Sunday To Relax ~

 Your mind will answer most questions if 
you learn to relax and wait for the answer...

Sunday, we have a day off.  Finally.  Suddenly 
you appreciate the little things even more. Planning
 on just relaxing, of course always a little paperwork 
that we need to catch up on. Overall, an easy day.


Yesterday we were only in the office for a few hours. 
It was absolutely QUIET!  Love it. We took our 
maintenance man and his wife out to lunch.

Of course we took them to our favorite place.  Drafts. 
 We had the chicken wings, and they had the much
 awaited chicken sandwich.  Everyone was happy.


To make this day "perfect" all I want is peace, quiet and 
no phone calls.  At work I am answering call all day long among
 other things.  Good to just take a break from the phones.


To all a good day, and may we all rest up for the week
 that awaits us.  Definitely looking good already.


Spring is here, and with that we hope warmer 
temperatures as well.  Hello first day of spring.  Let's
 not forget, where flowers bloom, so does hope

Sometimes, the most productive thing
 that you can do is to step outside and do
 nothing... relax and enjoy nature...

Sunday Vibes ~

 Everyday is a good day.  There is something to 
learn, care and celebrate.  Make it memorable...

J is in Medellin, Colombia.  That boy is something else.  
He bought a one way ticket and only time will tell when
 he gets back.  The pandemic sure did one thing right, 
it allowed and still allows people to work remotely.


J is trying to get his mom to go and spend a few 
weeks there.  So far I am not sure if Nirvana will or won't go.
  The other day she was leaning towards going, now I am 
not so sure.  Kimsy was a definite not going.


While Nina was here we did something everyday together
 with Nirvana and sometimes Kimsy, if she was up for it. 
 Our days were packed and I now miss it.  I love being 
"busy" and constantly doing something different.
  Nina says I have way too much energy 😂


To all a happy day.  A few things to 
do today so will be a little busy again 😍


They say a person needs just three things to
 be truly happy in this world: Someone to love,
 something to do, and something to hope for...

Saturday February 13th ~

 Beautiful, beachy Florida is known as “The Sunshine State”,
 and it’s clear why. Winter over there might as well be a figment
 of your imagination. And while the weather does sometimes get 
wild, it’s mainly sunshine and balmy days down in Florida...

"Winter" hits differently in the Sunshine State.  Happy for that.


Our friends in Branson, Missouri are not so lucky.
 It's going to be an even EXTRA cold week there. I was
 told that it has not been this cold in years.  Lots of snow is
expected there, and the stores are out of salt.  Not good.


Yesterday afternoon.  balcony time.


Yesterday evening.  Hot tub time.


Always Sniff time. 


To all a happy day.  Stay warm.  Stay in and bundle up 
for all that are experiencing this extremely harsh winter 
right now.  Just have to say, we are so happy to be
 in the Sunshine State.  Wish you were here also.


Florida.. some call it vacation.  I call it home...

What Are You Grateful For Today ~

 What separates privilege from entitlement is
 gratitude.  Wear gratitude like a cloak, and 
it will feed every corner of your life...

When they say life is not fair some people sure know
 exactly what this means  Yesterday Arvid and I were 
out touring San Juan. We walked around some shops 
and checked out a few things. In one of the gift 
shops we met a woman from England.


 Of course I started talking to her and before
 you knew it we had a picture of what her life has
 been since hurricane Maria hit the island. 

She has now been living in PR for 13 years, and
was doing really well.  Good job good home, and a 
comfortable life.  Maria came.  Destroyed her home. 
She lost her job because there was no job to go


 She used all her savings while looking f
or a job.
 Savings are all gone, but she found a job in a gift shop. 
She said she was so grateful for this job and 
that suddenly life is looking up again.

She like so many lost everything yet she was pleasant,
 helpful, cheerful, and positive about her outlook in life. 
Today once again I am grateful and thankful even though
 sometimes I think that life has not been fair to me, 


Then I hear about the “other” side and I realize 
once again that I may not have everything I
 want, but I sure have everything I need.

Friday here again. This has been one very rainy week,
 and today does not seem to be any different, but on the
 other hand all of our Friday outings have had rain.


Every so often we should all take a reality check and
 be thankful and grateful for all the blessings we have
 in our lives, for what we do not realize is that what 
we take for granted someone else is praying for.


An attitude of gratitude. This is not only a great rhyme
 but a great way to live. You should always be grateful
 for the things you have. Thankful for everything big
 and small  that fill your life and make it special.

Don’t pray when it rains if you don’t 
pray when the sun shines. We can choose 
to be grateful no matter what...

Monday September 7th ~ New Week Again ~

Life happens.  There is no point in being upset or
 down about things we can't control or change...

As the new week begins I wonder what it holds for us.


They say that every good thing that has happened in 
your life happened because something changed.


Island life is not bad at all.  Still getting used to it.


Life happens to all of us.  It's not what happens to us,
 but how we respond to what happens to us that really decides
 if we're going to be victims or if we're going to get and
 have everything we've ever dreamed about...

Sunday May 24th ~

The world is on a bumpy journey.  
Maybe it's time to find a new normal...

Life is returning to "normal" a new normal that is.
  As Arvid and I went driving yesterday, we checked
 out some restaurants.  We wanted to see what it.


Life is returning to Fort Lauderdale. 
 People were out, people were laughing.  People 
were having fun.  Sooner or later it had to happen. 
 One cannot stay cooped up forever.


Restaurants are officially open, and I would 
love to go, but for now I think we will continue to
 wait it out a bit longer.  Mr. Cautious thinks it's the
 best thing to do. I will agree with him for now.


The beaches are quiet, and it's being guarded by
Fort Lauderdale's best.  Come Tuesday, the beaches
will be reopening and gone will be the quiet times.


It was good to see restaurants with people again.
  Life is surely returning.  Normal is no longer normal,
but whatever the new normal is, it's starting to look good
already.  Hope soon Arvid and I will be sitting out having
 a meal and enjoying this "new" experience again 😋🍹.


Good morning everyone.  The day is currently
 a little on the dark gloomy side.  It is raining again,
but hopefully it should clear up later on. 


Happy Sunday all and this is going to be another
great week ahead.  Life is returning to South Florida.

The new normal is to always
 be better than your old normal...

Friday April 3rd ~ Lockdown Continues

A life lived in fear is a life half lived. Worry 
is like a rocking chair: It gives you something
 to do but never gets you anywhere...

There is extra time now to enjoy the simple things in
life.Today more than any other time in our lives, we 
have the time.  I know it is the same everywhere
 in the world these days.  Not a bad thing at all.

Not everything during these times is bad. 

Yesterday was my birthday.  I am a very fortunate person. 
 I am grateful to everyone who reached out to me.  Be it 


by phone, text or card.  I appreciate it all and will never 
take anyone of you for granted.  Again thank you.


The card above with Sniff was sent to me by my mom. 
 She made it look like Sniff sent it to me.  Every year Sniff 
"sends" me a card.  There is no one like my mom. She did
 the same when Brutus was alive.  I love you mommy.


This has been one of my best birthdays.  I am thankful 
and I am still smiling.  I think I am LOVED 😇.

Friday.  Arvid and I started our semi isolation on March 9th.
  This is the day we returned from Puerto Rico, but more
rigidly as of March 18th.  Seems so very long ago.


Hoping like everyone, to see this coronavirus pandemic
come to an end soon.  It's been  a long time, and I know we
 have long stretch still ahead of us.  Be safe everyone.
  Protect yourselves, protect others.  Stay home.


Wishing everyone a happy day.  Remember often
 when you think you're at the end of something,
 you're at the beginning of something else.

Mondays ~ New Week Begins Again

Time goes on. So whatever you’re
 going to do, do it. Do it now. Don’t wait...

Starting the new week with the ones I love, Brutus,
 Shadow, Sniff and Arvid.  Just because of that, it is going 
to be an excellent week.  I may not have everything 
I want, but I sure have exactly what I need. 


Pretty soon we will be going back to Puerto Rico.
  As Arvid says, "finally" We were not sure we would be
 going back so soon after our last trip in January, but
 after a few weeks Arvid was ready to go again. 


 Like I always say, I will enjoy his PR high for as
long as it lasts.  I have a sister there so for me it's all
 good, plus I love the island and I love the food.


We always try to make sure our Sunday outings have
views and ambiance.  Yesterday was all about the food
 and the views.  One of or favorite places in Miami Beach.


 Was a happy and delicious day.  Making this another
great start of the week.  Hello Monday.  Let's do this.

Be Happy ~

It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is. As long as 
we are together, it will always be a beautiful day...

Sunset yesterday from our balcony. 
Yes, we are loving being back home.


As I was working on my laptop, Sniff grabbed 
the opportunity to sit on it when I got up.  He loves laptops
 for some reason.  Every chance he gets he sits on it.


Yesterday as I was making lunch, some of the grease
 from the pan splattered, and went straight onto my face. 
 I now have 5+ burn marks on my face and the largest 
one is a big dot right on the center of my forehead. 


Not bothered by them.  Hopefully they will fade, 
otherwise I will just add them to the many scars 
I have already accumulated.  It is what it is.

Yesterday afternoon/evening we had our first walk 
since coming back to Florida.  As we were walking, 
we noticed a lot of new construction everywhere.


 Both Arvid and I looked at each other and said, 
"just like Chicago"  You can tell we always have Chicago
 in our minds, even though we are happy to be home.

In Florida we are experiencing higher than usual King Tides.
King Tides are technically called “perigean spring tides,”
 but they occur in both the spring and fall seasons.


 In fact, the highest tides in southeast Florida occur in the
 fall, in part because the water is warmer and the seasonal 
winds drive water levels higher at that time of year.


The streets are flooded in many areas.  Cars are flooded
 and people in some parts even use canoes to get
 around.  They say it is only going to get worse.

Yesterday "our" Azimut came back.  It's usually 
parked in front of our apartment from October to May.
  In May it goes home to Texas.  For now we will be 
enjoying the shenanigans of the "boat life"


It's still very early here.  Arvid is sound asleep 
as it should be.  Sniff is awake with me, just 
roaming around the place.  Everyone is happy.

 Good Morning! I hope your day is as positive 
as you are. Happy thoughts are the only cure for
 a sleepy morning… Nothing is impossible when you
 put your mind, heart, soul, and sweat into it.


Although time seems to fly, it never travels faster
 than one day at a time. Each day is a new opportunity
to live your life to the fullest. In each waking day, you will 
find scores of blessing and opportunities for positive change. 
Do not let your today be stolen by the unchangeable 
past or the indefinite future! Today is new day!...

Friday~ Long Weekend Ahead

I've learned that people will forget what you said,
 people will forget what you did, but people
 will never forget how you made them feel...

Friday has started out pretty good already. 
The Intracoastal Waterways is buzzing with life 
and we are enjoying the view from our balcony.


Sniff is still on his bed, and does not want to get up 
as yer, but even so he is also taking peeks at the boats. 
 He has a good life and he's a very  happy boy.


This amazing Guitar shaped Hotel coming up 
at The Hard Rock Casino will soon be open.  Scheduled 
grand opening for October 2019.  It is a one
 of a kind, and I cant wait to check it out.

This guitar-shaped hotel soars 450 feet into the sky,
 an extravagant glass structure no one can miss.  Arvid 
and I have been passing it quite a few times and as
 much as I have tried I can't seem to get a great/good
 picture.  For now.  Below is the one I took:

I still don't feel good.  Yesterday I went to Urgent Care. 
 Diagnosis: bronchitis and Asthma.  Well go figure.  
I have never had asthma.  Now I am stocked with all
 sorts of "goodies" one being an inhaler.  Yikes!

Arvid does not know what to do. He see's me coughing,
 and it sorta freaks him out, so when he came back
home yesterday he brought me a little treat.  


Made him feel better and made me smile.  He's 
such a good person, you just have to know him.  We have
 had some beautiful days.  Very hot, but no rain.

life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you 
need to be able to throw something back...
