Man starts over again everyday, in 
spite of all he knows, against all he knows...

Yesterday two of our previous tenants called me.  

It was nice to talk to them and to catch up on some 

Branson news.  Like everywhere else the news 

was not good.  There is hardship everywhere.

When I ran Almost Home I started this box, pictured 

above where the tenants donated the items they did not need 

and took something they needed.  That tradition is still

 going on, and to this day it has fed many in need.

As Arvid and I do our daily walks it is becoming 

more and more "normal" to see people wearing masks.

  Many of these wear it even when walking alone.

  I am not sure what to make of this.  My thought 

is, you're in the fresh air and you're all alone,

 so again I ask, what am I missing?

Boating is even more popular than ever, and I don't 

mean big boats.  There are smaller boats all over

 the place all day long.  We are never short for

 something to keep us pretty entertained.

On our walk we see some of our usual "friends"  

The furry kind.  No matter what I still have to stop

 and take a picture of them.  Makes me happy.

No day is complete without a picture of Sniff.   He makes

 us happy and we love him.  I cannot picture our lives without

him.  Sniff is love, and he always stays close to us.

Good morning all. A new day is here.  Be grateful
 and thankful that you are able to appreciate it.

Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.

Hello Sunday ~

You can learn many things from children.

 How much patience you have, for instance....

The girls woke up a little before seven this 

morning wanting to go to the toilet.  Both Arvid

 and I got out of bed made sure they were OK.  

After making sure all was good the said they 

wanted to lay down a little more.  Arvid went back

 to bed with Sniff and I well I am always awake. 

 Last night even Arvid did not sleep much.

Unfortunately Sniff and Aleah do not get along.  Sniff 

is good with Vanessa, our youngest granddaughter, 

but somehow as soon as he sees Aleah something

 sets him off.  Little Aleah is terrified.  That made

 Vanesssa scared of Sniff also.  Very, very sad.

Girls are out of the bedroom.  Watching TV.  Time

 to make them some breakfast.  Good morning everyone. 

 Sunday is here.  High alert again here at home, at 

least the girls slept really well.  Happy for that.

You will not get what you want,

Happy Days ~

 Once you replace negative thoughts with positive

 ones, you'll start having positive results...

Yesterday evening Arvid and I were invited to a gallery 

opening of a friend.  Jim is the proud owner of thousands 

of Max Schacknow pencil drawings.  Absolutely beautiful

 pencil drawings.  Quite a few people were there.

Arvid was of course one of the lucky winners of 

the raffle last night.  He won a bottle of wine, and

 believe it or not he had a few offers to trade for it. 

 Someone even offered some cash.  I said no.

I enjoyed the champagne, the cheese and crackers

 and mingling.  Arvid as usual did not try anything, but 

he did chat with everyone.  The Arvid of today has

 blossomed into a social butterfly, compared to

 the Arvid I met some many years ago.

Not sure what the day holds, but if everything goes 

according to plan, my mom and I will be checking

 out a few places.  My dad will be busy watching 

cricket and Arvid as usual is a busy busy bee.

To all a very good day.  Remember, we do not know what

 tomorrow hold, so live life everyday to the fullest.

I am in charge of how I feel and 

today I am choosing happiness...

Monday Again ~

I like to escape to the beach and kind

 of ground myself whenever I can...

When I need some quiet time, nothing like long 

walks along the beach.  Soothes the mind and refreshes

 the soul.  Make you ready to face whatever the day holds.  

That's what it does for me.  It calms and centers me.

A new week begins.  A new month begins. February,
 the month of my sisters birthday. In February there
is everything to hope for and nothing to regret.

Wishing everyone a happy start of the week and a great February.
Even though February is the shortest month of the year, 
sometimes it seems like the longest for many.  

And the wind whispers, "Don't be afraid.  I am here.  Close your eyes,
 smell the salty air, and let the spirit of the ocean move you."...
