Time To Leave Again ~ Nov 30th

Moving doesn't change who you are. It only
changes the view outside your window...

It's the place we have called home for the last month.
We have really enjoyed our time here, but once again it's
time to pick up and go. Constantly being on the move.

Sniff is finally adjusted here, unfortunately he will
have to readjust once again.  Not liking this constant
upsetting of his daily routines.   Arvid and I can handle it,
Sniff takes more time.  He did enjoy his time here and
found a few favorite spots.  He always does 😍

Life has been good this last month.  Now to start again.

We have enjoyed being here.  The place Arvid
and I first got together.  Long time ago Arvid owned this
apartment we just rented for the month of November.

Goodbye for now Fort Lauderdale.  Hope to see you soon.

There are far better things ahead than any we leave behind...

Thankful For All The Good Times~

 It's all the little moments
that make life a big adventure...

Our brief stay here was quite enjoyable, and it is
difficult to say goodbye (once again) to the place I call
home.  It will always be home, no matter where life takes us.
I know it's where I want to grow old with Arvid and Sniff.

We've been fortunate to enjoy beach walks and a few of our
favorite beach places.  There is always something going on.

Evenings you see the boats and all the lights.

Mornings.  Can't decide which is more beautiful.  I'll go for both.

Sunsets are stunning.  I will say no matter where we are
the sunrises and the sunsets have been always amazing.

In between of all the work, packing and unpacking, we have
been to a few of our favorite restaurants.  I sure was happy.
We also enjoyed the company of good friends while here,
and look forward to being back for more soon.

We have been fortunate that we saw Nina, David,
Max, Kelsey and Rogue.  Nina and David are also preparing
for a move at the end of December, but family is important and
I was not going to leave without seeing them.  It was strange not
to see Texie, their doggie.  I loved Texie so very much.

I have been at the Galleria Mall a few times, Target,
had a mani-pedicure and done some shopping.  Arvid
and I have also eaten at the food court at the mall
a couple of times.  Simple, but so so good.

Christmas is in full swing everywhere.  When we left
PR it was already party time.  Here the decorations are
also out and just like that the festive season is here.

I really enjoyed browsing around
and checking out all things Christmas.

Sniff has had some good times here, he's had his own private
suite and has enjoyed the beautiful water views from it.

He has checked out every spot and found a few that
he likes, of course Arvid would disagree with this.

Although we only had a month in Fort Lauderdale,
we did quite a few things, been to a few favorite places
(when it didn't rain), overall loved every moment,
and looking forward to more soon.  Very soon.

One of the best moments for Arvid was meeting up
again with his friend Jim.  They have had a few good
times together and hopefully many more to come.

Being able to go to Monty's was top of the things I
wanted to do, fortunately we did.  Even if it rained.

Always a good time and good food at Monty's.

Until next time.  Hopefully not too long.

I made a new kitty friend in Fort Lauderdale.
Her name is Snowflake.  A once feral kitty is now the
sweetest little thing.  Loves to be touched and petted.

Thank you for the good times.  Looking forward to more soon.

There is always something to be grateful for...

Monday November 29th~ New Week

Be thankful for what you have.
Your life is someone else's fairytale...

Monday morning waking up to very cooler
temperatures.  We asked for it and we have it.

In a strange way it feels like home.  As Arvid said to me,
"we have more friend in Branson than we ever did in Florida."
And we have lived most of our lives in Florida πŸ˜‚.

Today I go home for Sniff.  Yes Florida is still home
and always will be.  Branson is home for now, at the end of
the day, we will be back home in Fort Lauderdale.  I have
missed my niff very much and can't wait to see him.

It's been 29 days since we left PR.  29 days since
I last saw my PR kitties.  29 days since I last fed them.
Yes, I miss them very much.  I hope they are OK.

Start of a new week.  Make it a memorable one.

The mind remembers the words, but the heart  remembers
how it feels.  The mind can forget, but the heart never will...

Sunday November 28th ~

The greatest discovery of all time
is that a person can change his future
 by merely changing his attitude...

Life's changes come in all shapes and sizes.
For some of us a big change is simply organizing
your pantry or adding plants to the living room.

Others of us may be on precipice of a big career change
with cross-country move or about to find out that our
family of three is now going to be four. Change can be
happy and exciting as well as messy and complicated.

And as we found out this past year, change
can be painful when we lose connection with
those close to us and when we find ourselves in
a constant state of uncertainty. I should know.

Whether we're are going through a season of grief,
heading off to your first year of college, or navigating
a break-up—it's helpful to know that change is not a
bad thing. In fact, it has the power to challenge and shape
you into a more complex and resilient human being
that will not only survive the curveballs life
throws, but actually thrive despite them!

Good morning all.  Remember if you never take
risks you may never know what you can achieve.

Moving doesn't change who you are. It only
changes the view outside your window...

Saturday November 27th ~

No matter what your heartache may be,
laughing helps you forget it for a few seconds...

It's been a long month, and it's still not over.
Since coming from Puerto Rico we have been busy.
In many ways it has been a lifesaver.  A part of my heart is
still in Puerto Rico.  Missing those little ones I have come
to care for and to love.  I miss my sister very much.

Hopefully soon we will be a little more settled
and life can have some kind of normalcy again.
Even though I am sad, I know there are others who are
much worse off.  It's not a competition.  Everyone's,
grief, heartache, woes, pains and anger is their
own, and we all deal with it as best as we can.

To all a good day.  In life we all have our demons,
and we each deal with it the best way we can.
There is no wrong or right. It's called life.

The shattering of a heart when being
broken is the loudest quiet ever...

Black Friday πŸ–€ ~

Go to the mall on Black Friday, they said.
You will never come out alive, they said...

And the shopping frenzy has begun. Good luck.πŸ–€

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving.  This would
be Friday November 26th, but if you listen to retailers,
Black Friday already began at the start of the month.

Yes, if you've waited until the actual day, you're out
of luck.  And that is according to most major retailers
such as Amazon, Best Buys, Target and Walmart.

As most Americans know, Black Friday is one
of the biggest deal shopping events of the year.  On
Black Friday, almost every major retailer offers big
discounts on holiday gifts, hottest toys of the year,
apparel, kitchen gifts tech gadgets and more.

Traditionally on Black Friday some shoppers stay
up late the night of Thanksgiving (not us) or wake
up early to line up in front of stores for early
 morning openings and doorbuster deals.

In light of COVID-19 many stores closed
on Thanksgiving 2020 and shoppers were
 directed to online shopping instead.

The major retailers have already kicked off their
Black Friday sales.  Some as early as October πŸ™ˆ  Sure
there are great deals to be made, but at the same time, the
lines, the crowds, the pushing (if you went to the stores).

I was never a Black Friday shopper.  My loss, but I'm OK
with that.  Didn't do it before won't start now. Somedays
my mind and my thoughts are still far far awayπŸ–€ .

To those who will be heading out early in the
morning good luck and hopefully you find the deals
you're looking for. Don't forget Cyber Monday.

Whoever said money can't buy happiness
simply didn't know where to go shopping...

Thanksgiving 2021~

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was,
"thank you," that would suffice. Practicing gratitude
is a very powerful tool to shift your attention on the
things you don't have to the things you do have
and this alone will make you feel better...

Last year we celebrated Thanksgiving in Puerto Rico
with Nirvana, Kimsy, J and Juan.  That time we lived in
what is called pandemic times.  Today the pandemic is
more or less "old" news, and we are back in Florida.

I really miss Kimsy and my sister and those delicious
sangrias😍  So many wonderful memories in Puerto Rico.

Even though I have had some ups and its downs, there
is so much to be grateful for;  I remind myself of that
everyday.  I may not have everything I want, but I sure
have all that I need right now.  For that I am grateful.

My heart is not healed, but everyday I tell myself
that
everything is going to be OK.  I tell myself that there is
so much life has to give to us.  We just have to look at it with
the right attitude and be grateful.  I remind myself that there
are others who have so little. but are grateful always.

For now wishing you all a good day and don't forget,
as we express our gratitude, we must never forget
that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to
live by them"  Happy Thanksgiving to all.  Be safe,
enjoy, and yes put on those few extra pounds...

An optimist is a person who starts a new diet on
Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving after all is a word of action.
Give thanks not just on Thanksgiving Day, but every day of your life.
Appreciate and never take for granted all that you have..

The Right Attitude Helps~ Wednesday November 24th

It’s how we carry ourselves, shape our viewpoints,
and interact with others in both good and bad times.
A good attitude is often a quality people look for
in others but fail to display themselves...

One of the things I was really looking forward to
was meeting my friend Liliana again.  It's been a long
time since we saw each other.  Even when we lived in
Florida last year we hardly saw much of each other.
Another consequence of the darn pandemic.

We met, we had lunch together and we chatted for
a very long time.  It was very good to finally
see each other and to hug each other.

The pandemic has affected Liliana's life in
many ways.  She pet sits for a living.  Usually she
stays overnight with the dogs, and most of the times
the job would be anywhere from three days to
weeks.  She was making a good living.πŸ‘€

Because of the pandemic, people stayed at home.
She lost a few of her very good clients, and it's been
rough on her.  Same  as it has for so many. She was
sad, down but still optimistic that things will pick
up soon.  I admire her for that.  Life is not easy.

For everyone, I hope things get better soon.
Remember the way you face life, your attitude has a
lot to say as well.  Life is already difficult as is, why
bring in to it just negativity and constant complaining.
I will be the first to say I am guilty at times of doing
this, but I try very very hard to pull myself out.

Attitude is everything, so pick a good one...
