A Waiting Game...

After you find out all the things that can go wrong,
your life becomes less about living and more about waiting...

As if going to the doctors office is not bad enough, waiting to get the results
of your tests ares even worse.  Right before Christmas I had a general check up.  Nothing
very wrong just a lack of certain vitamins and a few things here and there. All corrected
by proper diet and a few medications all good and dandy.

Of course they tell you everything is good, but on the next sentence they kind of scare the
living daylights out of you as well.  Good thing I am not the type to panic.  Then they tell you
to take a few more tests.  Blood work...this and that and promise you the results would be
on so and so date.  So far so good.  Well finally I called for the results, because no one called me.

I got hold of the receptionist and they have no clue as to who I am.  Not so promising
all of a sudden.  She could not find me in their system.  Claims I did not see so and so doctor,
but on the day I saw the doctor they did not forget to collect a huge sum of money from me.

Definitely something wrong with the medical system.  Finally after telling her my name
a few times, more like five times she said she would have to check into it and call me back.
Not being the patient type it was very difficult for me to not get upset.  All I said was,
"so you're telling me you have no record of me being there, even though you
collected money from me and made me fill out an entire questionnaire?"

Five hours later still had not heard from them so I called back and was told
once again that they will call me back.  Before this I was not stressed, now after
all the waiting I began to get a little stressed out. Close to 6pm I gave up on getting a call
back, but the weirdest thing happened.  I had a call from both doctors one right after the other.

All I can say is that I was happy.  One of the doctors even made the call
himself.  Now that's what I call service.  Will now have to see what happens.
Like they say, "if you know the enemy and know yourself,
you need not fear the results of a hundred battles."

Good morning everyone.  You know what they say,

First the doctor told me the good news.
I was going to have a disease named after me...
