Thursday August 12th ~

I've learned over and over that life
happens on its own terms, not mine...

That so called tropical depression did not bring
us any rain the day it was supposed to, but sure gave
us some yesterday.  Add to that some strong winds and
very dark clouds. Have to say we did fine.  After
that, there was just sunshine and rainbows.

The day has gone to hell.  Too early for this, but
sometimes life just happens.  Good morning all.  Hope
you have a better day than what we have today.

Life happens. There is no point in being upset
or down about things we can't control or change...

Thursday June 17 ~

There may be people who have more talent
than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to
work harder than you do – and I believe that...

Today I pick up MacGyver from the vet.  He has already spent
two nights there, and now to the next location so that he can
heal before I release him.  Marbles is missing him as am I.

Can't wait for him to be back home where he belongs, and
where he is happy.  They both still need good homes, so if you
know of anyone willing to take them please message me. Airfare
back East (USA) may be provided if they get a good home.

Yesterday we went to Old san Juan and met up with
my cousins and their families.  Also with my sister
and Kimsy.  Ten of us all together.  Was loud.

My cousins live in Arizona, but are New Yorkers 100%.
They have also all lived at some point in Puerto Rico.
The twins, Ray, pictured here with his two daughters
and his brother Ryan (not here) were born in PR.

At the age of 6 they moved to New York, and a few
years ago made the move to Arizona.  Today Arizona
will be experiencing a high of 117F (47C)  They
are very happy to not be there right now.

Sunny morning right now.  We did have bad weather
earlier, but right now Sniff is enjoying the sunshine
from his favorite morning spot.  Sniff is a happy boy
and I love him so much.  He's my happy place.

Good morning everyone.  Week is soon over.  Boy time is sure flying by.

Nothing is permanently perfect. But there are
perfect moments and the will to choose what
will bring about more perfect moments...

Saturday Feels ~

The only thing you can do is prepare the best
you can and then just accept... stuff happens...

Yesterday we decided to go to Costco 😂.  Surprise!
It was packed.  No matter where you go in Puerto Rico
there are hundreds of people.  Especially when it comes
to grocery stores of sorts.  People here eat very well.

Arvid and I were not members.  All we wanted to do was to
check out and see if we could find a few things we are not able
to find in the grocery store.  No sireee.  We had to be members.
No day pass or anything is allowed.  Members or nothing.

Driving around different areas of Puerto Rico,
I can't help but notice how rundown the houses are.
How rundown everything is, yet here we are.

Then of course the other side.  The island is
definitely beautiful.  The people are warm, welcoming
and always so very affectionate.  Puerto Ricans love
people and they live live and are happy people. and the
fact that there is a beach at every corner definitely
makes it a little piece of a tropical paradise.

The beach above is called Tortuga Beach.  Located in the
gem of Culebrita Island.  Yes, Puerto Rico.  Accessible
only by water taxi or of course boat.  There are not
many facilities, but it's what draws many to it.

Arvid usually says to me, "I don't have an island
feeling when we drive around."  That's because we are
surrounded by mountains and lots of vegetation.

Then there is this.  White sand beaches and palm trees.
Definitely a tropical paradise with so much more.  We've
been to Hawaii before and I would choose Puerto Rico
over and over again.  More affordable and accessible.
Definitely as beautiful if not more. People friendly.

Where we live we are fortunate to watch the sunrise everyday.
I see it everyday when walking.  I know when we leave one
day I will miss it very much.  Home calls, at the same
time I'm torn.  What will become of "my" kitties?

To all a good day.  Bright skies and beautiful sunshine right now.
Can also change in the blink of an eye.  Island living at its best.

Home isn't a place, it's a feeling...

Thursday May 28th ~

You were born to win...

The waterways keep us entertained and makes for
the passing of each day much more pleasurable.

We saw these these two girls and one boy trying
to paddle board.  The girls just aced the paddle
boarding while the boy struggled 🚤 a lot.

And then we have the boy.  He gave it his best shot.

After seeing the boy struggle for some time,
the girl decided to jump in and give him a hand.
All's well that ends well.  Happy day for all.

Life is not always a matter of who wins or not.  It's all
about having a good time and enjoying the process, on the
other hand I love to win while still having a good time 😚

If you can be positive in a negative situation you win.
Winning is not everything but the effort to win is...
