Saturday June 6th~

No medicine cures what happiness cannot...

Sniff and I were awake early, and to satisfy a curiosity
I just googled some information.  My friend Anna,
and I were chatting last night and the question as
to which city in the USA has the most sunny days
came up.  Now I know.  Useful information?
Don't think so, but I have the time 🀷🀩.

Of course when Arvid wakes up I will quiz him.
As usual Arvid won't care, but why not inform him. Arvid
has a knack of forgetting what he calls "useless" information
very fast 😦, so I just pick and choose what I tell him πŸ˜ƒ

Since reopening here in South Florida, COVID-19
cases have surged, but does not mean everyone will get
sick and die. I'm not being callous, but life needs to go back
on track.  It seems if you say "all lives matter" it's also
wrong.  This is not a race thing, but it sure has become.

With the riots going on it feels as if we are living in
an alien place.  Looting and killing in the name of justice
is just wrong.  Destroying property and human life suddenly
is what prevails.  The country has already gone to hell.

Destroying property is now common.  Businesses that
were all ready for reopening are now burnt to the ground
or completely vandalized.  This is not of course everyone,
but it's always those few that makes the rest look bad.
This unfortunately, is the America we now live it.

We have been informed that in our area, across
from us there will be 2 protests going on.  One can just
hope they will be peaceful and that everyone will
 remember that ALL LIVES MATTER.

And life goes on.  The new norm is
the way today. Here comes the rain again ☔.

How many moments of silence do we
have to have until we aren't anymore...

Friday May 22nd ~

Some people feel the rain, others just get wet...

It's been raining everyday for the last week and
a half.  I like rain ☔, but now it's about time it stopped
a little.  The duckies have been doing really good.
There are water puddles everywhere you go.

We try to get our walks in, but some days like yesterday, it was
just not possible.  It never stopped raining.  Other days we have
☂️ been lucky because it stopped raining by the time we went
walking, even though at times we were caught in a little drizzle.

Rain or no rain the days are beautiful but very humid.
Looking forward to the day the gym in our building
would reopen.  Not a fan of humidity at all.

Even though we have reopened, the roads are
still very quiet.  So far restaurants are not getting
the business they expected, but the weekend
is coming, and that might change🀷🀷.

As we walked past the Downtowner Saloon, there
were less people around compared to when everything
was closed.  Many are being very cautious.  Just like us.
Hoping that soon we will be enjoying Fridays here again

Yesterday was takeout day.  I am hoping we can soon
go to an actual restaurant and have lunch there.  Working
on Arvid so who knows.  maybe Sunday?  Something
simple, and of course outdoor seating.  It can happen.

Already thinking about the weekend.  What will we
do differently?  Not much, but somehow it seems like
weekends we make plans for things we want to do.
Who am I kidding we make plans everyday.

Fort Lauderdale is CONSIDERING reopening its
beaches, but not for the long weekend.  The Memorial Day
Weekend is definitely not going to be a beach one for the
greater Fort Lauderdale.  Not many happy faces around πŸ–

Wishing everyone a fabulous Friday.  Things are
slowly taking shape and slowly but surely, little by little
life will soon begin to feel "normal" again.  For some,
like us it may take a little longer.  Thank you Arvid πŸ™„

May your weekend be filled with positive
thoughts,  kind people and  happy moments...

Saturday ~

Be who you were created to be
and you will set the world on fire...

Yesterday saw us in Fort Myers, looking at a car for
a customer.  A bright red Corvette.  After a little back
and forth with the buyer in Norway, a deal was made.

Soon some lucky person in Norway will be the owner
of a bright red Corvette.  Happy times ahead.

Arvid and I had a quiet day.  After a few chores, we had
lunch at home, and watched some TV.  It was peaceful,
and we did not do much running around aside from driving
to Fort Myers.  Always pleasant times when we have a
little road trip.  Especially when we are "on the job."

Lots of soccer in store for today.  Aside from that
not sure what the day holds as yet, but because it's starting
out on the chilly side again, Arvid will be making us his
specialty.  Hot chocolate.  We are happy as can be.

What you do makes a difference, and you
have to decide what kind of difference you
want to make. Happy day to everyone.

If you are always trying to be normal, you
will never know how amazing you can be...

Tuesday Waiting For Danielle ~

A thankful heart is a happy heart.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life...

September is not yet over and already Halloween
is in the air.  Our grocery store has put out everything
Halloween a little over a week ago.  It is definitely looking
pretty and with the colors of the leaves, pumpkins and
gobblers you can definitely feel Fall in the air.

About last night.  All was quiet, until it wasn't.
Huge accident on the road and we saw it all unfold from our
balcony.  Of course I was there to take a few pictures.

Very excited today.  We're patiently waiting for
Danielle to arrive.  Of course we have made plans
to do so much with her, unfortunately most of it may not
happen, but we will try.  Danielle will be home with Sniff
while Arvid and I go on our road trip.  Could not
be happier to have her keep Sniff company.

Last night as we were in bed Arvid said to me,
"tomorrow is going to be a great day.  Melvin
(he calls Danielle that.  Long story) will be
here, and she is a breath of fresh air."

A beautiful day awaits us and I am grateful and thankful.

When you rise in the morning, give thanks for
the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks
for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no
reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself...

Monday Again ~

 Cherish your yesterdays,
 dream your tomorrows and
 live your todays...

Last Monday I was in Canada with family.
Loved it very much, but for me there is
nothing better than being with Arvid,
Sniff and yes Brutus and Shadow.

 They are always in my
heart and in my thoughts.

This morning like most mornings, i look
at them and the memories just come
flooding back to me.  How I miss my Brutus.
Some days I think of him so much.

Weather is definitely getting colder
here in Chicago.  The air is crisp and
chilled.  Arvid of course is cold and is
always bundled up.  Sniff is also a bit chilly
because he stays for longer periods curled up
in his bed.  Guess I am the only one in
our family enjoying the cool September air.

Good morning everyone.  A new week is here again.
And I can't seem to stop saying...time sure flies.

Keep your eyes on the stars
and your feet on the ground...
