Give Me Patience...

I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights.  I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone...Anyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac...

Arvid always jokingly tells me that am the least flexible person he knows and the one with the least patience. Usually I laugh it off, but now I will admit that my patience level is nil when it comes to putting up with drivers here.

It seems that no matter what I do or what lane I switch to I am ALWAYS behind the slowest person on the road. I mean why do you have to drive a good 10 miles below the speed limit and to top it off stay on the fast lane?..

Seems like a lot of Florida drivers do not know that if you are going to be driving slow you should NOT stay in the fast lane. I say Florida because we have been to many other states within the US and just about everyone seems to know and observe this rule. There have been times when we are traveling and we do find someone going slow and staying in the fast lane....surprise the license plate on the car says FLORIDA!!!

Lately it has become much more stressful to drive.  With all the snowbirds in Florida traffic is at a standstill and to top it off you have some very slow people...I am usually a pretty easy going person, that is until I am behind the wheels. You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive and boy does your vocabulary get colorful...as someone said "Each year it seems to take less time to fly across the ocean and longer to drive to work"  Remember folks, street lights timed for 35 mph are also timed for 70 mph.

The elderly don't drive that badly; they're just the only ones with time to do the speed limit...Stupidity is not a handicap.  Park elsewhere..!

until next time...
