Saturday September 3rd~

 Trust the timing of everything.  Just because it's not
 happening right now doesn't mean it never will...

Two Wednesday's in a row now that Arvid and I 
were supposed to take Chris, the new guy at Almost Home

 to listen to music.  Unfortunately the venue was cancelled

 on both Wednesdays.  Not enough people to cover

 the expenses of putting on the show.

Our next try to get to see the show is not next Wednesday,

 but hopefully on the 14t of September if all goes well.   As

 Derrick said to Arvid, “I will do everything possible to

 make it happen.”  Hope so. Derrick is a nice guy

 and we enjoyed a couple of his shows before.

Already Saturday. The week is almost done and next

 week will go by fast too.  September is already looking

 busy.  Yesterday we took Chris and Debbie for lunch.

  Chris’ birthday is on Sunday.  Sunday belongs 

 to us 😍, as Arvid likes to say to me all the time.

I have not seen big Gerald for at least 4 days. Of course 

I’m frantically looking for him.  I still leave him his

 foodies but I don’t see him 😢. Someone for sure is 

eating his food. Either lil Gerald or baby Gerald.  I've 

grown accustomed to his face and now miss him.

Aside from that, all the wildlife is doing well.  I have

 seen mama deer and her two babies again.  The neighbor 

keeps trying to get me involved in a skincare program. 

Rodan + Fields.  I’m sure it’s good.  I have tried it, 

only problem is that it’s a regimen and I’m not 

good at following a cleansing routine 😔  

Soccer is always o so Arvid is happy.

I'm just not good at having a set regimen for anything. 

 I do things my way and for that there is no set rules 😂

Good morning to all and let this be a month to sparkle.

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain 

way to succeed is always to try just one more time...

Wednesday July 20th ~

 Always forward. Never back…Learn something new everyday... 

Yesterday we never left the house. It was that hot. 

That meant I had so much time on my hands.  Of course I 

was a little bored.  Yesterday I did not go to AHL because

 Pookie had someone else taking care of her.  I go there 

today and yes very excited to see who I will see 🙃. 

It makes me happy when I go there.  Yes, it 

was hard work, but it was good also.  And no, 

I don’t regret not being there all the time.

Arvid knows how to stay busy. He just has a

 knack for it.  Thank goodness for the internet 🙃

 keeps us both busy with our our stuff.

Sniff is good but has not been at his best. 

He’s been moody lately.  Has not been eating

 his foodies.  Of course I worry, but I have learnt

 to control myself.  I know he’s not starving.

The wildlife in our back yard continues to keep 

us entertained  even Arvid looks out every so often

 to see who’s moving around.  Last night mama and 

her baby showed up.  baby has gotten big now.

 Yesterday the turtle visited again.  Of course he found lots

 to eat.  That’s him eating a piece of a tortilla.  The squirrel

 ate the apple I meant for Gerald, the groundhog. Gerald didn’t 

mind one bit, he had lots of carrots and nuts to choose from.

Another quiet day awaits us 🙃  Arvid already

 has a few hires around the house so he’s happy.  Keeping 

busy he says..  wishing everyone a great day and may

 your goals get a closer to being accomplished.

What matters in life is not what happens to you but 

what you remember and how you remember it…

June 7th ~ Day Like These ~

 If you want to be strong, learn to fight , 8th if we close...

Sometimes, actually quite often life throws a curve at

 you when you least expect it, but the way you handle

 it is always what will determine your outcome in life.

Somedays I miss our Brutus so very much,

 but I also love our Sniff with all my heart.

Good morning all.  Branson is already booming 

with people, makes for busy days and lively times.

Life teaches you a new lesson everyday if you

 are attentive enough in the class of life...

Thursday October 14th ~

 Sometimes the hardest battle in life is to know 
which bridge to cross and which to burn...

Here in the US you hear and see just about everything.  

This killing with a bow and arrow is not something that 

happens often.  But then we're talking about Norway where 

Arvid said to me, "it's not that easy to get guns."  Does 

this then explain the bow and arrow killings?

Here in Puerto Rico it's a gloomy day.  Rain and 

more rain in our forecast.  Yesterday we met with

 my sister and Kimsy at Plaza las America.  Just for 

coffee and pastry.  Arvid of course had none.

Happy Saturday ~

Life is made up of little things.  Fix your own 

faults before you ask others to fix theirs...

When asked what she wanted to do for her summer 

vacation, my niece Lilly Vade said she just wanted to lay 

by their pool, jump into the hot tub and get a tan.  

Since moving to California Lilly and her brothers say they 

"live everyday as if they were on vacation."  Of course now that 

they have a pool and hot tub surrounded by palm trees and just about 

perfect weather who can blame them for thinking that way.

  Next step was the hot tub.  Together with their friends, 

Lilly and family are living the life dreams are made of.  

When Lilly Vade is not busy in the pool, she's busy making

 YouTube tutorials on how to apply makeup.  I have a few of those

 tutorials, and not only is she hilarious, but shes also 

very serious on her how to apply techniques.

Meanwhile in Vermont, Rio is getting bigger and more

 gorgeous by the day.  His family are smitten.  Rio gets driven to 

the park and when he's relaxing at home he has his own hammock.

 He loves to share it with his papa, but when papa is busy 

Rio swings on his own.  Yeah life is good.

In Florida, Tex is being pet sit by a couple who fell in

 love with him.  Instead of them going to take care of him 

at his home, the couple brought Tex to their home.  

Talk about being spoilt.  When my sister and husband got back

 from their cruise they found Tex stretched out in the sitters 

living room sound asleep.  Tex is one good doggie.

Here at home all is good with us.  Arvid is happy as can be 

because everyday he gets to watch soccer.  The team does

 not matter so much.  He loves to see goals being scored. 

 Occasionally Sniff will join him to watch the game, but not

 too often.  Brutus on the other hand used to love napping

 by his side whenever the games were on.  Life goes on.

Loving Life ~

Be yourself because an original is worth more than a copy...

We at Almost Home are once again hosting a dinner for the tenants.  

Yesterday I started cooking for 60 to 70 people.  Most would say, 

"why don't you have it catered?"  Arvid asked me that several 

times, but the truth is that many of the tenants asked me to make

 certain things they like.  Specifically my coleslaw.  To that 

I also made potato salad, an asparagus, green bean and

 corn salad and today I will make the rice and beans.

We catered the chicken and we will also be doing a BBQ.  

Lots of desserts as well.  Chris and Tiffany are also making potato 

salad so I know we will have a lot of food.  With what I have already made

 I am sure it will be enough for the tenants, but I always go more than less.

I have already made a few foil containers of coleslaw and potato salad.  

I had to empty the entire fridge to make room for the containers.  

Arvid as not happy when he saw his Smirnoff Vodka on the 

countertop, but he let that slide.  What he did not let slide was me

 taking out the one bottle of Landshark beer from the fridge. 

 He said, "that stays"  We were bot happy with that.

We had an opening yesterday and before the day was over I 

got a phone call from a previous tenant asking if we had any openings.

  We had him before, therefore the decision was easy.   He told me he 

would not be in town until Tuesday, but I told him if he wanted the 

room he would have to take it as of today and pay for it.  No hesitation. 

 He gave me his card and.. he has a room.  He was super happy.

Saturday.  It is going to be a great day.  The birds are already singing.  

The sun is shining and the skies are blue.  Best of all Sniff is next to me.

A positive mind towards everything will give you a happier life...
