Sundays ~

A pineapple a day keeps the worries away.
Today's forecast: beach, with a chance of drinking...

I love my piña coladas and the ones at
Margaritaville are the absolute best.
Was worth the slight headache.

What started out as a very cold day
turned out to be absolutely beautiful.

Sundays are for relaxing, and who knows what follows.
Wishing everyone a day filled with wonder and all things good.
I'm a better person when I'm drinking pińa coladas.

Now I enjoy my cafe while it's quiet and peaceful here.

May all your days be filled with umbrella drinks.
Live in the sunshine. Swim in the sea. Drink the wild air...

Foggy Day In The City ~ Again

The things you're waiting and hoping for,
tend to arrive at the most unexpected moments...

I guess it's because we will soon be going to Norway.
I stress.  I think of Brutus and how difficult it always
was to leave him.  I never wanted to go away for so
long because I worried about Brutus and his paw.

In the picture above Wendy, his pet sitter at the
time tried giving him his pills.  Not always successful.
I guess I am thinking even more of Brutus because
am am having the blues right now.

Maybe it has to do with the weather.  It's cold,
foggy and wet just about everyday.  Also I am stressing
about being in Norway for so long.  I look forward to
seeing everyone, but I also don't want to leave Sniff
alone for so long.  This happens every single year.

Happy Wednesday to all.  I keep reminding myself that
if one waits for perfect conditions, we"ll never get anything done.

Never let a bad situation bring out
the worst in you. Be strong and choose to
be positive, no matter how hard it is...

Happy Days ~

Actually, it's moving along so well considering
all the work that had to be done.  Moving right along...

A new week begins and it couldn't start better.  Arvid is
back home with us.  We missed him very much.  Last Sunday
he left for Florida, driving my car back. Yup, now when I get
back before him, (maybe) I will have my car.  He was gone for
an entire week, but I was busy so time went by fast for me.

We were supposed to go together, but I did not want to leave
Sniff on his own.  Especially with people coming in and out of
the house.  Glad for that.  Plus I didn't feel like going.

Arvid said he loved being back in Fort Lauderdale, but the truth is
after 4 days he would call and tell me how he was ready to come
back home.  Yes, home is where your heart is.  Always.
Sniff and I are happy he's back.  We are complete.

With the selling of the house there is lots to do.  While Arvid
was gone I was dealing with different roofing companies, getting
estimates, and with our home owners insurance adjuster as well.
I think I have made quite a good deal on the roof. Happy!

Sniff is now more relaxed.  Finally his dada is back and he can
now rest and not have to wait by the door all day long.  Yes,
Sniff sat /slept by the door in hopes of Arvid coming home.

Who knows what the week holds, but one thing I know for
sure is that we will be seeing my parents by the weekend.
I have been waiting for this since for weeks now.

I am counting down the days until we get to North Carolina.
Happiness is knowing we are going to see you both soon.

It's been a long time coming, but we're
 almost there.  I'm happy...

Weekend Time ~

Hands up if you're ready to do something you'll regret this weekend.
It's Friday, time to go make stories for Monday.  Hello weekend...

Of all days to not have been feeling so great, it had to
be yesterday.  Bummer.  It was a gorgeous warm and sunny day,
but unfortunately I was indoors the entire time.  Woke up with all
the symptoms of the flu.  Did not go into  work nor did I get
to enjoy the warmth of a beautiful outdoor kind of day.

At some point of the day we were even warmer than Fort Lauderdale.
Arvid came back home yesterday all smiles and ready to go out.
As he said "anywhere you want we can go."  I was still not
feeling great so we ended up just staying in.

Sniff enjoys time in the sunshine.  He loves to stretch out and just
snooze in the light.  Arvid keeps telling him (Sniff), "one day you will be
moving to Florida and you will have a lot of sunshine as well.  Truth is,
in our home in Branson there is sunlight coming in from all windows.

I woke up early.  Fed Sniff and brushed him.  He fell asleep again.
Arvid as usual is still asleep.  He is not a morning person.  I love mornings.
Quiet and peaceful.  My thoughts carry me everywhere.

Today as I was brushing Sniff, memories of me brushing Brutus came to me.
Brutus loved brushing.  All I had to say was brushing and he would
run to the spot where brushing took place.  Sniff loves it as well,
but so far does not respond to the word, "brushing."  He will one day.
Shadow was just too little to even sit still for brushing.

Happy weekend to all, and for those celebrating St. Patrick's Day,
remember luck is believing you are lucky.  Enjoy the weekend.

May your troubles be less and your blessings be more,
and nothing but happiness comes through your door...

And So Begins A New day ~

I'm ready for flip-flop, warmer weather, sunshine,
blooming flowers, birds singing and green grass...

Another beautiful winter day for us here in Branson Missouri.
Granted not as warm as we use to have it back in Florida,
but definitely something I can live with.  As I always
mention, Arvid not a fan of the cold weather.

I woke up with a stuffy nose, a bad headache and aches
all over the body.  Hopefully not the flu again.  After all I did
have the flu shot earlier this year.  My first time ever.

Business all over in Branson are gearing up for Spring Break
which begins for some on Friday.  Families will be pouring into
town with their kids.  Believe it or not Branson has
a lot of activities geared for families.

Right now all the indoor water parks are ready and
some of the outdoor water slides also.  Still cold, but
kids somehow don't feel it when having fun.

Here at home and at the Almost Home all is good.  Season is
back up and running.  Tenants are back to working their
full shifts.  Everyone happy all around town.

Wishing everyone a great day and may you always live in
interesting times. Remember, sometimes in life we have to
choose between turning the page or closing the book.

The soul always knows what to do to heal itself.
The challenge is to silence the mind...

Music ~

Where words fail music speaks...

One thing we have really missed since leaving Florida is music.
Arvid and I used to go to different venues to listen to the Blues
just about every chance we had.  We travelled towards the music.

It was a good life and I know one day it will be ours again.
For now it was just great to go to a Blues Festival.  A few days
ago we went to The Seafood Music Festival at Mizner Park in
Boca Raton.  It was good to put on shorts and flip flops.

Together with a very good friend we spent an entire day out.
Good music, good food and good company.  That is life.

After the festival we visited one of our favorite restaurants on the
Intracoastal.  Was a first for our friend.  A good dinner and
a nice cruise along the beach made for a perfect day.
Somehow 8 hours did not seem that long.

We are having a good time.  Sniff is well cared for and all is good
at the hotels.  Tiffany and Chris have it all under control.  Never before
have we experienced so much "free" time since we have owned the hotels.
The best thing to have happened to us was Chris and Tiffany.  Because
of them we can now have time to do a few more "fun" stuff.

My life is good and it will keep getting better...
