Chicago Bound ~

I adore Chicago.  It's the pulse of America...

It's been almost two years since we were last in Chicago.  It's 

been that long that we have been hotel owners.  Unfortunately, it did 

not leave much time for anything else.  That changes today.  We are 

on our way to our favorite city in the whole wide world.  Chicago.  I have 

missed everything about Chicago.  Except January and February.

It's the first leg of our trip to Norway.  All Arvid has been talking

 about for months on end is Chicago.  Finally we will be there.  Who 

knows tonight we may go to one of the Blues Clubs.  Have to have our fill 

of music and good living before we leave the USA and head to Norway.

For the next couple of days we will be enjoying all this city has to offer.

After that we are Norway bound.  Looking forward to Norway, 

but nowhere beats the USA as far as I am concerned.

Chicago is a wonderful, vibrant city with wonderful 

food cultures to it, wonderful talent downtown.

I just love this city.  Best place in the summer...

Early In The Morning ~

I woke up early, there was no worm.
Early morning cheerfulness can be extremely obnoxious...

They say the early bird catches the worm.  Sniff and I are

very early today.  Was having a difficult times sleeping, so why not get up?

  Brush Sniff and enjoy my cafe.  Very quiet and peaceful.  Who knows

 maybe I may eventually go back to bed and sleep as soundly as Arvid.

I also enjoyed cafe with my Brutus and Shadow.  They are
always with me.  Sniff's morning routine has been interrupted and
 now he's starting to get antsy.  Think I should soon head back
 to bed and try to get a few hours sleep before I actually
have to wake up again and go to work.

I really enjoy "going to work"  The last few days I have been
coming home and making lunch.  Then I do not go back to the hotel
  Strange thing is that  I feel restless.  I am kinda "lost" even though
 there are quite a few things I do while at home "relaxing"

Leave yo all with an interesting fact I picked up while we were
watching a Netflix show in Mexico.  Even I was a non believer,
so of course I went to Google for my facts and here it is:

At roughly 1,150 miles, the total shoreline of the 
Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri is longer than  the coastline of California. Lake of the Ozarks covers 
overs 61,000 acres and contains 617 billion 
gallons of fresh water, what the city 
of St. Louis typically uses over a decade.

This world is but a canvas to our imagination...

Road Trip ~

Never go on trips with anyone you do not love...

Back to the Sunshine State we go.  Looking forward to a few days 

with family and friends combined with a little work as always.

Soon will be checking out the boats again from our balcony.  Nice little change.

Sniff is home, but well cared for by Tiffany.  I am going to miss

 that little face and his very loud meows always making sure we know what

 he needs and when.  One very voiceful kitty.  I love our Sniff Sniff.

New Day ~

Monday is the perfect day to correct last week's mistakes...

After a fairly exhausting work week, we have managed to have some relax

 time over the weekend.  Feeling refreshed and almost ready to face the 

new week ahead.  Sniff as always is constantly refreshed.  He does

 get lots of cat naps so life for him is fairly easy going.

Arvid and I went to one of our favorite spots on Saturday.  Enjoyed the

 ambiance and a little nibble.  Always makes me happy and makes the weekend 

even more special to just getaway and see something different.

Yesterday was rainy and a bit on the cold side.  Even though the

 temperatures were not that low it felt cold to me.  Neither Arvid nor I felt 

like going out to dinner so we stayed in.  Had a home cooked mean and did

 some paperwork. Was good to spend most of the day at home with Sniff.

Fall is beautiful and I am witnessing here in Branson.  Fall in Vermont is 

stunning as per this picture my sister sent over the weekend.
