Wednesday May 24th ~

It doesn't matter what's been written in your story so far,
it's how you fill up the rest of the pages that counts...

Wednesday again.  Halfway through the week and little by
little we are starting to see the results of Arvid's hard work.
I just know that he will soon need to start a new "project" just
to stay busy.  For a man his age, Arvid does not know what the
word slow down means, and I don't say this in a bad way.  It's
just that sometimes it's nice to want to relax and take it easy.

May is about over.  Good riddance.  Once June begins our time to go to
Norway gets closer and closer.  I look forward to it.  I would love to give
Victoria and Michael a big hug and to make them feel better.  If I can.
We look forward to seeing and enjoying good times with everyone.

I do stress about leaving Sniff for so long, but I know he
is well cared for.  Peace of mind is always good.  He's my baby.

He cheers me up and makes me laugh when I am down.
Together with Arvid I am fortunate.  I don't know what I would
do if something happened to Sniff.  Brutus' death shattered me.
Shadow's devastated us.  I want our Sniff with us FOREVER!!!

It's back to a few doctors appointments again.  I just don't
understand it, but ever since getting to Branson I have not been
feeling good.  I need to go back home soon.  I want to have all my doctors
in one place, at least until I know what is really going on with me.

As the new day begins we "forget" that what we
take for granted, someone else is praying for.  Somewhere out
there, there is a sadness and an anger that haunts many
until hopefully one day it becomes bearable.

Never apologize for doing what you have to do in
order to maintain your happiness and peace.  In
your life you need to come second to none...

Saturday December 17th ~

Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn...

December is more than halfway done.  Unbelievable how
fast this year has gone by.  Many things have happened this year.
Of course many good and many not so good.  It's life.

Whether you're sitting on the beach, hiking in the mountains,
or even relaxing in a rocking chair on your own front porch, watching
a breathtaking sunset never gets old.  Each day ends with a unique sunset
that is unlike any that has come before or will come after. Sunsets no matter
where you live are breathtaking, with a promise of a better day to come.

We try to walk a few times during the week.  Usually
there are no kitties around, but the other day we made a new
friend.  He's super friendly and I hope to see him again.

My friend Sharon is back in Fajardo and she has already seen
MacGyver and Shygirl.  There was no Marbles around and she
always is with MacGyver.  I am so happy about MacGyver and Shygirl,
but my heart breaks for the others.  Marbles is no longer around 😒

I just can't get the memory of my PR kitties out of my πŸ’”There
are days I think of them forever and it still hurts.  I loved Marbles.
Heck I love them all, but Marbles and MacGyver they were
siblings and always together.  She loved shredded chicken πŸ’”

My heart is hurting.  It just can't seem to catch a break.
Arvid keeps telling myself day after day, "you cannot get
involved so deeply all the time.  You cannot save the world."

My Sniff is always there to make me feel better.  I just love him.
Currently 61 degrees Fahrenheit or 16 Celsius.  I think the ⛄
temperature is perfect right now.  Nice cool crisp in the air.

My sister, the baker in our family.  Check her out @Narima's Homemade
A good day to all Christmas is right around the corner  Be happy and jolly.
Yesterday was all about the rain.  Today looks much, much better.

Friday June 24th ~

Rise up and attack the day with enthusiasm...

The easiest way to make the most of your Friday is
putting your best foot forward the second you roll
out of bed in the morning.  Sounds easy enough πŸ˜‚

Another very relaxing day.  Almost Home was very
quiet yesterday.  Pookie was happy as always to see me
and Pookie's mama was happy we took her KFC for lunch.
Overall a good day.  With so much extra time on our
hands, I just don't know what to do anymore.

Every Friday, I like to high five myself for getting
through another week on little more than caffeine,
willpower, and inappropriate humor πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Friday is my second favorite F word. Food is my first...

Monday September 6th ~ Hello New Week

There is no greater agony than
bearing an untold story inside you...

A new week begins.  What it holds I don't
know as yet, but can only hope it's good things
all day, all week long.  We can all use good.

Sniff is all ready for the week ahead.
Arvid is still in bed.  It's quiet and peaceful right
now.  In a few minutes it will get busy.

The above are some pictures from yesterday.  We went
to a beach with black sand.  To all a good week ahead.
May we all accomplish some of what we set out to do.

We may encounter many defeats
but we must not be defeated...

Thursday May 13th ~

Don't be afraid to share your story.  It could be
the key that unlocks someone else's prison...

My second vaccine was on May 6th.  On May 9th
I started to have lots of aches.  I don't know why, but hope
it's because of the vaccine, a side effect or something,
but come Monday May 10th I was in a lot of pain.

My left arm hurt like hell.  Not the usual pain, intense.
Intramuscular  It's the arm I had both vaccine shots on.
From my shoulders and up the pain has been consistent,
and worse from the middle of the day on.  Tylenol helps
a little, but yesterday it felt as if I was just about to die.

My heart rate accelerated a million beats an hour.
Felt like that.  My head felt like it would explode any
minute, and when I stood up everything went black.  I
was dizzy as hell.  This lasted for a long time.  Scared
the living daylights out of me.  I don't handle pain well.

Right now all I feel is aches everywhere.  Should be
getting better any day now.  Still has not stopped me
from my walks, but I have to say I have been much
slower and out of breath. A lot out of breath πŸ˜•.

Kitties have to eat, and I sure love the morning walks.
Peaceful.  Just me, the kitties, the birds, sunrises and
sometimes someone else walking.  yesterday I met Stacey.

We have crossed paths many a times, but aside from good
morning we didn't have much conversations. She listens to
music as she walks.  I listen to the sounds around me.

Stacey is from Arizona and she and her husband decided to
move permanently to Puerto Rico after one visit.  She said
she has lived in many other Caribbean locations, but
when she came to PR she just knew this was it.

In my family all my sisters and spouses have been
vaccinated.  The only two left are Sachin who already has an
appointment and Lilly Vade who is just 13 years old.  Lilly
has an appointment for her first vaccine on Saturday.

Hopefully soon all the family in Norway will
also be vaccinated.  They say the vaccine works.
Let's just say I am vaccinated because it makes
everyone feel safer and more at ease.

I have nothing against the vaccine, and based on the
numbers of Covid cases daily, it looks like it's working
to slow down this pandemic, and that's what matters.
Soon life/restrictions should begin to taper off.

Good day to all.  Time is flying by.  Arvid and I
will be grandparents for the third time come November 2021.
We already have 2 granddaughters, and are hoping for a grandson,
but it does not matter boy or girl, he/she is already loved.

Sniff is my happy place. He makes everything better and I love him.

You may be tired and exhausted, but you
woke up today.  Someone else didn't...

Always On My Mind ~ DONE DECEMBER

If you ask me how many times you have crossed my
mind I would say once because you never really left...

I loved dressing Brutus up for all the different holidays.
He didn't like it much, but he was not always running
away.  he allowed me to fuss with him.  I miss him.

Sniff is an entirely different story.  He hates when
I fuss with him and before you know it he scoots away.
Sniff has his own holiday clothes, but I can't seem to ever
be able to get him into them.  He runs like the devil.

Shadow was not scared, but he was constantly on
the move.  It was always difficult to pin him down
long enough to get him into holiday clothes.  Even so,
I did manage to do it a few times.  He was so little.

So many memories Brutus.  I miss some days so
very much.  I love our Sniff with all my heart, but
you Brutus took a part of me with you.  You
don't cross my mind.  You live in it.

You are always in my thoughts even when I am not thinking.
My cat came out of nowhere and became my everything.

Friday August 21st ~

Don't think of introversion as something that
needs to be cured... Spend your free time the way you
like, not the way you think you're supposed to...

We finally went walking yesterday.  Though it was hot,
it still was not as hot as it usually is.  A nice wind made for
a good walk.  Our walk is scenic, but even so, there is garbage
scattered everywhere.  Be it on the ground or above ground.

Our mornings on the balcony suddenly became
even more interesting for me.  My little squirrel friend
reappeared.  He keeps me busy and entertained, jumping
from tree to tree.  Very acrobatic little dude.

Arvid was happy to report to me that everyone on this little
boat was wearing a mask.  COVID sure has taught us all in more
ways than one that it's the little things in life that really matter.

I get restless at some point everyday.  More like bored
and fed up with the situation we/everyone is living right
now.  I look forward to the day it will be better.

It's Friday and we will be staying home once again.
It's been over 5 months now that we have been isolating
at home.  It's getting tiring.  I need a change soon.  Just
like everyone else.  Hoping for that change to be here soon.
COVID cases are decreasing in Florida πŸ‘.  Still high, but
not as they used to be.  Better days are around the corner.

Hello Friday.  What do you have in store for us today.
Better make it good.  Don’t worry about the world coming
to an end today. It’s already tomorrow in Australia

New Day~ New Opportunities πŸ˜ƒ DONE

You don't have to be great to start, but you have to
start to be great.Smile in the mirror. Do that every morning
and you’ll start to see a big difference in your life...

Every morning is an adventure with Sniff.
He demands to be brushed, and at the same time
he fights it.  Then he calms down and will allow me
to continue his brushing.  If it were up to Sniff, he
won't mind being brushed all day long 🐈😹.

When Arvid finally gets out of bed, Sniff jumps
out of his bed in the living room and "talks" non stop.
He does not do this with me just Arvid.  At that 😻
😸time he also demands attention, and he gets it.

While I was away Sniff and Arvid bonded
very much 😻. As of right now, Arvid continues to
supervise which food Sniff gets and they are on that rigid
schedule.  The schedule is good because I fed Sniff
more than I should.  I know it's wrong😾😾.

The above was taken many years ago.  I worked at
Aventura Mall at Bloomingdales.  I loved it and I met lots
of interesting people.  Life has been and is good to me.

I have worked in many places.  All varied.  I have enjoyed
all of it, except when working at the lab at Kimberly Clark.

Yesterday we had another stunning sunset.  Though it
was extremely humid outside, when it comes to getting
a good picture i don't care.  It was well worth it 🌞☀️.

We still sit out on the balcony, but not for that long
periods anymore.  It is very hot and humid and after an
hour or so you get pretty soaked being out in the humidity.
Even so, it still remains one of our favorite outdoor spots.

Sniff is not fazed about anything.  He gets his brushing,
his loving and if it's not too windy, he gets a little
time on the balcony.  😸 He's a happy boy😻

Walks also continue to be part of our routines. Hello all.
Today is going to be a good day, so wake up and smile 😊.

The only secret behind a good day is a good attitude.
