Sniff Sniff ~ My Happy Place December 28th

When I'm feeling sad I just look at my Sniff and my courage returns...

As if he could be any cuter.  I just love my Sniff Sniff.
This past week the radiation has been catching up with me.
I hurt a little more.  I burn a little more, but my Sniff
and Arvid are always there to make me feel better.

Today begins my last four treatments that will specifically
target just the area where the cancer is located.  The first 16 treatments
targeted the entire left breast. Right now I really have difficulty lifting
my arm up, and it now hurts.  My doctor has been "warning" me that after
radiation my skin could develop large listers, peeling and extreme burning
sensation.  So far most of my symptoms have been mild.  Just will be
happy when this is now over and I will begin once again to heal

No matter what he does I find it too cute.  Even when I
end up getting scratches from him while I play roughly
with him.  Sniff loves a little rough playtime.

I have way too many pictures of Sniff, but that will not stop
me from taking more.  Everything he does is just cute.

Arvid says I pay more attention to Sniff
than I do to him 😂 and he's probably right.

He's never far from me nor Arvid.  I stress when
I have to leave him alone even for a day.  He's
so used to having us with him at all times.

Sniff has moved around with us approximately nine times.
More than I like, but he has done good so far.  Hopefully we
will settle down in our current homes and not more moves
in the close future.  I think I see a move sometime
back to Fort Lauderdale, but not this minute.

A cat doesn’t care if you are smart or dumb,
give him your heart and he will give you his.

Your house will always be blessed with love,
laughter, and friendship if you have a cat.

I love my Sniff more than I love most people.
Probably more than is healthy.  Nah...

Cats can work out mathematically the exact
place to sit that will cause most inconvenience.

When all is said and done, I could not imagine not having
Sniff in our lives.  My Brutus will forever be my Baby, he took
a part of me that will forever be with him, and I miss him
and love him like I have never loved a kitty before.

Shadow was with us for such a short time.  But Sniff
is here now.  He is everything I need to keep smiling and to
stay focused.  Together with Arvid they complete my life.

There are two means of refuge from
the miseries of life: music and cats...

Killer Station 57 Cat

Sometimes a very special cat enters our lives…
their presence changes our hearts forever. And we can
call ourselves blessed for having known them.
Grief is the price we pay for love...

Pet owners say their animal pal makes them
smile more than once a day.  If you are fortunate
enough to have a pet or to have had one in
your life, know that you are truly blessed.

Our pets become part of our family.  For some
their fur baby is loved more than other family
members.  They ask for nothing except to be loved
and in return they love us unconditionally.

They make our lives better and happier.  They
relieve stress and in many cases they can make
an aloof person more human and more lovable.
Brutus did that, and I am sure your fur babies
do the same for you and your loved ones.

This being said, I have been following a little
kitty on Instagram.  Killer as the kitty is known
has been on Instagram longer than I have.

She (Killer) is the creation of my friend Nancy
from NYC.  When I worked with EMS years ago, Nancy
was also there.  Today she is a Lieutenant/Paramedic for
the station.  Nancy is the the driving force behind the
success of Killer.  Nancy made killer known to the world.

Nancy introduced Killer to the world in 2015.  From
there on, Killer with her unique charm and personality
became famous and well known throughout the world. Killer
has a following of 47.5K  Everyone loves her, and everyday
we were all patiently awaiting what Killer was up to next.

This morning was a sad day.  Killer died.  She was
battling cancer and regardless of all the treatments,
all the prayers from her friends around the world
and the care of her guardian Nancy, Killer died.

I was devastated. Like everyone else, I was rooting for Killer.
Following her progress reports from Nancy.  Some days
were good, others so-so, but today she died.

Like me, many people around the world is grieving for
a kitty they did not know personally, but one they loved
with all their hearts.  Nancy and everyone at Station 57
are devastated.  Killer made the station feel more
like home and she made everyone happy.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

It’s so hard to say goodbye to a beloved fur baby
, and that goodbye, no matter how old the furry
friend is, always feels far too soon...

New Week ~

The more you are positive and say,
'I want to have a good life,' the more you build that reality
for yourself by creating the life that you want...

Lots happening this coming week.  Work and some
fun times combined makes for great expectations.
The weather everyday is sunny and beautiful.

A little rain every so often, but always warm. Humidity
right now is not that bad either.  In all honesty, I do miss
the cooler temperatures of Branson, but I have decided to
go with the flow.  We live in Florida, this is home after all.
You love the good and the not always good about things.
I do like it very much here. What's not to like?

We are working on spiffing up the house we will soon be listing.
It does not need lots of work because it is beautiful.
Directly on the Intracoastal.  That says it all.

Exciting getting back into Real Estate, Shipping and
the things we did when living in Florida.  I did not
think I missed it much, but now that we are back
I realize that I may have missed a few things.

Live life to the fullest.  Just because we do not
have everything exactly the way we want, does not mean
we do not have exactly what we need to be happy.

I have a very, very good life. I'm grateful for all of my friends,
my family and the life that I have, and the possibilities in my future.
Forget about the traffic, stressful work and business meetings
today, be happy that the sun is shining and stay positive...
