Life is like a mirror, we get the best results when we smile at it...
Soon we will be heading out to Eleuthera........our second home. My husband Arvid is only talking about that and nothing else. For him being there is like being in heaven.Once you are in Eleuthera it seems as if you are in an entirely different place on earth.
You arrive to the warm Caribbean breezes gently caressing you. You sense and feel the change all around you wrapping you like a warm blanket... the attitude of the people....warm, friendly & always with a smile. Life is so much more laid back. You'll find the people on Eleuthera are friendly and helpful.
The island of Eleuthera is the first island to be settled in The Bahamas by Europeans.
Eleuthera extends over one hundred miles and is located between Cat Island and the Abacos, and sixty miles from Nassau and rarely more than two miles wide. Eleuthera offers dramatic cliffs, rolling hills, miles and miles of white powder soft, or pink sand beaches, sheltered coves and white pounding surf and quaint little villages and towns. The genuine Island friendliness and hospitality is felt as soon as you enter any one of these towns.
Eleuthera Island is quiet but never dull unspoiled but not uncivilized informal but not primitive. It is best explored by jeep or car.
The first time we went to Eleuthera was in 2004. My husband owned some lots in Eleuthera Island Shores for several years and had never seen it. One day I suggested to him we take a trip and just check it out....little did I know that from that one trip we were going to be hooked forever.
I checked online and found a beautiful place called The Cove. That was where we stayed the first time we went to the Island and I believe it was because of the beauty of this place we kept on coming back time after time....
Eleuthera's climate is very comfortable, with daytime temperatures in the winter in the mid 70's and very rarely lower that 68 to 72 at night, and in the summer the average daytime temperature can get as warm as 88, with night time temperatures in the high 70's. During the summer months you always get the easterly trade winds that cool Eleuthera.
As you can tell we are looking forward to being there again. We have met some of the nicest people out in leuthera. People I can call friends and I know that if we ever needed anything they would be more than happy to be of assistance.
My husband and I are in the process of doing a big develpoment callled Lakeview Estates....but this I will introduce later.

As a sideline today was a beautiful day here in Fort Lauderdale. For the first time in a month we were able to enjoy our hot tub and pool. We have a great life and for this I am am very grateful....
Today, give a stranger one of your smiles. It might be the only sunshine he sees all day...
