Thanksgiving 2021~

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was,
"thank you," that would suffice. Practicing gratitude
is a very powerful tool to shift your attention on the
things you don't have to the things you do have
and this alone will make you feel better...

Last year we celebrated Thanksgiving in Puerto Rico
with Nirvana, Kimsy, J and Juan.  That time we lived in
what is called pandemic times.  Today the pandemic is
more or less "old" news, and we are back in Florida.

I really miss Kimsy and my sister and those delicious
sangrias😍  So many wonderful memories in Puerto Rico.

Even though I have had some ups and its downs, there
is so much to be grateful for;  I remind myself of that
everyday.  I may not have everything I want, but I sure
have all that I need right now.  For that I am grateful.

My heart is not healed, but everyday I tell myself
that
everything is going to be OK.  I tell myself that there is
so much life has to give to us.  We just have to look at it with
the right attitude and be grateful.  I remind myself that there
are others who have so little. but are grateful always.

For now wishing you all a good day and don't forget,
as we express our gratitude, we must never forget
that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to
live by them"  Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Be safe,
enjoy, and yes put on those few extra pounds...

An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on
Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving after all is a word of action.
Give thanks not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day of your life.
Appreciate and never take for granted all that you have..

Just Because ~

Challenges are what make life interesting and
overcoming them is what makes life meaningful...

Many may have already seen this,  but for those that haven't here it is.
I think this is so very true and thought it was worth repeating.   It's so funny
how the people who know the least about you, have the most to say,
as some one said "I will permit no man to narrow and
degrade my soul by making me hate him"

Life for us is so busy.  Unfortunately there are times because of the time difference
we can't even Skype with our granddaughter.  Life is busy for everyone.
When we have the time the grand kids are believe it or not busy.

Today it is rainy and cold.  Not freezing, but ugly enough to not want to be outside.
Most of the tenants have not stepped out of their rooms as yet.  The hotel is
quiet and work continues as needed.  At Almost Home we have a
new maintenance couple.  Love them and so far no complaints.

The change in weather has everyone feeling not so good.
Arvid is sick and many of the tenants are also coming down with
the cold.  So far I seem to be the only "health" one.

Wishing everyone a good day.  Stay warm and dry.

Life doesn't require that we be the best,
only that we try our best...

Thanksgiving 2016...

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice.
Practicing gratitude is a very powerful tool to shift your attention on the things you
don't have to the things you do have and this alone will make you feel better...

Thanksgiving is such a big celebration here in the USA.  It's one of the holidays where
hundreds of thousands of travellers make their way back to home.  Everyone looks forward
to being home with family and loved ones, and enjoying a very traditional Thanksgiving meal
during this time of giving thanks.  Traditional Thanksgiving Meal.  Interesting tid bit,
Thanksgiving dinners take eighteen hours to prepare.  They are consumed in twelve
minutes.  Half-times take twelve minutes.  This is not coincidence.

The year has had its ups and its downs.  Even so, there is so much to be
grateful for;  I remind myself of that everyday.  I may not have everything I
want, but I sure have all that I need right now.  For that I am grateful.

A new phase begins for us.  Temporary, but still something different.  I am grateful for that.
Happy to experience something new and to move on to a "better" place than I have been since
my Brutus and Shadow died.  A thousand words couldn’t bring you back… I know this because
I tried, neither could a thousand tears… I know this because I cried, you left behind a broken
heart and happy memories too…but I never wanted memories…I only wanted you

For now wishing you all a good day and don't forget, as we express our
gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to
utter words, but to live by them"  Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Be safe, enjoy and yes put on those few extra pounds...

Thanksgiving is not yet even over and all the talk is about Black Friday and the
DEALS!  Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States
traditionally the beginning of the Christmas Shopping season. It get's crazy.
