Pretty Sights ~

New week.  New vibes.  New goals...

Branson.  Captured in all different lighting.  Like I always say, no
 matter where you are there is beauty to be found.  You just have to look.

As the new week begins, we look forward to beautiful days.  Very chilly start
in the mornings, but as mentioned before it sure warms up nicely.

The wheel is always a favorite and no matter from what angle or where, it is beautiful.
The fact that it came from Chicago also makes it more special to me.

Arvid is coming down with the cold.  last year he took the flu shot and never had
the cold.  Of course he is asking me how come it is he did not take the flu shot this year.
It's not like I did not remind him to do so several times.  says e will see if he can still take it.

Very quiet at both hotels.  Exactly how we like it, especially when we are also full.
The next few weeks Branson will be bombarded with visitors from all over
the world.  Checking out the lights.  One of the best Christmas displays
in the Nation.   From what I have read and heard, and seeing.

Let's get going and make this a great week.

Hot, Hot, Hot ~

Aw, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it...

Saturday morning.  Not as rushed as our weekdays are.  

A little leisurely breakfast and then time to head into "work" again.

Not bad at all.  Wishing you all a calm and peaceful day.

Fridays at Almost Home is always ice-cream time for some tenants,
compliments of yours truly.  On days as hot as these that we are having
 it is always refreshing with a sweet cold treat.  Any day actually
is a good day for a sweet treat as far as I'm concerned.

J lives in Boston.  He recently celebrated his 24th birthday with a weekend
 trip to NYC and sent his mama this picture.  Had to share because I'm
 proud of all my nieces and nephews and want them to know it.

Time to get busy here.  Sniff is doing good.  Arvid as
always busy, busy, but loving it.  He is a special breed.

Stuff...

There are three types of baseball players: those who make it happen,

 those who watch it happen and those who wonder what happens...

I'm not crazy about baseball.  Never have been.  Never will be.  I find the game

 very long and extremely boring.  Just my view, but that being said it is as my friend 

Liz said "The Great American Pastime."  I'm not a baseball fan, but this being a

 win for Chicago, I'm now a part-time fan.  At least for now.  GO CUBS!!!

The curse is dead: Cubs win first World Series since 1908.  Finally. The most epic drought

 in sports history is over, and the Cubs are world champions.  After 108 years of waiting, 

the Cubs won the 2016 World Series with a wild 8-7, 10-inning Game 7 victory over

 the Indians on Wednesday night at Progressive Field. History was made in Chicago.

That being said, I am VERY happy the the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.

Chicago is definitely my favorite city and it would have been awesome to be there 

right now and to witness the celebration that will be going on.  I saw it when 

The Blackhawks won and that city was all lights in the evenings.

If we were in Chicago right now I would be able to see all the celebration and festivities

 from our balcony.  Pity cause they do how how to throw a celebration party.

I woke up very early this morning as did Sniff.  I fed him, brushed him and then had my cafe.

The day has started with a good vibe and it most definitely will continue on this way.

As always we have to do our parts to make it a good day.  I plan on doing mine.

Arvid is already awake and doing what he likes to do best.  Sniff is now sitting next to

 him quietly.  Together they work in silence.  Strange, Brutus and Shadow also like

 the same spot where Sniff is right now.  Maybe they smell each other. 

Good morning everyone.  Hope you are having as fabulous day as The Chicago Cubs 

and their fans are.  Time to start working and to become productive. 

 Fresh day.  Fresh start.  Let's make it a good one.

Baseball is ninety percent mental and the other half is physical.

Don't run away from challenges.  Run over them.  Like the Cubs did...
