If you are buried under a flamboyant tree,
your soul is lifted up when it flowers...
The other day I saw a few postings about Puerto Rico.
One being their amazing Flamboyant tree. I remember
growing up with these colorful trees everywhere. The island
was always full of vibrant colors. When Arvid and I lived there
those trees were everywhere. Always such a beautiful sight.
So many great memories of that enchanted island 💖
The flamboyant tree is a vibrant and iconic tree in
Puerto Rico. It's particularly known for its bright, fiery
red-orange blooms that appear during the summer months of June
to August. These trees are not native to the island, having been
introduced by the Spanish, but have become deeply integrated
into the landscape and culture. It is native to Madagascar.
Sometime all it takes is a little scent, a sound a picture
to take you back to so many memories stored away. For
those few minutes one can relive so much. Good and at times
not so good, but even so it's part of who you are. Today I
reminisced about my childhood in Puerto Rico and the time
Arvid and I lived there. These are beautiful memories.
To all a very good day. It is so hot that even the birds
and squirrels did not make an appearance much yesterday.
Sniff though waited and waited for them to show up. He
would nap then come and wait for a while. When no one
showed up he went back to sleep. No matter what, all is
good in Sniff's world. Because I make it all good for him.
of life lies in memories we have forgotten...
