Friday October 24th~ Granite Falls, North Carolina

It’s a terrible thing, I think, in life, 

to wait until you’re ready...

 This is where we always gather for countless hours

 of laugher, conversations and good food.  Mom and 

dad's kitchen nook in North Carolina. So many very

 good times right here.  Today we make some more.

Yes, Arvid and I are in North Carolina at my mom and dad's. 

 Nina and David are also here.  Arvid is keeping an eye out

 for the deers.  They usually show up a few times a day.

Today is a busy day for us, and it's best to get an

 early start if we hope to accomplish all that needs to 

be done.  A good day to all.  Cherish your memories 

for one day they may be all you have left 💚

Some of our most beautiful memories and

 moments were made right here at mom and 

dad's in Granite Falls, North Carolina.

Life is a collection of moments. We 

didn't realize we were making memories,

 we just knew we were having fun...

Chilly Sunday January 15th ~

Cold weather in Florida?  Ain't nobody got time fo' that...

Once again the heat is on, and will stay on for the next two days.  

Yes, another cold front is hitting Florida, and us Floridians are 

not prepared for it.  Not even the tourists from up North.  

No one expects to freeze when visiting Florida 😂 

Mom and dad are leaving North Carolina today driving to Florida.  

Temperature wise, that big a difference right now.  Both places

 very cold, but Florida will get warmed up soon enough.  

Will do them good to get away from winter for a little.

Sniff loves to get all covered up in this "freezing" weather, and of

 course I cover him up.  Can't have my Sniff Sniff catching a cold.  

He has had the sniffles on and off.  Yep, he likes it very warm.

Random info, but at the same time a bit surprising.

Time for some soccer games for Arvid.  Nothing keeps him 

away from that, and nothing keeps Sniff away from snuggling in.

Keep looking up .. that's the secret of life...

First Bar Hopping...

We didn't realize we were making memories,

we just knew we were having fun...

Yesterday Brutus had his final appointment with his vet here in Chicago.  As usual as soon

as he sees his carrier he takes off into hiding.  We have to do all sorts of things to "trick"

him into coming out.  Nothing really works.

Once in the taxi, Brutus is always very quiet.  Arvid is one very careful

person when it comes to handling Brutus.  He refuses to let go of him 

and always wants to carry him.  Brutus does enjoy all this fuss over him.

Once at the vet, Brutus was actually greeted by most of the staff.  Everyone

wanting to see how he was doing and to tell him how

handsome he is.  Both Arvid and I were just smiling and enjoying

all the attention he was getting.  As usual, Brutus checked out everything.

After the vet's visit, Arvid said that it would be really nice to go to 

the Pub and take him.  Said, "the fresh air would do Brutus good"

It was the perfect outing for all three of us.  Brutus enjoyed being out

as much as we do.  Arivid was constantly smiling saying that we 

should do this more often.  Now he says we should take Brutus out with 

us on a few of our outings back home in Florida.  Not sure I agree, but 

for now it was just good to see how much he loved being out and listening 

to all the sounds and seeing all the sights around him...

Yes, the day was perfect after all.  Arvid very happy with Brutus' first 

bar hopping as he calls it.

Remember, the best thing about memories is making them.

Good times come and go, but the memories will last forever.

I want to spend forever making memories of us...
