Friday April 12th~

Happiness is seeing life for
what it is in all the little moments...

Sniff is not ready to face the day.  Says it's a little
too early.  He's already had his breakfast and his brushing.
Time for another nap.  Can never have too many naps.

Yesterday Arvid and I opened up quite a few boxes.  This
will not be as easy as first thought.  There are over 200
boxes and we didn't get close to looking into most of them.
We did a little reorganizing.  Again.  Got our workout in 😊

Yesterday I saw a picture shared by Heather Ann on
Facebook of what the pier in Fort Myers Beach looked like
before Hurricane Ian.  We all hope that one day it is rebuilt.

We have no definite plans yet for the day, depending on the
weather we may or may not go for a little stroll downtown.
To all a very happy Friday and happy weekend ahead.

August 1st -

What you're looking for is not out there, it is in you...

The start of a new month, and a new week at the same time.
It’s been nine months since we left Puerto Rico, and eight
months since we have been living in Branson.  It’s been a
heck of a roller coaster, but as always we did well and as
Arvid likes to say, “we came out smelling like a rose.”

Out of those eight months in Branson, Arvid had to
go to Norway for a month.  A week after Arvid came back
we had to take back Almost Home Lodge.  Let’s just say the
keys were just left with a note saying, “call Nadiya.”

Three and a half months after taking over Almost Home
we acquired some investors/partners.  Giving us free
time; which was why we came to Branson.  To enjoy
the quiet lifestyle.  We have it again and look forward
to doing some of the things we said we would do.

Life sure is unpredictable, but you just give it your
best shot come what may.  Today Arvid, Sniff and I are
once more enjoying some relaxed times, discovering a
few “new” places. Arvid loves anything Real Estate and
each “new” place we discover seems to open up options
to him.  Now he wants a house on the lake 😁

Of course at the time the idea is cool, but I do not want to move
again.  I want one place to call home.  No one has moved more
than Arvid and I.  Not fun anymore. Exhausting. This was home.
I loved it and miss it.  We'll be back before winter hits.

If this were a “normal” summer Arvid and I would be
in Norway.  Enjoying time with family.  So far nothing about
these last few months has been “normal”  August.  We look
forward to a few weekend trips. Exactly what we talked
about when we choose to come back to Branson 🎶

The weather is getting better. I enjoy my wildlife
surroundings, at the same time I look forward to
hopefully being in warmer climate this winter.

Wishing everyone a great month. My sister Nirmala,
Victoria and my friend Anna all have birthdays in August.
Just because of that, it is already a very good month.
Happy birthday in advance to all three of you.

Remember a negative mind will never give
you a positive live.  Focus on the good, for there
is always something good in everyday.

Friday July 29th~

Often, in the real world, it's not the
smart that get ahead but the bold...

Arvid and I did venture out of our "safe" restaurants
and "discovered" a new place.  Surprisingly not that far
from where we live.  Little did we know that there is
a whole lot going on just beyond our doorsteps.

On another note, yesterday I saw a snap from
both Victoria and Michael, yeah the same one's with
the pool house.  She also being Arvid’s eldest daughter.

Well let's just say the snap took me back to summers
at their place.  They always prepare a seafood feast.  You
will NEVER find this in a restaurant.  I miss it right now.

The cherries were picked from their backyard as
in acres of backyard.  They also have apples, plums
and pears among other fruit. This was from just one
of their many cherry trees.  I'm NOT jealous 😛

Today will be a quiet day.  Lunch at home and a movie on Netflix.
Yes, definitely snacks and my most favorite, a Pepsi.  I'm happy.

Let's remember that our attitude towards life determines life's
attitude towards us.  After a while negativity just wears you down and
those around you.  Life is too short to only focus on the negative.

The secret of success is to be ready when your opportunity comes...

Sunday August 8th ~

No matter what yesterday was like,
birds always start the new day with a song...

Sundays are our take it easy day.  Just like most of our
days 😂, but somehow it seems a little more relaxed that
our usual weekdays. Also, I don't go out walking at 5:50 in
the mornings 😟  This makes me always a little sad.

Not much planned.  Usual Sunday outing 💛.
Soccer has begun so now our outings will be
based on soccer's schedule, but that's OK.

Arvid has something to do, and I have alone
time to do what I like.  Happy both of us.  Maybe
I can even go see my sister one of these days on
my own while a game is going on 🙏😍

Don't make things too complicated. Try to relax,
enjoy every moment, get used to everything...

Early Start ~

Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise...

All I can say is that it is way too early even for me to be awake.
Sniff had his brushing and petting, but even for him it was a little to early
 to
indulge in foodies.  After a little cuddling he went off back to the
warmth of is bed.   I am still awake.  Enjoying the quietness
and my cafe.  Would definitely prefer to be asleep though.

Not exactly sure why I am awake this early.  A few
days ago I had the flu shot.  All seemed good, but since
yesterday it
feels as if I am getting the flu all over again.

Hopefully I am mistaken and it is just allergies
causing me to sneeze all day and all night long.

Good morning everyone.  It may have not been my choice
to be awake this early, but as they say: purpose is an incredible alarm clock.

You did not wake up today to be mediocre...

Monday Again ~

Rise up and attack the day with enthusiasm...

The weekend was great.  Weather was perfect. Almost shorts and t-shirt time.
Made for a very welcoming change after what we had a week ago.

Compared to our families, we were doing pretty good in the weather department.
Last night we had a heavy rainstorm with tornado warnings for many places.
Luckily we are OK.  Will see how the hotel fared later in the morning.

The weekend also saw us taking out our maintenance/office couple and their
two boys to dinner.  The chicken wings were a hit and even Arvid had dessert.
Here in Branson, Arvid seems to be enjoying much more of a variety in his meals.

If you haven't as yet.  Please check out my nephew's page.
Tie Dye Manatee   Hope your weekend was a great one, and that the week
ahead is an amazing one.  I am ready and looking forward to what it may bring.

For the next month and a half my parents are enjoying life in The Sunshine State.
They once called it home, just like two of my other sisters, but though they
like it in the winter they do not seem too keen to move back permanently.

It's a new day and the grind continues.
It's Monday, time to sparkle and shine...

Happy Day ~

We couldn't have been happier- it's
great news when you get that phone call...

To all a very good Friday.  It's cold, but it is a wonderful
day here for us in Branson.  Life is just getting better and better.
Little by little our goals are being met.  Happy day.
