Weekend...

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever....

It's was a perfect evening the air is cool and the humidity was low and here in Florida low humidity is what Arvid and I really like.  There was a breeze blowing and like as if that were not enough we were enjoying very good music at the Downtowner Saloon.  A little chicken wings combined with some spinach and artichoke did make for a pleasant evening.

Now hardly 7am and Brutus is voicing his displeasure that we are still in bed.  To prove his point he has dragged all his strings into the bedroom and some have little bells on them.  They make noise!  Needless to say, I got out of bed just to make sure he does not injure himself.  He knows us so well.  As Arvid says, "just like kids.  He knows how to manipulate us."  In Brutus' case we think it's OK.

There was a time we lived within walking distance to the Downtowner. To get there now it's a 20 minute drive. Not bad really.  What I really used to enjoy here was the all you can eat crab.  I loved coming here for that.   According to Arvid, they stopped the all you can eat crab because I used to eat too much.  In a way I think he has a point. I mean I did eat too much. Now it appears it's no longer on the menu:(

NW I just buy the crab from the grocery store an have my all you can eat at home instead.  Very good and I can make a mess if I like.  Unfortunately I do, but don't mind the cleaning afterwards because its worth it.

The night before we  went to a place called Aruba's.  We can walk to it from our home. I indulged in something called Mango Madness.  Can't wait to go back and have another one.  Just delicious.  The last few evenings have been beautiful.   The only thing that has made the weekend not so great is the fact that Brutus' paw is swollen and he's hurting.

Both Arvid and I just don't know what to do to make  him comfortable.  We carry him around and hardly let him jump anywhere.  We protect him so much that sometimes I think we overdo it.  Arvid never let's him jump for fear he would injure himself.  If he's not better I will have to take him to the vet on Monday. Yeah, antibiotic and pain killer shot!   He hates this and we do as well.

A drive along the beach with the top down made for a good time and for a perfect evening.  Of course once home Brutus was waiting at the door for us.  He was "talking" as if asking why were we out for such a long time.  Arvid had to :explain" to Brutus about our evening and comfort him.

Yes, little routines sometimes not bad at all.  All is good at home with us.  In a bit it's time to make a few calls and then to enjoy our day.
Have a good Sunday all.
