Cold Chicago Days ~

It was one of those March days when the sun 

shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is 

summer in the light, and winter in the shade...

Arvid is as happy as can be.  Says he’s on vacation,

 even though we have been working continuously.

We did not realize there was still quite a lot to do to

make the apartment safe and ready for Sniff.

Before we leave it will all be ready for him.  

Still some things to do, but at least safe for him.

I love the city, but I don’t believe I am as excited 

about it anymore as Arvid is.  I prefer being 

in one location now.  Going away on

vacation every now and again is OK.

No denying it we have a beautiful apartment.

 The views are amazing be it day or night, but I rather
 be home with Sniff.  Home where I know where everything
 is.  Where I have my car and can take off whenever I
 want, and go wherever I like.  Chicago is beautiful,
and very cold right now; there is no denying that.

As a new day begins I have to say I am looking

forward to seeing what it holds.  Yes there is always

something going on and something to do.

I love being here and we are enjoying everything the
city has to offer.  I guess it’s not completely home

as yet because Sniff is missing.  Once he’s here with
 us it will be different.  I miss the little dude a lot.

Good morning all.  Wishing you all a great St. Patrick's
 day weekend.  One thing I know for sure, it is going to be a very
cold day here in Chicago. Yes, that's ice you see in the lake.



To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake 
it is necessary to stand out in the cold...

New Week Here ~

It's Monday, set the tone for this week with a good workout,

 and a healthy meal.  Your goals are met with small daily choices... 

Monday again.  March is zooming by us, and still so much

 to do. As the new week begins, I hope everyone is doing well 

and you are all set and ready to face the new day/week.

As always we had a very good Sunday. It was peaceful, relaxing,

 good food, and great ambiance.  Makes up for our our hectic days.

Sniff is a happy little dude.  Last night he made so much 

commotion in the bedroom, he woke Arvid up several times.  

Add to that he, was just running like crazy all over the place

 and across the bedroom.  Arvid was very worried Sniff would

 injure him.  I just slept even though Sniff was racing around us.

Good morning everyone.  Remember, anything's 

 possible if you've got enough nerve.

Finding your passion isn't about careers and 

money. It's about your authentic self .  The one 

you've buried beneath others needs...

Make Everyday Is A Good Day ~

Start each day with a grateful heart...

It's that time of the year again.  Spring Break!  

A week with no alarms, and no schedules for college kids.

Traffic will be heavier than usual for one.  Restaurants

 more crowded, and lots of petty, and at times bad behaviour

 will be taking place.  Even so, in the mist of all of this,

 it is always interesting to watch how people behave.

First Sunday in March.  Time is sure going by fast.  A little

 work today and then Arvid and I get to have a little quality time.

Last night we had a little outing along the River.  We then 

took the water taxi home.  Pretty cool if I myself may say so.

Living downtown has its perks.  We usually walk to our favorite

 places, and then we take the water taxi back home.

Jekyll Island ~

Some winter wonderlands are covered in sand...

Jekyll Island is located off the coast of the U.S. state

 of Georgia. It is one of the Sea Islands and one of the Golden Isles

 of Georgia barrier islands. The last time Arvid and I were here

 was in 2016.  Arvid has a trade meeting, and this is one 

of my favorite destinations. Happy to be going back.

I will have the days to wander around, and the evenings to be 

with Arvid and the trade gang.  Could not be any better than this.

  One of my favorite places to go is Driftwood Beach.

It's quiet.  It's peaceful.  I listen to the wave and the birds.

I love taking pictures, so any and everything makes for the perfect shot.

I have time with me and with my thoughts.  My thoughts 

always seek out my Brutus.  I miss him so very much,

 at the same time I love Sniff with all my heart, and I know

 we are very, very  fortunate to have him.  As everyone 

keeps telling us, "Sniff is Special."  That he sure is.

Looking forward to our time here.  Never know what
 can happen.  That is always the best part.  I love 
these little road trips.  We have a blast and there 
is always something new to see and discover.

Making memories one road trip at a time.  Some 
beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost...

Monday Again ~

Life moves so fast. You gotta document the good times, man...

One day closer to seeing my parents.  I'm super excited

 and happy.  My parents are getting older, and every

 chance I have to see them is a blessing I count.  

At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to 
a child's success is the positive involvement of parents. 

To my parents, I will always be grateful and thankful for 
all you did and continue to do for us.  Anything I can do to 
repay that is never going to be enough.  Thank you for 
loving us in the good and sometimes not so good times.

We had a great day yesterday.  Arvid helped
 a friend with some cars, and then we had some
 quality time for ourselves.  Always good.

As the new week begins there is lots to do.  Staying busy 

is something we thrive on.  Another week is here.

  Time sure is going by fast.  Suddenly before

 you know it, February will soon be over.

Wishing everyone a productive week ahead. 

 As always whatever it is you do, do it with enthusiasm. 

 Put your heart and soul into it.  That's the only way.

Enthusiasm is the mother of effort, and without it nothing

great was ever achieved.  If you have passion, there is no

 need for excuses because your enthusiasm will trump 

any negative reasoning you might come up with. 

Enthusiasm makes excuses a non issue...
