Sunday ~

Each person deserves a day away in which no
problems are confronted, no solutions searched for.
Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares
which will not withdraw from us...

Each day after breakfast we end up on the balcony
with out tea/coffee.  Today is no different.  Always
something to see.  Today we saw "older" cars.
Maybe a car show we know nothing about.
Was fun to watch them drive by.

The Tiki party boat passed us, and of course Arvid counted
how many were in it.  As he said, "more than should be."
It was just a girls time out.  Girls having a good time.

Yesterday we saw this guy floating in the water.
Everyone that passed tried to help him.  We even heard
screams of "dial 911."  When people tried to get him out of the
water, the man cursed them out.  Eventually the cop showed
up, but by then the man took off.  Never a dull moment.

There was also a social distancing party on the
water, and we were right there to see it all.  While Arvid
counted people I took pictures.  Both of us happy.

Sundays are very relaxing.  The phones do not ring as much.
We just relax a little more compared to the rest of the week.

To all a happy day.  Looking forward to the day
we will be having our Sunday outings again.

There is virtue in work and there is virtue
in rest.  Use both and overlook neither 😍...

Monday May 4th ~

Beautiful thoughts build a beautiful soul...

Yesterday was takeout day and cruising around time.
The little things we look forward to these days, and yes
it made us very happy.  At the same time, I can't wait to
go to a restaurant, sit down and actually order a meal
and eat it there.  The things we took for granted 😮

As we were sitting watching the boats pass by, what
should pass but Michelle.  Michelle is the name of Arvid's
youngest daughter.  The mother of our 2 grand-daughters.

Yesterday's flashback took me back to my high school
graduation. That year our class took a cruise, and one of the
stops was Curacao.  Beautiful place and friendly people.

A new week begins.  We are getting closer and closer
to the day when life will have a little semblance of
"normal" again.  In the meantime we still practice
social distancing and we are staying home.

Arvid and Sniff continue to watch more TV than
I ever can.  Well Arvid does, Sniff just likes to sleep
between Arvid's legs.  Two happy boys at home.

Be kind.  Work hard.  Stay humble.  Smile often.
Keep honest.  Stay loyal.  Travel when possible.  Never
stop learning.  Be thankful always, and love...

Happy Friday...

You don't always need a plan.  Sometimes you just need to
breathe, trust, let go, and just see what happens...

Friday.  What shall we do today?  So much has changed since Brutus died. We have
been staying in more than we have been going out on a Friday night. Life changes in a blink
of an eye and so does a person.  What used to be so important suddenly seems so frivolous.
Truth is I really don't care to go anywhere that much.  I feel good being home as well.

Home with Arvid and Sniffer.  A very good feeling; one that has been missing
for so very long.  Like I have said before, Sniff Sniff brings out a peaceful feeling in me.

Yesterday we went to the Swap Shop.  More like to the fruit market at the Swap Shop.

I stocked up on all of my favorite fruit.  Then Arvid and I went to the Norwegian
store where we also got a few things for Arvid.  Both of us ended up happy.

Yesterday was a weird day as far as the weather goes.  Dark.  Gloomy.  Sunshine.
We had an errand that took us to West Palm Beach.  The weather was not the greatest, but
at least it was not raining.  On on way back home we were hit with a torrential of rain,
thunder and lightening.  Took us forever to get home.  Arvid was driving and the
visibility was almost zero.  Pretty stressful drive, but of course we made it
home and Sniffer greeted us.  Suddenly all was good again.

Friday.  The weekend has started.  I have promised Arvid to treat him to lunch today.
Hopefully there will be no rain and we can sit out somewhere by the water
and just watch the boats go by and enjoy some quality time together.

To all a Happy Friday and a good start of the weekend.

Happy Friday everyone.  Forget all the bad things
you've encountered this week and have a great weekend...

Song To Brutus...

I miss you as soon as I wake up.
I miss you when I am about to sleep.  I wish you were here next to me...

Arvid wrote this song for me about Brutus.  What else is there to say?

Our days are OK.  Nothing a few Coronas won't cure as Arvid says.
For me it takes a little more than that, but there is always something good in each day.

Brutus took my heart with him.
I'm missing him and only time will heal the pain I feel.

I keep myself busy with things to do,
but everytime I pause, I still think of you...
