Boats & Manatees....

I have learnt that it is the sweet simple things in
life which are after all the real ones.  Life moves pretty fast.
If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it....

As I mentioned in an earlier blog post, February is the month we see the most Manatees.
Just these past few days we have spotted over 50 of them.  Most are far away so
not quite able to get a good picture, but just yesterday there was close to
10 of them swimming away and luckily we were standing right on our
balcony and  was able to get a few pictures of them.

Still not the clearest as can be, but nonetheless pretty amazing sight as far as I am concerned.
I feel very lucky that we can see these amazing creatures so frequently.  Happy!

I don't often forget how fortunate I am in life, but every so often I may take it for granted.
Nothing in life is guaranteed and from personal experience I will tell you all enjoy
everyday to its fullest.  Live it with passion and with zest because you never
know when in a blink of the eye it is gone.   Nothing is guaranteed!

Yesterday my sister called me.  Not the kind of call you want.  Se told me that so and so was
dead.  Not family of ours, but I knew this person.  I know the kids and I know the wife. My
sister of course knows them really well.  I only happened to meet them while visiting her
many years ago.  Why it affected me the way it did I can't explain.

All I know is that after talking to my sister I was crying.  I was crying for the loss that that
family is now going through and  I think part of me was crying for another loss.  Arvid
said to me, "you did not even really know this person and I think you are taking
it worse than anyone."  It has affected me more than I can understand.

Making the day even more special, we spotted a man in a canoe and an iguana in the
water at the same time.  The guy was taking a picture of the Iguana and I was
taking a picture of both of them.  Pretty interesting what one sees everyday.

The parade of boats is amazing and I can't seem to stop taking pictures.
Life is good and I am enjoying it and appreciating it everyday.
I am thankful for the simple pleasures in life.

To all have a good day.  Make it count and my wish for you
is that you may always live in interesting times.  Today and always.
If today is your birthday, have a great one as well.

The truth is you never know what is going to happen tomorrow.
Life is a crazy ride and nothing is guaranteed....
