy right now.

Tuesday is the day to focus on what's
ahead and not what's behind...

Friday July 18th~

 Life becomes more meaningful when
you realize the simple fact that you’ll
never get the same moment twice...

Yesterday I did a few errands in preparation to going
back to Branson.  I made a trip to Whole Foods Market.
It is there that I always find my favorite summer fruit, Longan.
These are super sweet and the season is only between July
and August.  I always miss it because we are never in
Florida at that time.  So happy we are right now.

I also went to Trader Joe's for Arvid's bread.
Suddenly he does not want to eat the bread we have
in Branson, which he used to like.  I bought everything
they had on the shelf.  All eight loaves of bread.
Eventually we will be going to St. Louis for a
concert and there we have a Trader Joe's

Arvid and I went for a final inspection to the
house. Everything looked really good and as we
were leaving  he said to me, “ I sure don’t feel
like this is our house.  It feels more like your
mom and dad’s.”  It feels so cold without them

I agreed because for the two months they
stayed there they made it feel warm and cozy.
They made it feel like home.  I hope one day they
will be back and make it home again.

After finishing up with the house we went to the
Boat House. We both looked at each other and said,
"we should have been here with Michelle and family."

Nothing fancy. Casual and relaxing. I had the chicken
wings and fries.  Arvid had the Cuban sandwich.
I also had a passion fruit mojito. So delicious!

We sort of finished up very fast because the
skies were dark and it looked like rain. Heavy rain.
We got home just in the nick of time;  just before the
torrential rain, lightning and thunderstorm came.

The thunder and lighting were horrendous.
Poor Sniff every time he came out; the thunder
scared him back into hiding.  It’s Friday. Today is
Music-walk and though we would really love
to go, it all depends on the weather.  It goes
without say, it is also super hot right now.

The trick is to enjoy life. Don’t wish away
days waiting for better ones ahead...

Saturday July 5th~

Experience is a hard teacher because she
gives the test first, the lesson afterward...

I don't know much about soccer, but I did "know"
of Diogo Jota, one of Liverpool's star players.
I usually watch the games with Arvid.

He is a Liverpool fan and was a Diogo Jota fan as
well.  So when I heard the news of his death a couple
of days ago, I hit me hard.  Then I read more about
him, his wife of less than 3 weeks and their 3 little
kids, it was as if someone I knew had just died.

My heart mourns for this loss.  Diogo Jota
and his brother both died in a car crash in Spain.
Parents just lost their only children.  Three kids
their father and a woman the man she loves.

It rained so much yesterday, but the worst is the
lightning.  I decided that we would skip the downtown
outing and just stay home and watch a movie and a
few fireworks from home.  Arvid was good with that.
Sniff too.  Of course after we decided to stay in,
there was no more rain.  It became the perfect
evening, but we were already cozy with Sniff so
no downtown last night.  Still was a good time.

I, like many have known grief first hand. The
reality of it, is that you will grieve forever. You will
not 'get over' the loss of a loved one; you will learn
to live with it and with time it becomes bearable.
For some reason I feel this loss of Diogo Jota.

A little running around today, but most of the day
is looking pretty open.  So far no rain as yet.  A good
day to all. And may you always live in interesting times.

Do not let what you cannot do
interfere with what you can do...

September 1st ~ Start of a New Month

Life is like a coin. You can spend it any way
you wish, but you only spend it once...

Like all good things my time in NC is soon
coming to an end.  I have had a very relaxing time
with mom and dad, with my sister Mala and I was
even lucky to get to see our nephew Sachin.  Yes, I
am happy and grateful for these last few days.

Looking forward to seeing my  little Sniff, and to
having the next few days to do whatever it is I want.
Pretty soon it will be back to a "schedule"  For now
I will continue to enjoy these "unstructured" days.

I have had a very relaxing and peaceful time.

To all a very good day.  Looking forward
to seeing my Snifter and being home again.

Never let the fear of striking out
keep you from playing the game...

Monday February 26th~

Stop being afraid of what could go wrong,
and start being excited about what could go right...

Starting the new week feeling much better.  I am still
about 50% hoarse, but as far as I am concerned, much better
than 100% hoarse 😂  I have some of my voice again.  Yay!
Can finally talk to my mom and sisters again.  It's been
sixteen days now, to to get back to "normal"

Not much planned for the day just to take it easy and feel better.
Knowing Arvid he won't be able to sit still for too long.

Wishing everyone a productive and happy week ahead.
We begin the new week on a chilly note, at least for Floridians it's chilly.

Yesterday was a good day for Arvid.  His favorite soccer team,
Liverpool won the Carabao Cup.  Liverpool hopes to win a few more
cups before the season is over.  Would sure make Arvid's day.

You have to be where you
are to get where you need to go...

Monday September 18th ~

Don't let what you cannot do
interfere with what you can do...

A new week upon us, and many things are happening.
Some good and of course some not so good.  Just deal with
it and keep moving forward and give it your best shot.

We have had a busy few weeks and it continues,
but there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and we are
seeing a glimmer of it.  Hope you also find your light at the end
of your tunnel.  A good week to all and may everything you
do take you closer to accomplishing your goals/dreams.

The weather is changing.  You can feel it in the air.
Just the other morning we had heavy fog while the sun
tried to make its presence felt.  Was a pretty morning.

When the week begins, think of how you will end it...
