Thursday April 9th ~DONE

The good old days were never that good, believe me.
The good new days are today, and better days are coming
tomorrow. Our greatest songs are still unsung...

Today my parents celebrate 58 years of marriage.A huge
accomplishment in today's world I might add.  Like many,
life has not been that easy for them.  They have had struggle
after struggle, together they faced adversity and overcome it.
Together they made a life  and the rest as we know it history.

The above picture was take April 9th 1962 in Guyana.
The day mom and dad said their 'I do's"  Best day ever.

It's been quite some time since Arvid and I have
been to the Swap Shop.  It's been quite sometime anyone
has been anywhere really.  The Swap Shop is where I
get my fresh tropical fruit and vegetables.  Hoping
this situation gets better fast for all of us.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy day.
As you wait for better days, don't forget to
enjoy today, in case they've already started.

Every situation in life is temporary so, when life
is good, make sure you enjoy and receive it fully. And
when life isn't so good, remember that I will not
last forever and better days are on the way...

Pensive ~

Be a good person, but don't waste time to prove it...

Having one of those days where a lot comes to mind
in random moments.  I have thought about the people in my
life and the ones who once were.  Life, you never know what
will happen and who is really true or fake.  It is just
something you find out in everyday life.

The other day, out of the blues  Arvid said to me, "did you
thank Nirvana for buying me those chocolates?"  You see
a while back my sister was visiting and we were out
shopping and I just happened to mention that
Arvid likes these particular chocolates.

Next thing you know she has bought them for him.
He was not able to thank her because after that
she was soon on her way to the airport.

Arvid said he's not used to anyone buying anything for him.
I said, "then you don't know my family too well."

When Rima visited us in Chicago, she also did something
we're not used to.  Being taking out to dinner.  Was very nice.

In life many people are not really what they appear to be.
The nicest of persons sometimes can be the fakest of all.

I always choose to see the good in people.
Sometimes very difficult, but I know that there is
more good in this world than bad.  Someone said
that when you choose to see the good in others,
you end up finding the good in yourself.

To know people really, you must catch them in
their very unhappy times! If they treat you well,
then you can be sure that they are good people...

Special Moments In Life ~

Some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers...

About last night.  As always it's fun to go to the Hockey game.
Always gives us an opportunity to also go to Sawgrass Mall,
and to a favorite restaurant of ours. Simple, but we love it.

Not sure it's because of the food or the fact that they
carry Kirin draft beer.  A favorite of Arvid's.

Yesterday I was looking through some pictures.  Arvid and
I have done quite a lot of different things.  Above is when we
went to London for a Trade Expo.  We were promoting our
own real estate in Fort Lauderdale and in the Bahamas.

Yesterday was good.  Was freezing cold at the hockey arena.
Not something Arvid and I was too crazy about.  Doctors again
today, so yeah all is well and life continues to do what it does best.

We live it and we make the best of it by always giving
our most positive attitude to any and everything
that gets thrown to us.  Happy Wednesday all.

Life brings simple pleasures to us everyday.
It's up to us to make them wonderful...

Hello Sunday ~

You will never be happy if you continue to search for
what happiness consists of. You will never live if
you are looking for the meaning of life...

As we were driving to Miami yesterday to meet J and Alexandra,
Arvid said to me, "looking forward to seeing our nephew."  I smiled
for a very long time, and thinking about it I'm still smiling.

Arvid gets along with all my family and with the nieces and nephews.
I am so happy he has taken an interest in J.  Especially now that
they live so close to us.  J and Alexandra are easy and down
to earth people.  No pretense and no supercial anything there.
Looking forward to V and M meeting J and A.

J took us to a Mexican restaurant.  He said he wanted to take
us there because he and Alexandra really like it.  I love that
boy and I'm so happy he's just a half hour away from us.

Max also lives in Florida (Naples), but he's a little further
from us, but I am happy for that as well because now
we can see both of my nephews every so often.

After lunch with J and Alexandra, Arvid and I did a little
touring of our own.  We had a very nice time at the Wynwood Walls.

Though we live here in Florida it's our first time there.
Everyone who visits have been there.  My sisters and my nieces
and nephews have been there.  Guess it's our turn now.

Wynwood Walls is an outdoor museum of international street art.
Free to all.  Pretty much one of the coolest sights we have seen
in a while.  We even had the pleasure of seeing one of the street
artists at work.  Incredible talent all over the place.  Of course
it was "obligatory" to take the picture with the wings.

I am really enjoying being back in Florida.  We have been going out of
our "comfort zone" and trying new things and going to more places.
Hope it continues because I am loving it.  Make life interesting.

Back in Branson I have heard from some of my friends/former tenants.
There was snow today, and it's very cold.  I'm really happy to be
in the warm climate.  I miss everyone, but I do not miss the cold.

Here in Fort Lauderdale even on a so called "cold" winter
day it's typically warmer than most summer days in Norway.

Sunday here again.  Lots of soccer in store for Arvid.  Today we
plan on taking on the Boardwalk.  That is the Hollywood
Boardwalk.  Long time ago before I met Arvid I lived
close to the Hollywood Boardwalk.  I loved it.

To all a happy Sunday.  For many it's a three day weekend.
Enjoy and keep making memories.  Life is to be lived to the
fullest.  Remember, very little is needed to make a happy
life; it is all within ourselves, in our way of thinking.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens,
but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not
see the one that has been opened for us.  There is
more to life than increasing its speed...
