Tuesday February 13th ~

A great relationship is about two things.
First, appreciating the similarities, and
second, respecting the differences...

The wait is soon over for all Bob Marley fans I know our
nephew Gabby will be one of the first to see the movie.

We will be having more company soon.  This time
Arvid's side of the family will be coming.  Looking
forward to seeing Victoria and Michael next week.

We always have a good time no matter what.  Strange
as it is, she and I are quite similar. VM are one of the kindest
people you will ever meet, and that she got all by herself.

Life taught her that.  I care very much for her, and below is
one of my favorite pictures taken quite some years ago in
Fort Lauderdale.  Arvid and I had a boat at the time.

We will meet them next week at Kaluz.  Usually our first
meeting is lunch at the mall, but I told Arvid I think she and
I would prefer Kaluz.  Arvid now believes it was his idea πŸ˜‚

Kaluz is a restaurant on the water in Fort Lauderdale.
Beautiful views of boats passing by.  There was a time we
lived walking distance from Kaluz.  Now I am missing it.

A little trip to Fort Lauderdale means I get to go to the
Swap Shop and get all my favorite fruits.  Happy for that too.
I have most here in Fort Myers, but the coconut selection
is better at the Swap Shop.  I plan to stock up on it.

It's quiet here.  Soccer is still on.  Sniff and Arvid
watch together, occasionally fall into a little sleep, but they
are entertained.  Many a days at that time I would be over
by my parents.  I am missing them.  My mom a lot.

A good day to all.  Another beautiful day awaits us.

Always keep good company. Never waste an hour with
anyone who doesn't lift you up and encourage you...

January 1st 2023 ~New Month~ New Year

2022 thank you for all the lessons.  2023 I am ready...

Every year we make the resolution to change ourselves.
This year let's make the resolution to be ourselves.  Once again
a brand new year and a million chances to outshine 2022

I have not made resolutions, but I have made a promise to
myself, Arvid and Sniff that we should continue to enjoy everyday
to the fullest and to live life with zest and happiness everyday.
Of course things happen, life has it's ups and downs, but after
all is said and done, I just want to live and be happy.

Let's just spend the rest of our lives together.  As you Arvid Hvidsten,
keep saying to me, "let's aim for another 22 years and we go from there."

New Year wishes.  I like the dream of the
future better than the history of the past...

Sunday ~

 Open your arms to change
but don't let go of your values...

The whole day off.  Sure sounds wonderful.
What shall I do? It seems unreal.  Feels like
I should be at Almost Home working.

I will just spend it cleaning, doing housework
and just getting things in order for the upcoming
work week.  Very exciting if you ask me.

You have not lived today
until you have done something or
someone who can never repay you.
Old ways won't open new doors...

Saturday July 17th ~

The best things in life are the people you love.
The places you've seen, and the memories
 you've made along the way...

Talking to Arvid I can hear how exhausted he is
😍, on the other hand that's always how it is when
you go on "vacation"  You're tired and you need a
vacation from your vacation.  He says it's time to
come home and that it's not the same without me.

Today he bids farewell to the little ones, Michelle
and Emil. I know that will be very sad.  It  is
always very sad  😒to say goodbye no matter
how much one wants to come home.  Sad

He keeps telling me how ready he is to come
home, at the same time he said he has spent a lot of
time with his mom.  That was one of the main reasons,
and he did what he said he was going to do.  Spend lots
of time taking her out of the apartment a little each day.

I'm happy he is spending time with everyone.
I am also glad to have my time alone.  I like visiting
everyone in Norway, but for me it's always too long
the stay.  I really enjoy everyone's company a lot,
but after a week I am always ready to go home.
For me there is no place like home.

I do miss the little ones a lot.  Their hugs, their love,
and their laughter.   For them I will always stay longer.
I also very much enjoy the company of Victoria and
Michael, Michelle and Emil.  Always good times.

I am having a really relaxing and fun time
here in Puerto Rico.  I am amazed at the beauty
I have seen in the las few weeks.  places Arvid and
I would probably never have gone to.  So happy.

Wishing everyone a great day.  Today has already been
pretty hectic and the day is still not over as yet 😍

Live for moments you can't put into words...

Happy Sniff ~ Happy Day ~

There’s no happier person than
a truly thankful, content person...

Sniff got his new scratch pad about a week ago.
On the first day he he loved it.  He scratched away like there
is no tomorrow, and that was it.  Short lived "love affair" with
the scratch pad.  Now it sits and I hope he will use it again.

Yesterday we had a little bad weather.  Lost power
a few times, but the good thing is that the generator kicks in
right away.  As Arvid said, "this is the best place of all the places
we have lived."  We have found that everything works really
well here.  Not sure why, but we are surprised about that.

The above was the start of the sunset.  Morning or night
it is a beautiful site.  Always something to see πŸ‘€ and to hear .

Sniff is trying to get into the Halloween spirit,
so far not his favorite time of the year, but then there
are so many "not favorite times" in his book. πŸ‘»

Happy ew day to all, and let's not forget that
there is always something to be grateful for.

It’s ironic that when you go through a tragedy,
you appreciate more. You realize how fragile life is and
that there are so many things to still be thankful for...

Friday ~

Kindness is the language which the
deaf can hear and the blind can see...

I don't think  will ever get tired of waking up to
this view.  Even when we have stormy weather,
it always clears up to bright blue skies 🌎.

On Sunday we will give a "tour" of our home to Arvid's
family via skype.  Mine have already seen it, so will
be nice for the Norwegian gang to see it as well.

Looking forward to what the little ones will think of
the bunk room.  Though it's the office, it's all set up for
little kids.  The only little kids left in the family are our 2
granddaughters, and Lilly Vade.  Lilly Vade is now 13 so
probably she won't like being called "little" anymore.

Friday..hmmm I wonder what we will do today.
If it's anything like the other Friday's, I am already
smiling.  I see a tropical drink 🍹or 2 in my horizon.

On a different note, Florida adds 3,356 coronavirus
cases yesterday, the most reported since last month. Also,
141 resident deaths. Bringing the total death in Florida
to 15,736.  About last night.  It was all pink.

Here in PR the numbers are also a little high,
but at least in PR we feel safer doing the things
we do when compared to Florida.  Sad.

Happy Friday to all.  Looking forward to
another beautiful day here in the islands.

Happiness depends upon ourselves...
