Wet Wednesday In Puerto Rico ~

Rain hangs about the place, like a friendly ghost.
if it's not coming down in delicate droplets, then
it's in buckets; and if neither, it tends to
lurk suspiciously in the atmosphere...

Beautiful yet stormy days is what we have been
experiencing for quite some time now.  Arvid and I usually
sit on the balcony in the afternoons, but it's been over
a week now we have not been able to do so 😱

Yesterday we celebrated our 19th Anniversary at home.
Very nice and quiet.  It rained all day long so we just stayed in.
Arvid watched some soccer and I enjoyed a little reading.

The sun never showed up yesterday.  Today not
looking any better, but like I am usually told, at least
it's warm.  Yes, it is warm.  Very much so 🌞

I have been lucky that in the mornings when I go out to
walk it is not raining heavily.  At least not when I start out.
I enjoy my walks, but also I have to go because
the kitties are waiting for their food 🐈🍤.

Yesterday I managed to give them food before the
torrential rains began.  Yes, I got soaked, but didn't matter.
They were fed and happy as was I.  I don't mind the
rain as long as my phone is protected 📱.

With all of this rain, Arvid is creating chores to do
while we stay in.  He has to always stay busy.  Me too.
Also the grounds are so fertile right now that beautiful
🍄 mushrooms are growing.  I wonder if they are edible.

Arvid is a happy camper.  Sometimes when he
watches soccer he takes a little snooze.  And I'm right
there to capture the moment.  He's not always thrilled
about it, but I am.  The look on his face is priceless.

More rain awaits us, but if we were back home in
Fort Lauderdale it won't be any different.  In fact Fort
Lauderdale has had 86.57 inches of rain in 2020which
is already 24.39 inches more than a normal year.

A man walks a flooded street in his Fort Lauderdale
neighborhood Monday. Tropical Storm Eta caused
severe flooding in South Florida in areas already
saturated from previous downpours.  No bueno.

As of right now, Miami and Fort Lauderdale have shattered
annual rainfall totals. Residents walk a flooded street to reach
their homes,  Monday, Nov. 9, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale,

There is a new tropical storm hovering around the area.
All this means is that the rain is not yet over.  Wishing
everyone a happy Wednesday.  Hopefully dryer than what
we are having.  Now it's time for some dry weather again.

A single gentle rain makes the grass many shades greener...

Friday Vibes In Puerto Rico ~

If a fellow isn't thankful for what he's got, he isn't
likely to be thankful for what he's going to get...

Our day is already starting to look good. Sniff has been fed,
brushed and played with.  Now he is just relaxing in the morning
sunshine.  Getting one of those famous cat-naps. He is one of
those happy boys.  he's getting more used to his new home.

Yesterday Arvid and I ventured out again to the beach area.
We have decided that we will be checking out all the little
restaurants in the area.  Not fancy at all.  Many look like
a shack, but the food is something else.  In each of these
so called "shacks" you can find all your favorite 🍹
frozen drinks.  Made as you wait.  We love, love it.

Today we go to San Juan.  Happy about that because
every time we go is another chance to meet up with my
sister and Kimsy.  I love the fact that I am close to my sister.

Fajardo, where we live has all we need, but if you want
nightlife, shopping and a few extras, San Juan is where you want
to be.  We like it here because it's quiet and almost no traffic.

Good morning all.  The weekend is soon upon us,
and here in Puerto Rico we can enjoy life a little more.
We have enjoyed eating out again and we love the
blue turquoise Caribbean waters that surround us 💙.

Things turn out best for people who make the best
of the way things turn out.  In life, one has a choice
to take one of two paths: to wait for some special
day--or to celebrate each special day...

Tuesday June 16th ~

Some people feel the rain, others just get wet...

By the end of yesterday not did it only rain,
but it rained like crazy.  Thunder and lightning.
First the sky started turning very dark ⧭.

Soon after the rain cam down like never before.
With it came thunder and lightning.  This lasted for
quite some time.  Summertime in Florida 🤣.

I told Arvid it was a good time to get the broom
and clean the balcony never thinking he would actually
do it.  He does not like the rain, but he did get the broom,
and he did sweep.  Now the balcony is clean again.

While all of this was going on, I was making
sure I got lots of pictures and videos.  In the videos
you can hear the thunder going on and on 🗲🌩.

Not sure what kind of a day awaits us.  With the
unpredictability of this weather nothing is for sure.
Yesterday because of all the rain, Arvid and I walked in
the garage.  We went up and down the 5 levels a few times.
Not bad, but always better with our "real" walks.

Last night the colors in the sky kept changing all the time.

Arvid as usual is always relaxed.  No matter what's
going on.  He cool as a cucumber, while Sniff and I are
in constant movement.  They say opposites attract.

A new day begins.  Always make the most of every
opportunity that presents. And yesterday as the sun sets..

Each new day has a different shape to it.  You just roll with it...
