Yesterday...

Friends make the bad times good and the good times unforgettable...

Yesterday started out fairly nice, then we had a a little bump on the way.  The day was sort of gloomy and very wet looking so that did not do much to lighten up our spirits.  Eventually of course we started to relax and do what we do best, try and have a good time.  Arvid and I went out a bit touring his hometown and checking out all the new stuff around.

Quite a bit has happened in the two years we have been here.  The one thing that does not change is Arvid's antique cell phone.  He refuses to give it up even though he was offered a new one.  That's Arvid if something works why change it.  Love him for it.

As the afternoon wore on I suggested to him we invite Michelle and Emil to dinner; something we wanted to do, but was just waiting for the right moment.  To my delight and his we had a wonderful time with them.  This is the first time (and hopefully not last) that we have been out with them on their own as a couple. They are adorable.  She and Emil are just too cute together.  Very relaxed, calm  and conversation was interesting and everyone had a god time.  Michelle has grown into a wonderful young woman.  Serene, practical and very calm.  Knowing her since she was seven one can see the changes.

Arvid's eldest daughter Victoria usually visits the US for quite a while and we always have many outings with her and her boyfriend so it was nice to have the same with Michelle and Emil.  Hopefully will have some more.  It's nice to get to know them as a couple also.

We took them out to dinner.  Then we went out to have dessert.  Michelle loves a certain dessert at a certain place so it was a must.  Arvid and Emil had a few beers and I enjoyed my coffee.  We were all happy, relaxed and all I can say is that we had a perfect time.

Today looking forward to see what the day holds
Hope yours is good.
