September 1st ~ Puerto Rico Times

New month.  New beginning.  New mindset. 
 New focus. New start.  New intentions.  New results..

Arvid, Sniff and I will be welcoming September in Puerto Rico.

A new adventure is about to begin for us and we are excited.

They say life begins at the end of your comfort zone,
 so find your comfort zone and demolish it.  Good morning
 and hello September.  Two of my favorite people are born
in September, and one lives right here in Puerto Rico.

Sniff has not found his "happy" spot as of yet 😭.
 He's scared of all the new noises😬.  He does
 not want to eat much, but maybe this is good. 
The vet said he could use losing some weight.

 It is HOT!  Very hot, Arvid and I have different
 ideas of how to get cooler, he does not like to have
 the A/C running.  says he aches with it. 

Well we have a problem, because there is no way
we can be in Puerto Rico and not have A/C.
 One thing that is good, the breeze on the
balcony makes it always a good day.

First day of a new month means that no matter 
where you've been, today you get to start again.  
Seize it.  Never allow waiting to become a habit...

Too Early For This ~

Whoever said that money can't buy happiness

 simply didn't know where to go shopping...

Yesterday was one of those days where a little shopping

 was called for.  Somehow it makes everything seem so much

 better, even when one does not actually buy anything.  

Lucky me, I actually did find something that caught my 

eye, and this was after almost two hours of intense looking.

I always say shopping is cheaper than a psychiatrist.

Sniff enjoyed sniffing my bag and at the same time

 checking out the commotion that was happening below us

 on the street level.  He is always looking and hearing 

everything.  Yesterday it was another fire truck.

I got out of bed at 1 A.M.  Why?  I have no idea.  

I have tried and tried to go back to sleep, but it's 

been 2 hours now and it's not working.  Sniff is 

sound asleep with his dada, as it should be.

Hoping to go back to bed and hopefully get some sleep.

Guess I went to sleep a little too early last night, now I pay

for it.  It's going to be another very long day if I don't manage 

to get some sleep.  For now it's goodnight everyone.

If you want to make your dreams come true,

 the first thing you have to do is wake up...

This City ~ Chicago

Because when you stop and look

 around, this life is pretty amazing...

There is not a single person that comes to Chicago 

and does not fall in love with the city.  At least my

 friends and family.  Especially in the summer.  This may

 definitely be one of the most beautiful cites I have

 ever been to, and I have been to quite a few.

Yesterday we had a great outing.  Started with a 

good meal.  Sometimes it's a hit or miss, but yesterday 

the steak was pretty good according to Arvid.  I choose to

 have crab cakes (at a steakhouse).  It was very delicious.

The contrast of the skyscrapers and the river is breathtaking.

Yesterday we found an outdoor place playing Island music.

  With the beautiful weather, a delicious rum punch and

 soothing music, it made for a great afternoon.

I love city life. As far as we are concerned, nothing compares to it.
