Friday November 29th~

In the blink of the eye, it could all
be taken away.  Be grateful always.  A
grateful heart is the best kind to have...

We had a very good time at mom and dad's yesterday.
Max and Kelsey were also there, this made for an even better
time.  Max is a very funny guy, but he does not realize it.

Today Arvid and I spend a quiet day at home while most
people deal with Black Friday deals.  Mom and dad said
they will go to the outlets, jut to get out.  I told them it was
a bad idea, but the only way to learn is to do it yourself.

Everywhere will be jam-packed today.  Not for us.
I'm sure the deals are good, but they have been going
on now for weeks, both online and in stores.

This past week there has been a lot of soccer games.
Both Sniff and Arvid enjoyed themselves.  Sniff got some
much needed sleep time and Arvid got some of his aggressions
out.  I was just a bystander watching these two do their thing.

Thanksgiving Day was beautiful.  Blue skies
and warm 82F (28C) weather.  The drive to mom and
dad's is with the many lakes and palm trees.  Also
the sunsets from their home is unbeatable.

Max and Kelsey made it even better.  Max is funny.
We had a lot of good foodies made by all of us.  Kelsey
made an amazing apple pie.  Arvid does not do dessert so
he missed out.  My mom did make him his favorite foods
and she made him a flan.  That he will eat here at home.

What I would like to do today is take a walk this
evening downtown.  Tonight is the lighting of the Christmas
tree downtown Fort Myers.  I love Christmas so would
like to go and see that.  Then of course I would like to have
a slice of pizza.  Arvid is good with this plan as well. This
all sounds good except now the forecast calls for rain.

I am grateful for what I am and have.
 My Thanksgiving is perpetual...

Thankful ~

My life isn't perfect, but I am thankful for everything I have...

Some of the things I have learnt in life.  True then and still true today.
Looking forward to another very relaxing day at home.  Being sick has a few
good merits.  I get to do absolutely nothing all day.  Truth is I
am getting a tad bit bored, loving it at least until Monday.

Even if it kills you I always advise, "put on a happy face."

Said a friend of mine not so long ago.  We all have had a sample of this
in one way or another.  Unfortunately, some more than others.  Called life.

Grief is something I know a lot about.  Many think that there is a time limit for grief,
that's because that person has no idea what grief is all about.  We do not let
it fester in us.  We do not sit home crying all day.  It's just something that's
there and some days it is more overwhelming than others.  Some days
it just rips you apart, and just like that you start all over again.

I try to remind everyone including myself, that life is not always what
we want, nor how we want it to be.  At times it can be downright harsh, cruel
and depressing, but on the other hand there are times when we also
need to sit back, reflect and appreciate all the goodness around us.

There is always always something to be grateful for.  Sometimes
many of us tend to forget this.  I include myself here, but then
I look around me and I am thankful for the opportunity I have to wake
up everyday and appreciate another day full of life and love.

Good morning everyone.  May today be a day we learn to appreciate
all the goodness, kindness, compassion and love we have surrounding us.

Keep in mind that someone else is happy
with a lot less than what you have...
