Humor ~

Humor is mankind's greatest blessing.

This was forwarded to me by a friend and it made me laugh so thought
I would share it with you and see if it does the same for you.  Enjoy..

A mother passing by her daughter's bedroom was astonished to see the bed
was nicely made and everything was picked up. Then she saw an envelope propped
up prominently on the center of the bed. It was addressed, "Mom." With the worst
premonition, she opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands:

Dear Mom:  It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing you. I had to elope
with my new boyfriend because I wanted to avoid a scene with Dad and you.
I've been finding real passion with Ahmed and he is so nice-even with
all his piercings, tattoos, beard, and his motorcycle clothes.

But it's not only the passion Mom, I'm pregnant and Ahmed said that we
will be very happy. He already owns a trailer in the woods and
has a stack of firewood for the whole winter.

He wants to have many more children with me and that's now one of my dreams too.
Ahmed taught me that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone and we'll be growing
it for us and trading it with his friends for all the cocaine and ecstasy we want.

In the meantime, we'll pray that science will find a cure for AIDS so
Ahmed can get better;  he sure deserves it!! Don't worry Mom, I'm 15 years old
now and I know how to take care of myself. Someday I'm sure we'll be
back to visit so you can get to know your grand children.
Your daughter, Judith

PS: Mom, none of the above is true. I'm over at the neighbor's house.
I just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life
than my report card that's in my desk center drawer. I
love you! Call when it is safe for me to come home.

Our day started of beautifully, and will continue on for the rest of the weekend.
To all a great day and always remember to make time for yourself.

Quiet Sunday...

Quiet is peace. Tranquility. Quiet is turning down the volume knob on life.
Silence is pushing the off button. Shutting it down. All of it.

Looking forward to a quiet Sunday just Arvid and I.  Sundays are our days to be alone,
but there are many Norwegians visiting right now so not sure how it will be.  Every January
a group of Norwegians come to Fort Lauderdale for the car auction.  Of course they
come during other times of the year, but this auction is a must on their calendars.

They are our good friends so we enjoy their company as well, but Sundays are special for
just the 2 of us.  Arvid is not that into the auction anymore, but he does go at least 2 times.
It's a 4 day event and he has already been there once.  Today who knows, he may go again.

Wishing you all a good day and may you always live in interesting times.

I keep myself busy with things to do,
but every time I pause I still think of you...

Monday...

Even thought you're on the right track,
you'll get run over if you just sit there...

A new week.  New start.  New beginnings.  New way to look at life.
That being said, we are going to another of our favorite spots for vacation, Mexico.
This and Chicago are the 2 places we enjoy the most when not in Florida.

The next few days will be spent relaxing, and watching the dolphins. I can't shut
off what I feel, but i promised Arvid to really try and have a good time. We both
really need it right now.  Nowhere better right now than the calm blue waters,  and
the sound of dolphins in Mexico.  The one place where Brutus did not go with us.

I keep myself busy with things to do, but every time I pause
I still think of you.  Mama misses her Brutus.  Good morning everyone.
Let's hope this week is better than the last.

I wish you a day filled with unexpected miracles...
