Sunday...

Life is good.  Small things make me smile.  Good people make me
laugh and amazing family and friends keep me blessed...

If you're looking for a good place to eat, you don't mind waiting, you don't mind sitting
really close to each, and you don't mind that they bring you your food bits by bits,
then Benihana's is the place to go to.  The food is really good and when you are
in the company of friends who are not only nice, but also very interesting
and entertaining then it's a win-win situation for everyone.

Yesterday evening we had such an outing.  We laughed, and we enjoyed good
food maybe one too many mojitos for me, but we left satisfied and happy.

Yesterday as Arvid was watching one of his many soccer games on TV, I decided to
go to the Galleria Mall.  Yes, I really like it there.  I have a few of my favorite stores right there.
One being the Michael Kors store.  Of course I decided to visit my friend Stephanie and
check out their latest collection.  I have been a MK fan now for several years.

Way before MK became that popular.  I still like it of course, but I was not really
impressed with much of the new collection and I realized that the leather
was really hard, not like Coach whose leather is very soft.

Before MK I was mainly a Coach girl.  My mom and sisters still prefer it than the MK
label and now I think I see why.  I saw the new Coach collection and I fell in love with it
right away.  The leather is amazing and the quality is so much better.  As of now I am
taking a break from MK and returning to Coach.  Got my eyes set on a handbag.

Does not necessarily mean I am giving up all of my MK handbags.  Not happening.

In preparation for our upcoming trip, I also treated myself to a mani-pedicure. One
feels so good to just pamper themselves and I am into some lighter colors these days.

Good morning everyone.  Brutus and Arvid still asleep.
I'm enjoying my cafe. Life is good right now.

Life is only as good as you decide to make it.
So stand up, be BOLD, and don't let everyone else define it...

Just Be Happy...

Judge nothing, you will be happy. Forgive everything, you will be happier. Love everything, you will be happiest...

No one ever said that life was a bed of roses.  If it was, then we would all be living in a perfect world. Life is not perfect, it is up to us to make the most of what we are given and to strive to always be as good a person we can and to do the best we possible can.  This being said, we all must have at least one person in our lives we rather we didn't.  That one person who if allowed can make our life's difficult and at times stressful...The key here is "IF ALLOWED"   Like many, I also know many people who are rather annoying, bothersome and plain just a pain in the butt, but like you, I also try to see the good side of everyone, not always easy and sometimes just impossible.  Sometimes we encounter people in our lives that because of envy or jealousy they just don't like you...and go out of their way to be difficult.

I have learnt to ignore this kind of behaviour because I have been through a lot in my life.  I know that life is very short to have resentments and anger towards each other.  I strive to rise above pettiness and to ignore narrow minded people.

Both Arvid and I live life the way we want.  We never let anything nor anyone influence our choices nor cramp our lifestyle.  I have sen too many life's destroyed by families and opinions of others.  I learnt that the key to happiness is to say and tell as little as possible.  As they say the less they know the better off we are...

I’ve learned you can’t always saved the world. But you can make the world a better place by working on yourself–by becoming self-aware, tapping into your compassion, and protecting your positive space. You may even help negative people by fostering a sense of peace within yourself that their negativity can’t pierce.

Mahatma Gandhi once said, "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong"

If you want plenty of experience in dealing with difficult people, then have kids...They can betray me, but I choose not to betray my peace of mind....

until next time...
