Sunday In Puerto Rico ~

Not all those who wander are lost.  Filly our life with
adventures, not things, have stories to tell, not stuff to show...

Yesterday was full of soccer for Arvid so I decided to go
for a little drive on my own. t first I thought I would go
to the little coffee shop not too far from us.

There are many. Before I knew it Arvid stopped watching
TV and decided to do a Google search for me.๐Ÿ‘€

As I got I’m the car I decided I didn't want to go to no coffee
shop.  I wanted instead to go to the beach. We have been
there before, but I have not done the drive on my own.

I’m not scared of driving in Puerto Rico, but at the
same time I am not as confident as yet ๐Ÿ˜”.  I have told
myself that I need to start getting around on my own.

I do not like to be driven everywhere, no matter
how comfortable that is.  I like my alone time and I
am going to start getting around little by little on my
own in this island that was once home to me ๐Ÿ˜Š

It now seems as if Arvid has been living here forever.  He
knows how to get around and he knows many of the shortcuts
already.  When it comes to directions he’s nothing but amazing ๐Ÿค”
The man knows his way around.  Everywhere we go.

When I got back home, soccer was still going on.
Arvid asks, “ how was the coffee” when I told him I
went to the beach instead he said, “ maybe we
should got there for lunch today”

A small little place right on the beach. Who would say no?
We had just empanadillas, something called sorrullitos
a few drinks and the best flan de coco ever.

Arvid as always said no to dessert, I decided to try
the flan de coco.  Arvid ended up eating most of it.
Whip cream and all.  As he said, “the best flan
I have had.”  It was delicious.

After lunch we drove around a little. Of course there
is always real estate Arvid checks out.  Always fun to
do these things together.  The island is beautiful.

Our drives eventually always lead to the water.
We are happy.  Hopefully this week we go into San Juan.
San Juan is where you find just about everything.

It’s where things happen and where the tourists go.
It has the great restaurants. The hotels, shops and such.
I like where we are but every so often I get restless
because where we are there are really no shops, and I
really do enjoy mailing around every so often.

At home it was my getaway during the long
soccer days.  That was of course before COVID.

We have had a lot of bad weather this week.
Yesterday we actually drove to the restaurant during
a heavy rain. Not an Arvid thing, yet we did ๐Ÿ™ƒ

More soccer today. Coffee shops are closed today ๐Ÿคจ,
but come tomorrow they are once again open. I have
found the coffee shop I will frequent every so often.

Best coffee I have ever had anywhere.  Starbucks and
all those fancy places can never compare to this place.
Aroma Dulce is soon to become my new hangout.
Been the just once but that’s about to change.

To all a very good day.  Here we are still having rain
and very heavy wind.  makes for a cozy time at home ๐Ÿ˜Š

Direction is so much more important than speed.
Some are going nowhere fast. Me time is
 good time.  Relax.  Reflect.  Recharge....
