Friday September 9th ~

We need quiet time to examine our lives openly
and honestly - spending quiet time alone gives your mind
an opportunity to renew itself and create order...

We never actually stopped at Rosie's diner in
Colorado, but we did pass through Aurora, which
is where the diner is located.  I love these "old" looking
diners.  Totally different vibe 😍full of character.

Yesterday both Arvid and I just took it easy.
A quiet day at home with Sniff. There is always
soccer so for Arvid not a bad time.  Me all I did
was grocery shopping and house cleaning.

Friday. No plans today. Quiet time at home with a movie.
Probably a little music and a drink @ the bar. Right here
at home.  Seems like we are constantly on the move.

It’s good to stay put for a while now. Wishing everyone
a good weekend from now.  The wildlife is doing great.
I finally did see big Gerald so I’m very relieved.  Was
starting to wonder where the big blubber took off to.

It's nice and quiet right now.  The wild life has been fed,
Sniff has been brushed and Arvid still asleep.  Life has
it's beautiful moments, and I love these right now.

I read this this morning: once you feel avoided by someone,
never disturb them again.  Sounds harsh, but who knows.

I love that quiet time when nobody's up and
the animals are all happy to see me...

Thursday September 8th ~

Never regret a day in your life: good days give
happiness,  bad days give experience, worst days
give lessons, and best days give memories...

Sniff and I woke up, looked out the window and who was there?
None other than Mr. Squirrel eating all the bird seeds.  It's been a
while since he has climbed up the deck for foodies.  This time I
did not chase him right away.  I let him enjoy some nibbles.

The birds do keep me entertained.  Sometimes
I believe  more than they do Sniff.  Arvid of course could
care less.  Says he has enough to do.  I tell him sometimes
it's OK to take time and enjoy the little things
in life instead of always being so busy.

No matter how busy I am, I always find time to
enjoy a few of life's  pleasures.  Even when we were
working almost 10 hour days at Almost Home, I made
time to brush Sniff twice a day and to make sure all the
birdies and wildlife were fed.  I makes me happy.

I now realize that I have also grown attached to my wildlife friends.
One day when we have to leave it will also be difficult for me,
but I also know that we will be back every year, so that in a way
makes it OK.  My PR kitties I will never see them again.

I do have my Sniff and he makes me happy.  I love him and
thankful everyday that he came into our lives.  That being said, the
other day I picked up my Lil Mysulf.  He has on Brutus' clothes.

I tried to smell them but there was no longer any of Brutus'
scent on them.  Suddenly I was back to grief in full swing.  I cried
so hard that Sniff was scared.  I didn't/don't want Sniff scared.

As always it's good to be back home.  As I always
say, No matter how far we travel the memories will
follow in the baggage car.  Home is always best.

A few of the highlights from Greeley, Colorado:

We drove 12 hours and my most favorite part of the trip
was our first evening at Rio Grande Mexican restaurant.

It's good to be back home.  No matter where we go home is best.
Sniff lost not time is getting comfy.  We are all happy.

Remember how far you've come, not just how
far you have to go. You are not where you want to be,
but neither are you where you used to be...

Wednesday September 7th ~

No one is perfect, that's why pencils have erasers...

I miss this little dude already and can't wait to see his
little face and to pick him up.  I love my Sniff more and more
with each passing day, and I really am not liking the idea
of leaving him home alone.  Even for a couple of days.

Homewards bound and could not be any happier.  Have a great day all.

At the end of the day, if I can say
I had fun, it was a good day...

Good Luck Kimsy 💙 September 6th ~

I love her for her brilliant mind and kind heart....

Today Kimsy is having a minor surgery in Puerto Rico.
I really miss that girl and her mom, my sister Nirvana.💙
Good luck Kimsy.  Uncle Arvid and I love you very much
and look forward to seeing you one of these days again.

Thinking of you and just know you are loved,
and everything is gonna be all right.  Hope you have
a lot of ice-cream 🍨 waiting for you at home  😀

Kimsy when I think of you I smile and my heart fills with love.
Let your kind heart be the very thing others remember you by.

Good morning everyone.  Greetings from Colorado.

The world that we live in is a harsh one and bad
things are always going to happen, but do not let the
world take away your genuine and kind heart...

Monday September 5th ~

If we were meant to stay in one place,
we'd have roots instead of feet...

These lyrics by Willie Nelson at times best describes
the life Arvid and I have.  It's not for everyone😂

On the road again. Just can't wait to get on the road again.
Goin' places that I've never been.  Seein' things that I may
never see again. And I can't wait to get on the road again.

Yes, Arvid and I are on the road again and going places
we have never been  We are heading to Colorado.  The
closest I’ve been to  Colorado was when I lived in California
and worked as a flight attendant.  We flew into Vail,
Aspen and Telluride.  It was always a working trip.

Today is the culmination of a three day weekend.
Labor Day weekend.  traditionally observed on the first
Monday in September. Labor Day pays tribute to the
contributions and achievements of American workers, and
it also signifies the end of summer.  Fall is on it's way.

Good day to all and as someone said, "Follow your
passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and,
above all, don't let anyone limit your dreams."

and hands, but for using them...

Sunday September 4th ~

Life is not measured by time. It is measured by moments...

Way to early to be awake.  Not even Sniff is awake.
On the good side it is very quiet and peaceful right now.

Arvid and I had a little Saturday outing.  Of course we chose to go
to The Landing.  A beautiful spot, even more so in the evenings.

Being Labor day weekend, there was a free concert,
and the crowd was happy.  It was a pretty amazing night.
The crowd, the music, the show.  Was all good.

The music was going and at the same time the Fountain show
was also going on.  The sky was lit up with all different colors.

Labor Day weekend marks the end of the summer and the start of the school year

Both Arvid and I really had a good time.  I think I would
like to go back next weekend for a little more of this vibrancy.

This year for Labor Day weekend more than 12.6 million
passengers are expected to pass through the nation's
airports between Thursday and tomorrow Monday.

According to Hopper's research, the most booked
destinations include las Vegas, Denver, and Atlanta.
Interesting choices if I may say.  Aside from Vegas, the
other two destinations would not have been on my list.

Good morning all.  I plan to go back to bed now just like Sniff and Arvid.

To those moments when the night is just starting, when you know
you're about to get into trouble. It feels so good, the beginning...

Saturday September 3rd~

Trust the timing of everything.  Just because it's not
happening right now doesn't mean it never will...

Two Wednesday's in a row now that Arvid and I
were supposed to take Chris, the new guy at Almost Home
to listen to music.  Unfortunately the venue was cancelled
on both Wednesdays.  Not enough people to cover
the expenses of putting on the show.

Our next try to get to see the show is not next Wednesday,
but hopefully on the 14t of September if all goes well.   As
Derrick said to Arvid, “I will do everything possible to
make it happen.”  Hope so. Derrick is a nice guy
and we enjoyed a couple of his shows before.

Already Saturday. The week is almost done and next
week will go by fast too.  September is already looking
busy.  Yesterday we took Chris and Debbie for lunch.
Chris’ birthday is on Sunday.  Sunday belongs
to us 😍, as Arvid likes to say to me all the time.

I have not seen big Gerald for at least 4 days. Of course
I’m frantically looking for him.  I still leave him his
foodies but I don’t see him 😢. Someone for sure is
eating his food. Either lil Gerald or baby Gerald.  I've
grown accustomed to his face and now miss him.

Aside from that, all the wildlife is doing well.  I have
seen mama deer and her two babies again.  The neighbor
keeps trying to get me involved in a skincare program.
Rodan + Fields.  I’m sure it’s good.  I have tried it,
only problem is that it’s a regimen and I’m not
good at following a cleansing routine 😔
Soccer is always o so Arvid is happy.

I'm just not good at having a set regimen for anything.
I do things my way and for that there is no set rules 😂

Good morning to all and let this be a month to sparkle.

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain
way to succeed is always to try just one more time...

Friday September 2nd ~

Don't expect anyone to understand your journey,
especially if they've never walked your path...

The boys have been warming up since yesterday in
preparation for some quality time @ the bar.  Right here at home.
Only thing missing is the jukebox.  That's in storage in Florida.

Sniff has his own barstool, just like Arvid and I.
Together we always have good times @ the bar.

Day two of this September 2022.  It's going to be a
good month.  Both my sister Nirvana, and our nephew Sachin
were born in September. Makes for a good start already.
Happy birthday in advance to Nirvana and Sachin.

Good morning to all.  Let’s strive to be better in September.

Happiness comes when we stop complaining about the troubles
we have and say a thank you for all the troubles we don't have...

September 1st ~DONE

Wake up every morning that something wonderful is about to happen...

September can be a bit melancholy. It feels like the last
burst of summer before the light fades. It's a transitional
month many look forward to throughout the year

Kids are back in school, and the grown-ups are (possibly)
reinvigorated after vacation. We slowly put away our linen
outfits and pull the layers out of our closets, watch the
leaves gradually turn from green to golden, and
make plans for the upcoming holiday season.

September, the fall is approaching and before you
know it winter follows.  One of the most favorite seasons
of many...Fall.  We love the coolness in the air and the display
of natures colors.  I look forward to all of this as well.

Before we know it, the time rolls around to carve our pumpkins
and then the turkey before heading down to the farm to chop down
the perfect tree. Somehow, September represents summer's farewell
and the cheerful introduction to full-on autumn festivities.

Wishing everyone a September to remember.  Make it an amazing one.

Life is choice. You can choose to be who you dream to
be or not to be. It all lies in the choice you make every day.

Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go...
