Hello Friday~

When you accidentally pour too much alcohol into
your mixed drink and you have to tough it up
because momma didn't raise a quitter...

It seems that when you're at the beach surrounded by palm
trees everything tastes and looks better.  It may not necessarily be
true, but who cares because you're surrounded by ocean breezes,
blue skies and beautiful scenery any which way you look, it's a win-win.
At least one feels that way.  Definitely a relaxing time.

Makes me long for a few more of these days right now.
Good thing is that today I will be taking a few of my
tenants out for Happy Hour Margaritas and a

little something to nibble on.  Should be fun.

I'm not very knowledgeable about drinks, so when it comes to making choices I usually go by
how it looks and how it is presented.

I love colors.  As you can see
they do make a difference in the picture.

Life is interesting all the time.  The where
you are does not really matter.  Here in Branson
we have met a lot of very nice people.
We have made a lot of friends and though at times I
miss the palm trees and my walks at the beach,
I am loving every minute right now.

The fact that we can go to Florida when we like makes it
so much better as well.  We go.  Stay for a while and
then come back home.  Perfect set up for now.

A beautiful day has begun for us. The pool is up
and running.  Tenants are happy, we are happy.

Now time to start the day and yes, looking
forward to margaritas later today.  As one of our
tenants loves to say to me, "it don't get any better."

Happy start of the weekend all.  After all,
every once in a while a girl has to indulge herself.

Drinking wine with good food in good company is one of life's
most civilized pleasures.  Life is about being happy...

Hair Woes ~

Yes, yes I have curly hair,  No, I don't wish that it was straight...

Not exactly what happened, but my once frizzy and curly hair is now
"tame and lifeless."  There was a time I wanted my hair to be straighter than
it was, but then I was just a teen.  As I grew up I loved my frizzy and curly hair.

Today all of it is gone and I am not sure why.  Of course the weather in Branson
is one factor, but even in the summertime I have no curls.  Someone
mentioned it may have to do with the medicines I am not taking.

Yup it's been a few years now since I have been on thyroid medicines.
That is another factor probably in making my hair listless and straight.
Even when we were in Florida a few weeks ago and with the humidity
in the air,  my hair still did not get back to its original curly ways.

Just have to see what happens, but I am missing it.  I do like
the straight look, but I prefer the curly look.  So does Arvid.  He says,
"looks like your hair has no life.  It's all flat."  Never one to mince his words.

I like both, but I think I prefer curly.  More life and I like the
"wild" look as Arvid calls it.  I'm sure when we move back to Florida
for good one day the humidity will make it curly again.

I have had many a struggle trying to tame my hair.  Eventually I just
accepted it and that made life so much easier.  It has not always been easy
to control the frizz, but with practice everything gets easier.

No matter what kind of hair you have the trick is to love and accept it.
For your hair is your crowning glory.  Own it! Love it!  Enjoy it!

Life is too short to have boring hair.  Her messy hair is
an attribute to her stubborn spirit.  As she shakes it free,
she smiles knowing wild is her favorite color...

Peaceful Day ~

I believe in the person I want to become...

Today looks like the start of fall.  As I look out the window, the leaves
are falling, the sky is dark, and it just looks like a day where all one wants
to do is stay in, bundle up a cup of hot chocolate and a good book.
Who knows maybe that's what I will end up doing.

Sniff is already bundled up and napping on my desk.  He has chased
butterflies and a few other insects for the morning.  He is inside and the
"bugs" on the outside.  This little exercise has worn hi out.  At least for now.

Not feeling that great today.  Don't know the exact reason, but I'm
sure as the day goes on it will get better.  Arvid's mom is still in the hospital,
but not ICU.  She's doing much better and hopefully will be able to
return back to her home very soon.  Always hoping for the best.

Our Sunday is looking to be another very relaxing day.  As always soccer in the
morning for Arvid, and then a little this and a little that.  Makes for a good day.

Wishing everyone a quiet and peaceful day.

Wake up with the determination to go to bed with satisfaction...
