Hello Thursday...

When you are working and staying busy you

 don't have time to be depressed and sad...

Here at Almost Home we are still full.  The calls keep coming in,

 and the nice thing about it is that some of the tenants who left due to family 

emergencies, job change or some other reason have been calling me back. 

 They say they would like to come back and live at Almost Home. 

I believe both Arvid and I have made a change in their lives. 

 Not to toot our own horn, but we hear it from the tenants and from 

others.  Everyone has told us that since we took over 

the 2 hotels the change has been one for the better. 

 We have been told that never before has it run this smoothly

 and efficiently.  We are happy to hear this because honestly 

this is or was a BRAND NEW venture for us. 

We now have the hang of it, but even so, there is always so

 much to learn.  When you think you have seen everything.. 

you're proved wrong and once again you start over.

Can you believe that Arvid and I have been talking about how bored

 we will be the day we do move back to Florida.  We love to be busy and

 boy here in Branson we ARE.  Yup!  We are a little concerned that we will be 

very bored when we do move back home.  Right now a little "boredom" can be OK.

 Beautiful warm days are here.  Almost Home soon is ready to open the pool.  

Everyone including myself is excited.  It sure is looking good.  The days

 are going by fast.  We have already been in Missouri for 6 months.

Sniff is loving his home.  His "friends" and everything surrounding him.

He's a happy boy and he makes our lives better.  I miss Brutus and I think so much at 

times of Shadow and sometimes the tears come freely.  It's better, but I won't lie,

it is definitely not the same without Brutus.  I miss him.

To all a very good day.  Just because we have some not so 

good days does not mean that we have a bad life.  It is what it is. 

 Life is not always a bed of roses, even so I am always grateful.

Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations...

Start Of A New Week...

We are so busy watching out for what is ahead of us 

that we don't take time to enjoy where we are...

Temperatures here in Missouri can drop anywhere from 30 to 40 degrees in a day.

Just 2 days ago we had a high in the mid 80's now we are seeing the 40's and

 to top it all off rain.  Looked like wet snow at some point yesterday.

Going up the driveway is treacherous in this weather.  Very slippery.  I still have 

not gotten the courage to drive my car all the way into the garage.  I am

 afraid of the steepness.  When the weather is really bad, like hail and tornadoes,

 Arvid drives it into the garage.  Has been often these last few weeks.

I can't believe the weekend is already over.  Monday already and 

time to start it all over again.  I am refreshed and ready for 

the new week.  Lots to do today and that is always good.

To all a good start of the week ahead.

Busy Times...

You may delay, but time will not.  All we have to decide

is what we have to do with the time that is given to us..

Time is flying. Not sure how time has gone by so fast.  My guess is that when one is 

busy time sure flies.  Yes we have been busy. Our days are packed and we are loving it.

 Some days I am so tired that as soon as my head touches the pillow I fall right 

asleep.  It's been a long time since that has happened.  It's been a long 

time since I have been able to sleep most of the night.  I like it.  

Just last night Arvid was telling me how he has never felt better nor stronger . 

 The man is something else.  For him being busy is just the way our life should be.

 Arvid does not know when to take a rest.  Sometimes he wears me out more 

than any "work" can, can't let him know how much I like it.

We have been experiencing very mild weather. The other day we had a

 tornado watch which turned out not to be anything serious in our side of town.

  We did have some pretty serious hail rain, but nothing damaging by us.  

Everyday we learn something new.  We experience something different and 

though  Branson is a far cry from what our life in Florida was, we are finding it

 to be extremely rewarding.  Yes, there are days when we do get extremely 

exhausted, but the end result is always worth it.  You know the saying, when 

you do what you love it's not considered work.  For us it's just another exciting

 challenge.  One we are loving and enjoying every moment of.
