Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far
you have to go. You may not be where you want
to be neither are you where you used to be...
Fort Myers has a lot of work in removing the boats that
crashed, were ruined during Hurricane Ian's wrath. Slowly
but surely it is happening. This is from our bedroom window,
and it's what keeps Arvid on the balcony for long periods
throughout the day. Something to see. He misses the being
busy always in Branson, but loves the view we have here.
Everyone is not more relaxed once I was done with surgery and
all went well. Yay! Step one was a total success. My bandages
had no bleeding, and I did not even have to take any pain killers.
I have no pain as of today ๐ Now I feel like a fraud. And on top
of that Arvid is doing everything ๐ I will "fake" it for a couple
of more days. You know the "I can't do any housework thing"
Yesterday we went walking. We checked out Pinchers which
will become our favorite happy hour spot. We did go there one time
since moving, but 5 days after Hurricane Ian put it out of commission.
Boats pile up everywhere, finally some are being removed, Slowly.
Sniff is not getting too much sleep because he's focused on
Arvid's constant movement. Arvid is in perpetual movement.
The man can't sit still, he has to be doing something all the time.
Even wearing me out and making me even more guilty because I am
not doing that much as yet. I did make lunch, but he did the dishes.
Today I plan on taking Arvid out to lunch to give him a break
from housework ๐ Looking forward to having a little more solid
food also. Been having soup the last two days. It's good still have 2
more meals of it that I made before surgery. Will be nice to chew
on some food rather than swallow most of it, as in broth only ๐
To all a good day. All is good here and I have learnt as Ellen Degeneres
says: it is our challenges and obstacles that give us layers of depth and
make us interesting. Are they fun when they happen? No. But they
are what make us unique. And that’s what I know for sure… I think.
The human spirit is stronger than
anything that can happen to it...
