Good Start Of The Day...

The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things...

As usual Brutus and I are awake before Arvid.  Brutus loves company so he just comes to the bed and looks at us, jumps over us and if that does not work starts meowing.  I know it's time for me to get up and keep him company.  It's either that or he will do anything and everything to make noise just to get us up.  Arvid is not a morning person.  I am.  Woke up to a beautiful sunrise.

From four balcony the ocean was very easy to spot today.  Brutus also insisted on me taking him out for a little balcony stroll.  You know that I can't refuse him anything.  

As he was enjoying the outdoors for a bit, I also had time to sit and enjoy my cafe while I watched the remaining of the sun rising.  Was peaceful and we both enjoyed it very much..

Afterward it was time for him to get back in.  He needed some food, his scratching pad, he also had to jump on the cutting board and sniff around his dada's Norwegian goodies.  After all of that was taken care of, Brutus decided it was time to get his dada up.  

So he just went to the bed and sat by his feet until Arvid had to give in.  

Yes it will be a good day for all of us..

Don't waste a minute not being happy. 

If one window closes, run to the next window- or break down a door...

Lucky Me...

Choosing to be positive and having a grateful attitude is going to determine how you're going to live your life...

Before you complain about life think of someone who died too early on this earth...

Just the other day I was  reflecting on our life and I realized how fortunate we are.

Yes, we may be going through a few difficult times, but I know others have it much worse. 

Occasionally I may get impatient that things do not progress as fast as I would like, but then I slow down.

I look at Arvid and I see a man who is kind, generous, loving, dependable and funny.  I see the man i fell in love with and I know that everything is going to be all right.

I see the patience he has with Brutus and I know that things are right.  I know that no matter what Arvid and I will always be there for each other and for Brutus.

Even with pain and unable to bend, Arvid finds it in him to give Brutus his treats every night and to sing for him.  Sometimes I see how much he hurts, but he insists that he wants to do it. 

Both he and Brutus love this nightly routine and I love them both even more when I see it.

I go to bed happy every night and with a smile because right before turning off the lights I see the two of them together.  Life is good and together we are happy. 

 Remember, "Each day is a gift, not a given right."

Be grateful for the home you have, knowing that at this moment, all you have is all you need..

Never let the things you want, make you forget the things you have. If you are truly rich, count the number things that you have that money can't buy...
