Friday May 20th ~

Life is like breathing. If you try to hold it, you’ll lose it.
But let it come & go & you’ll always be connected to it...

It has been a good week so far with lots accomplished.
The week is not yet done for us, but we feel good.

It's been crazy weather week.  Lots of rain, thunder
and lightning one day.  Next day it's all the way in the 90'sF
then it will be "cold" the other day.  With all the running
around we do, especially Arvid, he's still in his shorts.

Sniff is scared of thunder and lightning, but now
he does not run and hide under the bed.  Instead, he's
been coming close to us and tucking himself as far as
he can get into us.  He does this mainly with Arvid, and
during the morning hours he comes on the bed between the
two of us making sure his paws make contact with us.

I can't say we are getting used to working 6-7 days
a week, but I will say that when we do take Sundays
off it feels as if we should be at work instead.

I miss those relaxing days in Puerto Rico, the long
walks along the beach, and my mornings with the
kitties.  Life happened and we go with the flow.

To all a good weekend.  Enjoy and have some fun.

Every now and then, go away, have a
little relaxation, for when you come back to
your work your judgment will be surer...

Getting Nervous....

You can't control everything.  Sometimes you just need to relax
and have faith that things will work out.
Let go a little and just let it happen....

A big part of  yesterday was spent stressing about how to schedule care for Brutus while
we are away.  Easy to do, but because of his medicines, it had to be alternated between Liliana
and Wendy.  As I said to Wendy, "I am nuts."  Wendy said, "yes you are" but at least we understand
each other which for me is as good as it gets.  We trust them both to take good care of Brutus.

The calendar is already taped to the fridge, and has already been emailed to both.
Combined with a VERY long and detailed email, I feel as if i have covered all bases.

Leaving Brutus is always stressful and just doing the calendar was enough stress
to make me not feel like cooking, at least that's what I told Arvid and he bought it.

It also makes it easy when there are many good restaurants to choose from and they
deliver.  Yesterday we were in the mood for Italian and Umberto's is five minutes from us.

More rain yesterday followed by LOUD thunder.  This time Brutus definitely
took off.  Arvid followed him and tried to get him to come out from under the bed.
Took a little coaxing, but he finally came out.  The rain of course did not stop the boaters from
enjoying themselves as you can see.  Nothing stops the fun when you live in The Sunshine State.

After the rain the manatees came out.

The sunset brought the day to a perfect closing.

The days are flying by.  Too fast if you ask me.  Soon it will be time to leave Brutus.
I am NEVER ready for that, but I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Norway.
Boy it is true what they say.  Life really is not that complicated.  We make it complicated.

Good  morning from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I think I need to listen to Wendy.  She told me to  breathe in
SLOWLY, GENTLY, DEEPLY
and breathe out.

I've always got such high expectations for myself.
I'm aware of them, but I can't relax them...
