Christmas In Puerto Rico ~

 I find that it’s the simple things that 
remind you of family around the holidays...

The main tree at Plaza Las Americas.  Plaza", as it is known

 to many Puerto Ricans, was the first indoor shopping mall 

built in Puerto Rico. It is the largest shopping mall in the 

Caribbean and the second largest in Latin America.

Plaza Las Americas features a centrally located water

 fountain, which was featured twice on teen pop rock 

group Menudo videos during the early 80s. 

As of 2018, a new fad among Puerto Ricans 

was to jump into this water fountain to get wet and 

record it, and post videos of the act on the internet.

Plaza's Macy's was the first one to open in the Caribbean.

Plaza's Chili's is the highest grossing in the world. It has 

the world's largest Romano's Macaroni Grill restaurant.

It houses the first Cheesecake Factory restaurant in 

the Caribbean, officially opened on August 28, 2013. 

Every two hours there is falling of snow.

Sports Authority became the sixth largest anchor store, 

first opened up in mid-2014, followed by an expansion of parking 

spaces. It closed in 2016 after the company declared bankruptcy 

and was replaced by a Marshalls in February 2018.

It's the happiest time of the year,  Covid or no Covid.

This year pile my gifts under a palm tree...

Monday Vibes ~Raining Again ☔

If all that we see are the scattered pieces of ‘what was,’

 the story of ‘what is yet to be’ will never be told.  If,

 however, we are able to envision the pieces as what 

they are now freed to be, the story of ‘what is yet to be’ 

will stand among the greatest ever told 😎...

A new norm is upon us.  Maybe people will now be

wearing masks for a very long time, and not just because 

they have to but because the feel much safer with it 🤷

Monday here, a brand new week upon us. 

 Let see what amazing things the week holds for us. 

 Can't wait to see all the changes taking place.  Beaches

 reopen tomorrow. Let the good times roll again 🙈

Here at home it has been raining since early
 yesterday morning.  The rain continues and seems
like it is also going to be raining all day today and most
of the week.  Hoping as always the forecast is wrong,
but for the last 2 weeks it has been spot on⛈☔.

When the internet came along, everybody said 

it would mean the death of television, newspapers. 

There is a dip, and it comes back to a new

 normal. We're in the dip; we're waiting

 to see what the new normal is...

Happy Vibes ~

There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy...

The new week began with a bang.  The weather is 

gorgeous and Arvid and I are really making the most of it.

One of our favorite things to do in the afternoons is going 

for little walks.  Relaxing and always intersting to see 

what's going on in our area.  Plus we get some exercise. 

 Win-Win any which way you look at it.

The entire downtown landscape are cranes and 

more cranes.  Construction is rampant and the skyline at 

times becomes pretty interesting.  Arvid loves to watch the

 cranes going up and down and we enjoy seeing all the progress 

being made on a daily basis.  And yes, no matter where

 you turn, everywhere is lined with palm trees.

Many of the boats are already decorated in preparation for the

 Winterfest Boat Parade which will be on the 14th of December.

Sniff and I have been awake since 4:45 am.  

Sniff ate, ran around a little and is now back in bed

 with his daddy.  Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able

 to sleep any more for now.  Long day awaits me,

 and we have lots going on.  Life!

There was a beautiful moon out this morning and

 I managed to capture it.  Always happy about that.

 The days are going by fast, so make the most of everyday and

 always remember to have some fun no matter what you do.
