Monday November 21st

I heard it's snowing this week.  But I'm in
Florida, so that's none of my business...

It's been a little on the "cold" side the last few days.
Boy how did we get so wimpy?  In Branson yes it was cold,
but we never had time to complain about it.  Now we do πŸ˜‚

Today Arvid's schedule is fully booked.  That is, he has a lot
of soccer games going on.  It's going to be very interesting to see
how many he can watch at the same time.  So far he has been
watching 2-3 at the same time, and yes he has missed most
of the goals.  He had to watch them in replay ⚽

A few doctor's appointments this week.  My days are
now filled with doctors appointments.  Whatever we need
to do has to be scheduled around my appointments πŸ™ˆ.

To all a very good week ahead.  For many it's a 3 day
work week.  Thanksgiving is right around the corner.

Yesterday I had a few rough moments.  Suddenly without
any warning my heart was missing my PR kitties and I let myself
"indulge" in some pictures and videos of them.  Not good.  Though
I save them in my phone, I rarely look at them.  It still hurts. I
cannot bring myself to delete them either.  Maybe one day I might
be okay doing it.  Not today.  It's still very raw in my heart πŸ’”.

Sunday November 20th ~

You can make mistakes, but you aren't a failure
until you start blaming others for those mistakes...

Downtown Fort Myers.  Always a happy time.  Lively people everywhere.

Yesterday we checked out a place in Punta Gorda.
We arrived to a wedding in place.  An Indian wedding
which has to be the most colorful and beautiful celebration
when done right.  We didn't see the actual wedding just the
bride and groom in the car and.  Indians know how to party.

The tiki bar we went to yesterday had an island vibe.
Pity it was so windy and I was really cold.

The cold sure didn't stop me from enjoying my meal.

Nor did it stop us from looking around and enjoying the views.

The Fifa World Cup games begin today.   It is taking place in Qatar
from November 20th to December  18th 2022. This is the first World Cup
to be held in the Arab world, and the second World Cup held entirely
in Asia after the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.
As Arvid said "I will be busy for a while."  He loves soccer.

Was awake very early again today.  Like it.  It's quiet and Sniff is by my side.

Good morning to all and let the games begin.

You can't go back and change the beginning, but you
can start where you are and change the ending...

Saturday November 19th ~

Hope your cup is filled up with smiles,
blessings and happiness today and everyday...

It was just a little too cold to stay out for too long last night,
and on top of it all it was windy.  For some reason when
we are in Branson this "cold" would not bother us.  As
always, the downtown is just a beautiful place.

In fact it would be considered a very beautiful evening.
Which it was except it was cold for SWFL πŸ˜‚  As Arvid
said, "this is a good summer day in Norway."

There was a little of everything, music of course being the
main attraction.  There was a guy on a unicycle and even
the doggies are starting to become familiar to us.

There is always the local "nutcase" preaching that everyone is
going to hell in a handbasket.  I find them amusing, Arvid not so.
Last night Arvid made the mistake of waiting for me right
next to the "nut"  πŸ˜‚and the "nut" preached all things
doomed to Arvid.  Pretty hilarious if you ask me.

I'm not mocking any religion, but when someone says
the "world ended yesterday" that person is a nutcase and should
be in a straight jacket, as far as I am concerned.  He's pretty
harmless, so he serves a better purpose as entertainment.

Still on the "cooler" side right now, but as the day progresses
it is warming up very nicely.  At the end of the day
if I can say I had fun, it was a good day.

Don't ruin a good day today by thinking
about a bad day yesterday.  Let it go...

Friday November 18th ~

The secret to life is knowing how to make the bad
times good and the good times unforgettable...

Once a month we have what's called Music Walk downtown
Fort Myers.  Best part is that we can hear the music from
our balcony and it's just a short walk to get there.
Definitely liking our new neighborhood a lot.

We have already experienced it once already, and it was very good.
We sure made the right move.  As far as the music scene goes,
the Blues has moved more to the West Coast, so have we πŸ˜‚

Waking up to a chilly morning.  Chilly for SWFL that is.  I like it
because I know soon it will warm up.  This year winter came early.  Last
year in Branson we were still sitting outdoors until the end of December.
Now it's 31F (-0.6C) with lows of 21F (-6C).  Way too cold to be there.

Thanksgiving is soon upon us.  Then comes Christmas
and next thing you know it's 2023.  Where did this year go
by so fast?  As my sister said, "2022 you can just buzz off."
Goof morning all and a great weekend to all.  Make it count.

May your weekend be filled with positive thoughts,
 kind people, and happy moments...

Thursday November 17th ~

There is a calmness to a life lived in gratitude, a quiet joy...

Yesterday we drove to Fort Lauderdale.  We started
early in the morning almost three hours after we go to our
destination.  I completely forgot how bad traffic is at that hour.
I sure sympathize with all of you who do this on a daily basis.  It was
not a pleasant start of the day.  Can't imagine doing this everyday.

Returning back home to Fort Myers not not any better.
It took us close to another 3 hours.  A total of six hours driving.
Of course the times we started and returned were not the best.
One thing for sure, the sunset was beautiful.

Once there we could not help but fall in love with the beauty of the
place all over again.  Fort Lauderdale is absolutely a gorgeous place.

For now we like it in Fort Myers.  Yesterday was along
day and at the end of it I told Arvid that this much driving is not
worth it to just go to a favorite restaurant of ours.  Thank
goodness we also had other things to take care of.

To all a very good day.  A late start today, but
the day is still young and it's a beautiful one.

I am thankful for all my life experiences...

Wednesday Novmber 16th ~

Don't rush the process.  Good things take time...

Yesterday I had two doctor's appointments.  One early in the
morning and one early in the afternoon.  For some reason it took
up most of the day between the getting there the waiting and then
being seen.  I spent almost 7 hours between these two visits πŸ˜•

On the good side I am a fast healer and doing really well.
I will begin taking the pill after I'm done with all my radiation
treatments.  Looking at early 2023.  Can't complain.

Arvid continues to stay busy watching boats being lifted
out of the water.  He's getting restless and I can tell bored.
Says if we were in Branson he would have so much to do; but
it is freezing cold right now in Branson.  That is keeping him
from taking a trip there ⛄. I also miss Branson.  I actually enjoy the
life we have there as well, and I look forward to returning next year.
We have many friends there.  More than we have in Florida πŸ˜‚.

Already Wednesday.. Today we have a full day.
Arvid has no reason to be restless, neither do I.  Sniff
on the other hand, well he is another story.

Wishing everyone a day filled with the promise of
good things to come, and a reminder that there
is always something to be grateful for.

is ever as hard as you think...

Tuesday November 15th ~

Just feeling a little blue today.  Not sure why...just am.  Tomorrow
I'll choose to be a different color.  But for today I'm a bit blue...

Somedays I just sit and remember.  Today I saw a little
toy belonging to Brutus and one of Shadow's.  Sniff took turns
playing with them.  In that instant I had a vivid memory of Brutus
and Shadow.  It took me back to another time another place ❤.

I love my Sniff Sniff and I can't imagine what it would be
like to not have him with us, but our Brutus took a part of
me, and Shadow...little Shadow didn't deserve to die.

I've know that when you're feeling sad or a little down,
your thoughts can take you to places you really don't
want to go.  Does not make me unique in any way.
It's life and it happens to all of us.  Like it or not.

I have a couple of doctor appointments today.  Hoping my
surgeon will give me the go ahead so that I can go to a few other
doctors that require her clearing me before I can do certain things.
Key Lime pie makes me feel better.  Food makes me happy.

You were my favorite hello and my hardest goodbye...

Monday November 14th ~ New Week

Never give up on the things that make you smile...

New week and what a good one it is going to be.  At least this
is how I think and what I believe.  What's in store is not know
as yet, but as far as I am concerned it's going to be a good one.

Sniff does not feel the same way.  At least not as yet, he still needs
a little more sleep to be on the same page, but he will get there.

Debris cleanup after Hurricane Ian is a slow job, but the city
works everyday.  Even on Sundays. Little by little it's getting there.

Yesterday one of the restaurants that closed down because
of damage caused by Hurricane Ian reopened.  We were there just
three days before Ian hit and now three days after it reopened.

As the new week begins I wish you all a productive week.
Remember just because things don't always turn out the way
we want, does not mean we stop reaching for those goals.
In fact that is when we strive harder to achieve them.

Work harder than you think you did yesterday...

Sunday November 13th~

Do not let the behaviour of others destroy your inner peace...

Every night when it's time to watch TV, there is always a
little struggle between Arvid and Sniff to see who gets to the chair first.
The "chair" being the one Arvid sits on.  For some reason this is the
only one Sniff wants to be on, and yes, Sniff is always there first.
Arvid as you can see, does his best to squeeze in.

The weekend so far has been filled with soccer games.  Yesterday as
I was on the phone with my sister Rima she heard Arvid screaming.
Of course she knew he was watching soccer.  Rima laughs like
no one.  I love her like crazy.  They all know Arvid so well.

To all a very good day.  Today is Father's Day in Norway.
Arvid after all is Norwegian.  Worth mentioning.  Happy Father's Day
to the man who loves a good nap during the soccer games.

You can't score a goal if you don't take a shot...

Saturday November 12th𝆕 ~

One good thing about music, when it hits you, you
feel no pain. Where words fail, music speaks π†•...

We are back to listening to music π†• and enjoying the little things
in life that makes us happy and keeps us thriving. It's been a long
time coming and since getting back to Florida life had begun to
take "shape" again.  We are doing many of the things we had been
unable to do for so long.  Pandemic and other factors involved.

Last night's venue was in Punta Gorda and was held at the
Women's Book Club because the original venue was destroyed
by Hurricane Ian.  It was music in something like a gym.

Didn't matter the music was good and it just felt good to be out
about about again.  Seems like the Blues π†• has moved more to this
side of town now.  Another reason we are happy with the choice
we made. I'm very surprised that Arvid keeps saying it so often.
This was a sunset from the parking lot yesterday in Punta Gorda.

It's feels like home here in Fort Myers.  Everything is in a
smaller scale compared to Fort Lauderdale.  Don't get me wrong,
Fort Lauderdale is beautiful hands down.  But maybe we are at a certain
age now where we prefer a little more quiet lifestyle.  Believe it or
not as we were driving last night to go to Punta Gorda Arvid said to me,
"you know this could be Branson."   We like our life in Branson as well.

Good morning all and may you always look for something
positive in each day.  We can always find reasons to complain; to
see just the negative.  Many just do that, but if we try, we can also find
something to to brighten each day, no matter how "insignificant" it seems.

Go as far as you can see: when you get
there, you’ll be able to see further...
