First you make your habits, then your habits make you...
Yesterday after breakfast I went to feed Legacy
since I did not see her yesterday afternoon. It was cold
and very windy. She was not there, but I saw an empty
bowl next to her mat. Whatever was in it, she had eaten
all of it. Always someone nice out there. Legacy
is much luckier than many of the other outdoor,
stray kitties who have no one to care them.
Though she was not there I cleaned up her area.
I brushed off all the debris off her mats and in
doing so I got a little cut under my eye from one
of the branches there. I'll survive. Plus it's just
another scar to add character to my face😂
I did go back later in the afternoon, my usual
time and she was there. Something/someone has
scared her because she stayed behind the fence again
and does not want to come out. I did give her food. I
went on my knees and pushed it behind the fence.
Morning at home follow a pattern. Sniff refuses
to eat, Arvid stands by him, talks to him and does
get him to eat some food. When Arvid wants
to he has a lot of patience. I saw it with him
and Brutus, and I am seeing it with Sniff.
We did try the mini pineapple and it did not
disappoint. Super sweet. Arvid and I have
been having little nibbles of it everyday. To all a
very good day. The heat is on at home, so right
now we're not freezing. Nice and warm.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence,
then, is not an act, but a habit...
