Days ~

The best things in life are the people we love,
the places we have been and the memories
we have made along the way...

Sniff has finally found his spot in the sunshine again.
Yes the sun finally came and Sniff was right there basking
in it. Where the sun goes, Sniff is never far behind.

A little drive along the beach is always a treat.

An afternoon walk also something we enjoy.

Ending the evening in the hot tub made for a very good day.

Walking we always pass by this cool rental building.
What I like about it is the hot tub.  Looking up we
can see the people enjoying it, smack in the
 middle of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

It's another very beautiful day here in Fort Lauderdale.
The sun is out and for a "winter" day it is just perfect.
The boats passing by will always keep us busy.

Life is good.  Sometimes we forget...

Hot Saturday ~

The thing with heat is, no matter how cold you
are, no matter how much you need warmth, it
always, eventually, becomes too much...

One of the best things about being here is Puerto Rico
is that we get to see Nirvan, my sister, and Kimsy, our niece.
Yesterday we saw them.  It was the first time Arvid and I,
Nirvana and Kimsy sat down to have a meal at a restaurant
since the pandemic.  It was good to sit and be served.

Kimsy is just adorable.  All the "kids" are, and I love them all
so much.  From the grand-kids to my nieces and nephews.
I am truly fortunate to have them in my life.  They all
make our lives better, brighter and happier.

Puerto Rico is HOT!  I am not used to this heat
and just being out for a short time makes us exhausted.
Sniff feels the same and he's not even out.

Sniff has found a spot all the way no top of the kitchen
cabinets.  He seems to be happy and relaxed there.
Little by little he's getting there.  Makes me happy.

No matter where we stay I clean and disinfect everything
from, dishes, linens, bathrooms, beds everything.  Have been
doing that, and it's a lot of work.  Having Sniff here also makes
it for more cleaning, but won't have it any other way.

Arvid and I have not done much scenic trips as of yet.
The island is "colorful" many of the places are fairly
rundown.  My guess is that after hurricane Maria, not
much has been done 😧.  At least not in the area we are,
hopefully one day it will change.  What sure does not
change are their beautiful beaches and that ocean.

The view we see as we drive up to the building we are staying in.
Wishing everyone a great day.  Island life runs at a different pace.

Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing...

Life ~

You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough...

Still have the flu like symptoms.  Not scared.
Not as yet.  Arvid and I are trying to not go out in
public too much.  At least as little as possible. And
we do wash our hands as much as possible.  I even got
us our own brush for scrubbing under our nail bed.

I did go to the store to stock up on cleaning supplies, and
to my surprise everything was almost gone from the shelves.
I also went to Whole Foods to stock up on bread for Arvid.
His main concern was that he would not have enough bread
for breakfast due to this virus.  Yes, you gotta love him.

I feel congested and it feels like my head will
split open at times. I do not think it’s the virus, but as
we were coming from the airport the other day
I sneezed in the taxi ride home. Mistake.

The taxi driver opened all the windows and drove
that car like he stole it.  The first time we got home
so fast from the airport.   Was happy for that.

Yes everyone is in a panic and I am terrified
to sneeze around people or to cough.  I guess
I would also freak out if I were them.

Being home is OK until it becomes a must. Then it
gets boring. All the things you think you can, and
should do are the same things you don’t want to do.
That’s how I feel.  If I don’t feel better in a few
days I will consider going to the doctor.

Too bad because now I can’t see Victoria, Michael
nor J. Afraid we might give them something.  Arvid
only gets the sniffles every so often and a sneeze here
and there.  I’m a little worse off but not crazy bad.

Arvid does not want to eat out. Says too many people
touching everything. I am cautious but maybe a little
more lenient towards going out.  You gotta your live.

All is good here.  Weather is looking great.  A few
morning sprinkles, but the rest of the day will be dry
and sunny.  Much better right now that PR, where
they are having lots of rain due to a tropical storm.

In this life we cannot do great things. We can
only do small things with great love.

You either live a life of love, or a life of fear.
The life of fear is the easiest one because you don’t risk
anything. You simply protect. The toughest one is the
life of love because you risk more. You give
all you’ve got. The choice is yours...

Puerto Rico March 6th ~

I choose you.  And I'll choose you over and over.
Without a pause, without a doubt, in a heart beat.
I'll keep choosing you.  Every single time...

And just like that it was 20 years together.

Looking forward to a lifetime together.
If I had to I would choose you all over again.

Hand in hand.  You and me.  Today.  Tomorrow.  Forever.

If I had a million reasons to leave you,
I would still look for one to stay.

Wishing everyone a happy day.  Island life is good for our souls.

Some things, the best things, do last forever.

And I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes,
in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality,
I’d find you and I’d choose you...
